Best Western Plus Hotel Bologna

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

This hotel rates a 5, as it is a very high quality hotel and very well priced for the area. Good modest value hotels in Venice, 5 minutes by train, are located near Piazza Roma and cost near $200. This is a very nice modern hotel with rooms much larger than average, in a good location across the street from the rail station in Mestre, priced in the lower one hundred dollar range. Mestre is the first rail stop when leaving the Venice train station going almost anywhere. We took the train to Padua, for 3.6 euro each. The hotel staff is friendly and the front desk staff speak flawless English. The restaurant is also very good and well priced, even more of a dramatic comparison to restaurants on the island. Our room was a junior suite, and had a king with a tub, and very clean.

Second time I stayed here and still love it. It's one train stop outside of Venice itself but it's only 10 mins away and very easy to get to. I prefer a better quality hotel with more room for a much lower price. I would recommend to anyone that has champagne taste in a beer pocket. Upgrade to the kindle suite, definitely worth the extra room if you're there a few days.

Staff were helpful. Easy access by train into Venice

Clean and updated hotel conveniently located next to the train station. Excellent for families.

Staff was very helpful. You can buy tickets to the metro at the reception desk instead of braving the crowds and long lines in the train station. The breakfast options were GREAT! More than pleased with this hotel.

Second time in tris hotel was very nice again. Staff was nice an helo full. Breakfast very good.

After a weeks visit to Tuscany we spent two nights at the hotel after returning our rental car to the airport. We were very satisfied with the hotel, room, and staff. Breakfast was quite sufficient. Room and bath facilities adequate and clean. Good assortment of choices at breakfast. Hotel was well located to those who did not wish to stay in Venice but be near the airport. Bus service and/or train service just a short wide into Venice. Tickets for train and bus available at the hotel desk. Cab fare to the airport was about 40 Euro. The staff were quite helpful in very way. Would gladly stay here again or recommend it to others.

This is great hotel for the price and is not on Venice Islands. Which is good because they don't have hotels like this one on the Islands. Hotel has a safe to keep passports or other valuables. You take a short train ride to Venice (5 to 6 minutes). Overall Venice is a nice place to visit but not with a stroller. Be very careful in Italy. There are many pickpockets. Don't keep you wallet in your back pocket. Keep all valuables hidden. I almost had my wallet taken. When unemployment rate is so high you expect such things. So be very careful, people bump into you all the time. so keep thing in the inside pockets.

Stayed at this hotel twice for my last two Europe vacation. Rooms are clean and lovely. Staff is very helpful. Seems to get better as the years go by. Great base to explore venice and avoid the hassle of watertaxis

We rented a car in Milan and drop it off next door to the hotel and took pity on all the people in Venice ot trying to carry there baggage around over the cobblestone streets and bridges on the canals. The rooms in the hotel were great the buffet breakfast was wonderful. We had a great three night stay. Be sure to ask for one of the new rooms in the back to avoid the street noise.

This is not the four seasons, but a great hotel where I will stay again. It is a ten minute train ride to Venice, the train station is right across the street. The staff of this hotel is exceptionally helpful and cheerful, the bar is great and the food is good

No Complaints, room was good, breakfast was good, location is great!

I didn't want to spend $300 a night, so started looking at hotels on the mainland in mestre. This was opposite the station so was as close as it could be. Transport links are also as good as tehy could be with frequent busses and trains, but the journey still took about 20 - 40 minutes a go. The hotel is simple, clean, spacious, efficient and affordable - a combination i was told was impossible in Venice. It also affords the possibility to explore real life for Venetians a bit in Mestre.

Stayed here for easy airport access in the early a.m. Good location for bus and trains. Neighborhood was unsafe to walk at night; per locals. Not many choices for restaurants.
