Disliked: Staff & service
Terrible experience
Extremely poor customer service. Upon arriving in Venice, we requested locker storage for our luggage, but the staff was unhelpful and even hung up on me. They refused to answer my five follow-up calls but picked up on my partner’s first attempt. Once they realized it was me again, they ignored my partner as well.
I was told I wouldn’t receive the access code until exactly 3 p.m., and it would be emailed to me. However, by 3:45 p.m., I still hadn’t received the email. I spent 45 minutes outside trying to get in touch with the staff, but they wouldn’t give me the code over the phone, even though they hadn’t sent the email as promised.
While the room itself was clean, the awful customer service completely ruined the experience. The view from the room was of a rundown playground. I do not recommend staying here.
We checked via the Radisson hotel, the experience was disappointing from the start. The front desk staff were rude and unwelcoming. There was no assistance with our luggage, and we were not shown to the apartment, which was difficult to find and located several floors up with no elevator access.
We had no hot water during the first day and night of our stay. There was no way to request help from the apartment itself, as there was no phone provided. When we approached the front desk at the Radisson, they were dismissive and didn’t believe that the water was cold. After insisting, they eventually checked and confirmed that the water was indeed cold, but said there was nothing they could do. We were told we’d have to wait until 9AM the following day for a solution because the apartment was separate from the hotel.
It had been raining, so my partner and I were cold and, without hot water, we both became sick. We were extremely disappointed with the lack of hospitality. Furthermore, there were no basic amenities upon check-in, such as hand soap or bottled water.
While the apartment itself was nice and the location was good, the poor service, lack of hot water, and absence of contact options for assistance made this a stay we’d rather forget. This was especially disappointing as it was part of our honeymoon trip around Italy, marking the end of our journey on a terrible note.
We’ve been trying to file a formal complaint and request a refund, several days passed with no reply
I rarely leave reviews. But honestly this property exceeded all my expectations. (I had some tech issues, but who comes to Venice to waste time on tech :-) ). Was easy to locate. The facilities were spacious and fantastic. Cant wait to go back.
