Hotel Ambasciatori

We booked the Ambasciatori, they put us next door in the Del Fino. The Del Fino was an ok, average hotel, nice sized room, big halls just aged with the clunky elevator and the normal age things. Air Conditioning was turned off in May for the entire hotel. We had booked free wifi, coffee maker in room, a gym, and AC, these ammenities where not provided. We survived since the hotel location had coffee shops on both sided, room was just barely tolerable without AC, and we went without wi fi and gym for our 3 day stay . Would not recommend for anyone since they pictured the Ambasciatori and gave us next door.

Sadly wasn't a good experience, the lady in front desk very mean, wasn't helpful at all giving explanations how to get places and tours. In top of that at the time of breakfasts they give us a hard time, make us feel like we don't deserve to be there, checking all the time when we serve food, the one I paying for, because is not free. So awful experience, unpleasant and mean staff, they don't know about costumer service and how treat tourist

I was very impressed with the lobby of the Ambasciatori. However, I was taken to the Delfino hotel instead and their lobby is not as impressive, so I worried a bit. The rooms were surprisingly nice! They were large, the king bed was comfortable, lots of pillows, and breakfast had a bit of everything. The bus picked us up across the street for a 10 minute ride into Venice. We were able to buy our tickets for the bus and the boats in Venice from the lobby for 20 euro. Much easier that way! We were very happy with our stay.

Location of hotel was good: short taxi ride from airport and a bus at the door every 10 minutes for the trip to Venice island. Maintenance of hotel was fair (bathroom shower broken and not fixed while we were there). If you like very hard beds you will love it! "Free WIFI " is a bad joke. The free stuff is not safe and my iphone would not allow access to it. A manager connected me twice to their protected wifi, but on our last day, while waiting for taxi to airport, the manager on duty was very rude, demanded payment (3-5 Euros) to connect me....

We just needed one night after our Mediterranean cruise and this was perfect. The room was good size, clean, with a frig. Also, the bus (number 4L, E1.5 each way) from the Venice transportation hub, Piazza Roma, stopped just 50 meters from the hotel. Due to luggage, we actually took a cab into Mestre, but used the bus to return to Venice for more fun. The desk staff spoke English and helped us with transportation information and ordered our early morning cab the next day. (There is an airport bus nearby, but did not start until 0530).

The location is about 3 bus stops from Venice. Great place for the price and very near locate shops and bars. Will stay there again.

Nice and clean, helpful staffs, good breakfast. A litter far from old town, but bus just in front of the hotel, restaurants around.

The hotel is very clean. The service is excellent. The hotel is very close to the port, we use the local bus to go to the cruise port.

Very good solution for a car trip in the Venice. Super close to bus station, so you can park your car for free and take a bus and go to the island for 2E, instead of paying 35E for parking in the Venice.

Average priced but rooms are super small. Close to bus line for a ride into Venice. Bus line runs 24 hours. 10 min ride Thirty dollar cab ride one way to Venice Hotel is in a not so nice neighborhood, kinda dirty city and nothing within walking distance

Clean, nice. You can purchase everything you need right there for trips to Venice. I bought a round trip bus ticket for 3euro and a round trip boat trip for 7euro. Walked outside to the bus station and took the #4 bus. 10 min ride to Venice. Then off the bus and walk 100 feet get on boat that takes you to st. Marks square. Wander around for hours then boat back to train station and #4 bus back to hotel. Really couldn't ask for much else. Staff speaks English. Parking is 10euro per 24hours. You can't get lost staying here.

staff was not overly helpful but liked value since outside Venice...have to take 10 minutes bus trip each time

When you go to Venize need to know there is much cheaper to be in a hotel that is not IN VENEZIA. Mestre is like a metropolitan o surbs city 10 minutes away from venice It is much cheaper to stay there and in this case this hotel offers the bes solution. It is 3 blocks away from the train station (mestre) and the bus to Venezia it is just out of the hotel. The price is good. The rooms on the 3rd floor weren't the best ones but still good

Well located hotel in Mestre just across the way from Venice. Nice room with a cramped bathroom. I found myself awkwardly up against the wall on the toilet and I am only 5'7" 150lbs. Also, shower is quite small for even myself. The hotel breakfast was a great way to start a European day. Hotel is also very conveniently located to a grocery store on the same block. Great for inexpensive eats, snacks, and wine.

Conveniently located and friendly welcome. Rooms comfortable and clean. Parking is limited and first come first served. Good base to take public transport into Venice. Breakfast was average. More choice of cereals and hot food would increase appeal.

The desk was very helpful and sold bus tickets to Venice which one can puck up across the street - very convenient. Nice complimentary breakfast in the morning. The evening meal was pricey for what you received. The room was cozy , small, nice tile bathroom, but the walls were thin so as to hear your neighbors. Also, during the night someone was knocking at my door and trying to enter. Not sure how he got the room mixed up. Neighborhood was quiet and not much going on any places to visit.

Very friendly and helpful and spoke fluent English so we had no misunderstandings. It's a $35E cab ride from the cruise dock, just across the the causeway to the mainland from Venice and halfway to the airport. It's also one city bus ride (from across the street) back into Venice where you can catch the Valporettos to travel the grand canal. It's a lovely hotel with an enchanting lobby. The free breakfast is in the restaurant upstairs. The room is a good size for two and very clean. We would recommend it and would definitely go back.

Just outside Venice in Mestre so closer to airport and much cheaper. 1 EU for easy busride into Venice; bus stop right across the street. Train station nearby also as well as a grocery store. Several small restaurants, a gelato place and a laundromat w/in walking distance. We were volcano refugees after a 16 day cruise; hotel honored our internet rate for five extra days and were exceptionally kind and helpful. We'd stay again!

very good

Away from the crowds and noise of Venice, but close enough to hop on the bus and be there within minutes. Close to bus and rail service to other towns, as well as Venice. Very friendly and helpful staff and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Rooms were immaculate.

Very good solution for a car trip in the Venice. Super close to bus station, so you can park your car for free and take a bus and go to the island for 2E, instead of paying 35E for parking in the Venice.
