Very poor. Breakfest ok. Room small. Shower very tiny. Bed very uncomfortable. No blanket only sheet and pilow the worst pilow i ever had. Bed was small and so uncomfortable. double bed they put 2 beds together. Crazzy!!! No restaurant !!!! 2 people on reception dosent speak english. Very unfriendly stuff. Only the Italian man he was good. Location ok with bus no problem to get to pier. Housekeeper dosent even change towels!!! you have to go and usk them for new one.wifi totaly zero!!! 2 floor and wifi dosent work in the room at all!!
Stayed there for 3 nights. The person who greeted us at the reception was less than friendly. There was a mix up concerning our reservation because apparently the rooms we had reserved were in the Viktoria Dependance, which was an annex to the Viktoria Palace Hotel. I am unsure how to qualify the Dependance but from the looks of it it was one villa to be shared by a few guests (I could be wrong because we did not see the rooms there and the man at the reception was not willing to give any explanations.) We asked to see one of the available rooms in the main hotel and he reluctantly gave us a key. Five minutes after we went up to check the room located on the second floor the reception called the room to ask us to return ! We took the room anyway (because we were just too tired to look for another hotel). It was clean and was facing the lagoon. It did not have a balcony but there were other rooms with balconies. The TV was so old it did not recognize a usb with videos. The hotel is located a bit far from the center but there is a bus stop nearby. The car ferry off the Lido is a 3-minutes drive from there. There isn't much around there though. There is free parking right in front of the hotel but it is not big enough to accommodate all guests with cars. It is first come first served. The breakfast was good but nothing special given that it is a 4 star hotel. The breakfast room is cleared out exactly at the time they announced. They even took away the hot beverage machine so no chance for late comers to get anything or for others to get a second cup of coffee. They have a restaurant so it is possible to have dinner there. We were able to get drinks (two glasses of wine) from the night manager at the reception and go sit in the garden in the evening which was very enjoyable. All in all it was a good stay, a bit overpriced for what it is and the first impression ruined by a rude man at the reception !
Booked 3 nights on 28th March for May visit . Paid €481 . Checked late rooms on second night and you could book a room for £64 . Breakfast was €12 per day for each guest . We ate out . We also had to change our first room because of dirty walls and a large hair on bath towel . We were happy with second superior room but they wanted an extra €50 a night . We refused to pay . Didn't sleep the second night because of staff talking loudly at midnight and banging and moving things . The walls are thin and you can hear next doors TV . We were very disappointed and will not be returning
We stayed for three nights in April, traveled with Easyjet for 3 people it was £500 for us all including flights so a really good deal, but we did book many months in advance. Location The hotel is set about a 20-25 min walk from the main Lido vaparetto stop, however you can purchase a travel (Vaparetto and Bus) ticket when you get off the ferry (these include the local bus across the Lido) for 30 euro for 48 hours. The Hotel The hotel has a lovely garden which is beautiful in the sunshine for a drink. The bar was very small and not really very useful which was disappointing. It would be good to have a bar where after a long day in Venice you can relax with a drink, but the bar was very small and the only place to drink it was in the lobby so there was no social aspect to our stay. A bottle of good house wine was 18 euro. There is no evening meal service, but there are plenty of restaurants on the Lido. Stella Restaurant was good value. Wifi - Is free and accessible from our 2nd floor room The Rooms We had a triple room, which was reasonably sized and the 'put up' bed was comfortable. I had booked a Quad room and asked them to remove the 4th bed as there was only 3 of us, however the room would not have fitted a fourth bed so I felt a bit let down that there wasn't much space. The reason I had booked a quad room was so that we would have more room for three adults. The rooms are decorated well and had the main facilities you need, but they do not have any tea or coffee making facilities. When speaking to other guests they were disappointed that this was not provided too. Breakfast Breakfast was plentiful, with bread, toast, cereals, jams, eggs, juice, sausage and warm croissants and cake. Good coffee too. The local bus goes directly from outside the hotel into the main area on the Lido. If you already have the travel ticket for the Vaparetto Alilaguna (we got 48 hrs ticket) you should be able to get your bus's on the Lido included so its good value otherwise I think it is 3 euro per person. Don't forget to validate your card when you get on the bus on one of the on board machines. Overall, would I stay again? Yes - The lack of indoor bar seating area is disappointing and no alternatives close by but the garden is beautiful and would be wonderful in the summer, so you could have a drink in the garden.
