I have just spent 3 days in Venezia and stayed at this hotel, the location is great , 5 mins walk from San Marco but in a quiet area of Arsenale, Carlo was fantastic, assisting with best places to eat , what to do and see and generally very helpful. He organized a trip to Murano for us and when it came to looking after our bags etc he was very sympatico . Intend going back in 3 months time
We really enjoyed our stay at A Tribute To Music. The staff was very kind and welcoming. And they recommended many excellent restaurants and local spots to go and take beautiful pictures. Our room had a beautiful view of the lagoon and the sunsets were incredible. We loved our breakfast server so sweet and she makes the best espresso and cappuccinos. The location was excellent, 10 minute walk to San Marcos square. Lots of great restaurants nearby including one of our favorties Scalinetto recommended by Carlo.
In our life it is good to splurge a few times and I have done that to stay here, booking the penthouse terraced room. On my last trip to Venice I was really looking forward to staying at this hotel on the entrance to the Grand Hotel. The first time I stayed here they upgraded me to one of their rooms on the top floor with a terrace. So I called several months in advance and specifically asked for room 401 which has a terrace. It has french doors leading to your own terrace. There is only one other room on this floor, also with a terrace. They will bring your breakfast up to you, a big tray of lovely food and you can dine and have some coffees overlooking the entrance to the Grand Hotel....so memorable. I had four nights here and will be back again....because it is worth the cost of having one of the finest memorable rooms overlooking the waters and the water born traffic of Venice.....very very highly recommended :)
Pros: great location, decent size bathroom Cons: rooms are dusty so gave me an allergic reaction, mattress didn't feel comfortable, having to leave key with front desk, front desk staff hit or miss The cons outweighed the pros for us. However, you can consider if you are looking for a centrally located hotel.
We were recommended to stay at 'A Tribute to Music' by my sister and partner who had stayed there before. We stayed for four nights and were lucky enough to be able to book one of the rooms with a roof terrace for three of them. We enjoyed our lovely breakfast there each morning watching the world go by. The room was very spacious and even had a small kitchen, dining and sitting room area along with a large bathroom. We had to move to another room for our last night but that wasn't a problem as we just had to pack and our bags were transferred to our new room by the hotel staff. All of the staff could not have been more helpful recommending good places to eat and visit. We would definitely stay there again.
We stayed here for 10 days before boarding a cruise to Greece, and we loved it. A quiet room on the second floor, we walked all over Venice, took the vaparettos, and discovered so many wonderful sights, with lots of great suggestions from staff, especially from Carlo and Ricardo. We had the breakfast once, and it was very good. Room was very clean, bed was comfy, everything worked well. Highly recommended.
This is the place to be in Venice! Charming staff! Friendliest Breakfast-Service. Only 10 minutes walk away from St Marks but a world on its own. Well furnished rooms with good heating and great bathrooms. Stunning view. Nowhere else to be in Venezia! Will definitely come back.
My stay at Tribute to Music was perfect. I had a water view room which was awesome. Breakfast was delicious and the air conditioning worked great. The best part was the friendly personnel, everyone was so helpful!
The location is the best. Just a few meters from S.Marco! But the best thing is the service. Carlo and Ricardo are so welcoming and friendly! They made the whole stay:) Definitely going back to this place. Absolutely loved it!
I checked in late, and at first glance, I was not comfortable. The entrance was small and in very poor condition. The worst of it , in the morning I was rushed by the front desk clerk, who was rude to say the least. I will never stay here again.
