Hotel Cristallo2.0 out of 5.0

My family had a week to spend in Italy, and I knew that with three small kids (7, 4, and 2), they were going to want a slower pace after the first few days in Rome. Venice sounded lovely, but a beach sounded even better. Lido gave us the best of both worlds, and Hotel Cristallo made it a possibility. Only 6 minutes to both the beach and the vaporetto stop, it was the perfect choice. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly. Expect that the hotel is a bit older, we knew that beforehand, and everything was in working order. We really had no problems. Breakfast was not the best I've ever had, but is pretty typical for a European hotel breakfast. A fruit bowl would have been nice though. All in all, if we find ourselves in Venice again, I would stay here again. The location was perfect, and the value was good.
The room was great, spacious, clean and quiet. Reception was sometimes unattended and it was difficult to get some help when our room key would not work one afternoon. However, this was sorted out once we were able to make ourselves understood via the outside intercom. Breakfast was at a small, friendly cafe round the corner and a bit sparse - we were offered a pastry and tea or coffee.
Great Hotel, Very courteous owner and staff, Great Location, Good breakfast to jump start the day. Had a memorable stay in Venice. The furniture may be little outdated but had a great stay. Good value for money. Many restaurants, cafeterias, bars and supermarket nearby. Its VENICE- a beautiful city.
12-18 November Young couple. Goof location. Staff beyond amazing. Kind warm friendly very accommodating . quiet hotel and good location. Many cafes about and few restaurants. great for price. 5 minute walk from the water Can't fault it. Will be back
My boyfriend and I went to Venice for a weekend getaway and booked with hotel Cristallo. I’m so happy he chose this hotel. First off the manger (Andy) is so sweet and he’s very knowledgeable about the islands. The boat station is only a 5 min walk. Restaurants and bars are all around. But most important was the quality of sleep we got. Italian hotels usually have very thin walls but this hotel is quiet. We never heard any other people. They have a wonderful breakfast. Just a wonderful experience. Thanks Andy!
The hotel has seen better times, but the location and prize are definitely fair. The rooms are simple but clean. The breakfast is typically italian (unfortunately, since I am german and used to a differentvkind). But this is all ok if you are just looking for a short stay and well located spot. People have been kind and helpful.
I stayed at this hotel with friends and the staff was very accommodating. We fit 4 people into one room and the beds were comfy. Shower was hot and we were able to eat breakfast in the morning before our daily activities! It is close to the vaperetto stop and near restaurants and bars. It was nice staying off the main island and having a break from the crowds. Very easy to travel to Venice for the day and travel back to Lido for the night!
Although this hotel is not on the main island it is very close to the water metro! Multiple boats go back and forth between Lido and the main island. Breakfast included and it's not too bad! Bathroom appliances and sleek and new looking. Slept on a twin bed that was also surprisingly comfortable.
Yes it's a 2* but very basic and not that clean. I wouldn't say staff were unhelpful just indifferent, didn't make any effort. Breakfast ok, pastries, cereals etc. The twin room we stayed in was at the back of the hotel, the A/C was useless and the room wasn't that clean. The beach is in walking distance and the location is good for restaurants and vaporetto. If I went back to Venice I would not stay at this hotel or even on the Lido. Transport is very expensive and it was difficult to get to and from Treviso airport.
This hotel was a great value! Easy walk to the beach and shuttle to Venice. They accommodated two adults and two children. Plenty of reasonably priced restaurants very close and the kids loved the gelato stand right below our balcony. The staff was friendly and helpful.
