Very central position. My daughter and I had a lovely room with a view over the lagoon.Large bathroom but shower not too good. Continental breakfasts were very good with lots of choice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. On the whole it was very good value and we would stay there again.
To be honest, I can‘t believe any of those positive reviews. Hotel on very noisy street - sound isolation from both inside and outside - terrible. Room was very dark and small. Feeling like that is not a hotel, but some student bedsit from mid-70. There are plenty better hotels in Venice, they are more expensive, but they look like hotels. It needed refurbishment 10 years ago.
Booked this hotel with sister in circa April 2017. A Tribute to Music offered us some rooms with canal view in which were interesting to us, with an excellent value. Don't be "deceived" by its outdoor looks, since what you get will be much interesting, much better. We actually got a classic-tinged room with a really good canal view, and we were so delighted to see the canals from room's balconies - very exquisite. The room had complete appliances we needed, also a surprisingly spacious bathroom. Backdrop/wallpaper and carpet might appear old, but for us they added some classical atmosphere to our Venice experience. Breakfast was situated in first floor; although the room was small and menus were simple, the kitchen staff was very friendly. The front-door staffs (Giuliano and Manuel) were also friendly and helpful, even with the wi-fi problem (wi-fi didn't work during our short stay). They were able to provide you pick-up service, private service, water taxi order, etc; you name them; with plenty of suggestions. Last but not least, they would e-mail you their super-complete guide about location, how to reach, and Venice events during your stay - after you complete your booking. I would say I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Venice. Keep the good work!
Great location, lovely, friendly and helpful staff. Overall good value for money. Basic breakfast, very small bathroom and the bed was a bit hard in my opinion. But perfect for a short stay in Venice.
Although the building is dated, the room was clean and looked onto the canal but Thor BEST thing was the service. We were treated so well! The gentlemen on both shifts went out of their way to be sure that not only we were safe but also arranged for sightseeing we would have missed! And the breakfast left nothing to be desired!
From arriving at the airport the vaporetto took us almost to the door of the hotel. We were welcomed warmly and were told we had been upgraded to a superior room without even asking. The room was fabulous but the main attraction were the two double windows that completely opened opened wide overlooking the lido. We had fantastic views of the bay and were literally 5 minutes away from st Marks square and basilica, the bridge of sighs, the doges palace and several vaporetto stops that would take us anywhere we needed to go. On our last day the receptionist asked us what are plans were, and when we said we were going to see the Murano glass factory, he laid on a complimentary speedboat taxi to Murano, where we were given 5* treatment. Breakfast, although basic, was in a delightful room with a lovely view and sound of nearby church bells and was certainly sufficient for us. An absolutely delightful stay, and I would recommend this lovely hotel highly.
My husband and I recently enjoyed a weekend in Venice. We received a warm welcome and excellent service throughout our stay. The staff were really helpful in giving advice on places to go and how to access them. The rooms are very clean and comfortable in a lovely traditional style. We found the location to be excellent for accessing all the main sites, if fact we felt it was the perfect place to stay for price and visiting the surrounding areas. We decided not to have breakfast in the hotel due to the other reviews which informed us it was a bit on the expensive side for continental. There are plenty of places around to enjoy food and drink. I would avoid drinking on the sea front as they charge 10 Euro a pint. The Water Buses are good value . Buy your passes when you arrive and you can use them for as many days as you purchase as often as you like during the day or night and that also includes travel to the local must see Islands, Murano and Borane.
Pros: Its a nice cozy hotel with a wonderful location. The room was clean and elegant, with a fabulous view of the water. The bathroom clean & modern and also had a big window with water views. The staff was very professional, specially Carlos, who gave us wonderful advice about where to shop and what to see in Venice. The confirmation email sent by the hotel had very clear instructions for how to reach the hotel from Train station, which Vaporetto to take and where to get off. Definitely A+ for the hotel staff. Cons: Only the carpeting in the room felt a little dated. Definitely A+ for the hotel.
We found that to stay in Venice for a reasonable price most of the hotels looked like flea pits. This came up as a sale on hotels.com and we took a punt. We were shocked at how nice the hotel was. The hotel is a very short walk to st marks square and there are a lot of places to eat for a good price on the waterfront between the hotel and st marks. We opted for the standard room, it was a bit on the small side but adequate for a short stay. The decor of the room was fantastic with everything being immaculately clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful with some good dinner tips. There was also a free boat to murano which was a nice touch
We recently had the good fortune to spend 2 nights here while in Venice. The place is full of charm. We stayed in a large room with a private bathroom. There was a large window that faced the grand canal which opened up for a great cool breeze. The room was very large and the bed looked like it was fit for a queen to stay there. Nice bathroom. Very well located and convenient to everything. The free breakfast was more than adequate and prepared with pasteries, meats, cheeses, fresh fruits and really good coffees and teas. The front desk staff was so friendly and helped with anything we needed. Carlo has great recommendations for dinner and eve arranged at trip to the glass making factory for us. If you want a clean, quaint, convenient, and charming place to stay that will only enhance your visit to Venice, then this is the place to stay!
