My husband and I recently enjoyed a weekend in Venice. We received a warm welcome and excellent service throughout our stay. The staff were really helpful in giving advice on places to go and how to access them. The rooms are very clean and comfortable in a lovely traditional style. We found the location to be excellent for accessing all the main sites, if fact we felt it was the perfect place to stay for price and visiting the surrounding areas. We decided not to have breakfast in the hotel due to the other reviews which informed us it was a bit on the expensive side for continental. There are plenty of places around to enjoy food and drink. I would avoid drinking on the sea front as they charge 10 Euro a pint. The Water Buses are good value . Buy your passes when you arrive and you can use them for as many days as you purchase as often as you like during the day or night and that also includes travel to the local must see Islands, Murano and Borane.

Pros: Its a nice cozy hotel with a wonderful location. The room was clean and elegant, with a fabulous view of the water. The bathroom clean & modern and also had a big window with water views. The staff was very professional, specially Carlos, who gave us wonderful advice about where to shop and what to see in Venice. The confirmation email sent by the hotel had very clear instructions for how to reach the hotel from Train station, which Vaporetto to take and where to get off. Definitely A+ for the hotel staff. Cons: Only the carpeting in the room felt a little dated. Definitely A+ for the hotel.

We found that to stay in Venice for a reasonable price most of the hotels looked like flea pits. This came up as a sale on hotels.com and we took a punt. We were shocked at how nice the hotel was. The hotel is a very short walk to st marks square and there are a lot of places to eat for a good price on the waterfront between the hotel and st marks. We opted for the standard room, it was a bit on the small side but adequate for a short stay. The decor of the room was fantastic with everything being immaculately clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful with some good dinner tips. There was also a free boat to murano which was a nice touch

We recently had the good fortune to spend 2 nights here while in Venice. The place is full of charm. We stayed in a large room with a private bathroom. There was a large window that faced the grand canal which opened up for a great cool breeze. The room was very large and the bed looked like it was fit for a queen to stay there. Nice bathroom. Very well located and convenient to everything. The free breakfast was more than adequate and prepared with pasteries, meats, cheeses, fresh fruits and really good coffees and teas. The front desk staff was so friendly and helped with anything we needed. Carlo has great recommendations for dinner and eve arranged at trip to the glass making factory for us. If you want a clean, quaint, convenient, and charming place to stay that will only enhance your visit to Venice, then this is the place to stay!

This hotel is super easy to find, upon arrival (really close to the water bus stop) and even after days of getting lost! (just head to the waterfront!) The view over the lagoon is a real treat to wake up to every morning too. (However, the boats outside can be quite loud quite early!) Close enough to St Mark's Square, without being oppressively overcrowded with tourists. Our room (304) was lovely: really spacious and with such typically Venetian decoration that we immediately felt holiday-y! The staff were really helpful- great recommendations for restaurants and even offered a free trip, in a luxury water taxi, to Murano island to see a glassmaking demonstration. (One small warning: soap and sachets of shampoo were provided in the en suite, but no moisturiser or conditioner.)

The hotel was perfect, so easy to get to upon arrival and very friendly staff. The room was fun retro chintz, strange television which informed us to enjoy the view out the window, which amused us no end. Clean and comfortable with the exact view we were after! The staff were friendly and helpful and provided a free trip to Murano. It was just lovely and made the holiday dreamy.

This was our first time in Venice and the directions on the hotel website made it a breeze to find. Just along from the water bus stop, facing out onto the lagoon, this is an ideal location. We arrived before check in and the lady at reception was so lovely, marking places I'd looked up online on a map so we could go exploring while they prepared the room. In no more than 5 minutes you're at St Marks Square and the Doges Palace. If you don't mind walking then the whole of Venice is easily accessible by foot from this hotel and if your feet start feeling sore, it has good water bus links too! The room was lovely (we didn't have the lagoon view but I imagine they're amazing), clean and comfortable. Looks just like the photos. Breakfast was continental buffet with very friendly staff offering you hot drinks on arrival. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and we will stay again if we return to Venice!

My wife and I together with another couple (all from Oban,Scotland) had 4 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed them.Location good and not too busy, the view from the rooms was amazing.Hotel quite quirky in a nice way (Arsenale).Staff very helpful.Breakfasts were good.Handy for a number of good and not too expensive restaurants.

This hotel is a great location, less than 10 minutes walk from San Marco Square and close to waterbus stops. The rooms look exactly like the professional pictures here. The beds are comfy, could do with bigger/more pillows though. Only real downside is the breakfast, don't bother with it!

Our second trip to Venice and this hotel did not disappoint. You just can't argue with that lagoon view. We were there for Carnevale and could watch the exquisitely costumed participants arriving on the vaporetti in the morning. Breakfast is basic but served with gusto by a lovely lady. Location wise it's perfect and you get the same view as from the most expensive hotel in Venice for a tiny percentage of the price. Loved the slightly kitsch rooms and the fact that it seemed to be staffed by knowledgeable Venetians.