A lovely hotel, which is an idea base for visiting Venice. All the staff were very helpful. Top tip, when you first arrived at the ferry station, you need to take bus A from the other side of the road, otherwise you get a 30 minute tour of the southern part of Lido 😐
This is a great place to stay when visiting Venice. The room was clean and modern. And the view from the small balcony was incredible. It was very convenient to the ferry and a bus across the street will take you into town.
The hotel was lovely, the room was nice with beautiful furniture and the bathroom was modern. Across the street is a bus that will take you to the ferry and waterbus stops, it definitely doesn't run on time so be aware of this if you need to catch certain transport. Lido is a lovely island in itself, if we had more time we definitely would of spent a day or two just wandering around. The only negative thing I have to say, and the reason I can only give this hotel an "Average" review is because of this. The doors inside the room didn't have locks, only swipe cards, this worried me so while we were still inside I would press the "do not disturb" button so the cleaners didn't wake us. Now to be fair I did forget to turn the "do not disturb" button off and when we would arrive back I was pleasantly shocked that the room would be tidy. UNTIL the day that we decided to sleep in a little and stay out later that night, we were both up around 11 and I showered first, once I was finished I stepped out and walked over to the bed to talk to my new fiancé, luckily I still had my towel around me as a man just buzzed himself in.... obviously I was shocked but much to my amazement the man just stood their for a little too long before closing the door. We later found out this was the owner, he explained that he thought the "do not disturb" button was broken so was entering to turn it off but I feel uneasy knowing that someone firstly saw me seconds away from being naked and also entered my room without knocking because the "do not disturb" was on. All in all, with my recent hotel experiences I may start to look at AirBnB more...
Great location to park for free, then bus/ferry to Venice/Venezia. Staff is friendly and caring; breakfast includes meat and boiled or scrambled (with cheese) eggs, plus white and multigrain toast in addition to the sweet croissants and pastries. Juice, tea, American Coffee plus espresso is available. Bus stop across the street takes you directly to the ferry. This hotel was one of the best stays in our 3 week tour of Italy.
We actually didn't plan on staying here, we had booked a different hotel by the ferry station but were switched here due to problem at the other hotel. We were a bit disappointed at first, as we were hoping to stay near the cafes and restaurants, however that disappointment was short lived. We had a lovely very clean room on the 3rd floor with a balcony overlooking the water. The room was a bit small for our family of 3 however we did manage to fit our travel cot in there with our bags. We were offered a larger room, free of charge, when they realised we had a toddler as I think this info wasn't shared by our original hotel. Breakfast was really tasty, choices of eggs, sausage, cheese, meat, fresh fruit, yummy cakes and breads. A really good selection. The bus stop is just outside the hotel and comes frequently. The main area of the island is only about a 10-15 minute walk, along the water which was quite pleasant. The hotel also has an amazing garden in the back, with a kids play area and lovely loungers. It was very handy to let our toddler let out some steam. The only disappointment was no kettle in the room. We wouldn't hesitate to book again!
We went with a small tour group. The staff was very helpful and accommodating having to check in and tend to 14 people at once! We had a lovely room in the front of the building looking out to the water from the terrace. It was cozy and clean and well kept during our stay. Breakfast was DELICIOUS and they went to the trouble of setting up an hour early for us on our last day!! :) The bus stop was right out front and the bus arrived every 20 minutes. We had a wonderful time and would book here again on our next trip.
