Annina's House (Studio)
The apartment is situated in the heart of the small village of Varenna, named the pearl of the lake,
in a quiet 'contrada': typical steps way that brings to the lake side. Recently restored, nicely furnished, quiet, fresh in the summer, it offers anything you need.
Modern kitchen with gas cooker, microwave, toaster, refrigerator, LCD SAT TV with DVD, wardrobe, double bed, sofa bed for single use, washing machine, bathroom with shower. Free Wi-Fi connection.
It has a lovely balcony where you may have a soft drink, read a good book or enjoy relaxing moments.

Being the apartment close to the railway station and ferry you can easily visit the lake most beautiful places and move to towns without a car is needed.

The lake view, historic street and balcony were wonderful. However I found the host to be unhelpful since getting in and out of the apartment with any luggage is very difficult. Very steep stairs.

The most beautiful place! We were right next to the best restaurants and gelato shops. If you stay here, you MUST eat at La Scarpetta around the corner. We went several times and they have the best pasta in the area. Check in was super easy, and the hosts were very helpful. We will definitely be staying here again if the opportunity arises. Couldn’t be happier with this trip and stay! Plus, we got engaged here

Fabulous Varenna Property!!!

Maria, the owner, communicated so well after we chose Annina’s House in the heart of Varenna. She & her husband met us at the train station to drive us to a nearby piazza where we walked down to the apartment. Inside was just like the photos, clean & perfectly appointed. We lacked for nothing. Linens were excellent. We could walk everywhere around the small, beautiful town and it’s easy access to the ferry dock to visit other lakeside towns. Our favorite spot was the small patio where we would sit and stare down the passageway to the lake and surrounding mountains. We strongly recommend this property. Maria is an outstanding owner and we loved our experience.

The location is excellent, right in the pedestrian area and central to everything. Communication with Maria was perfect. The only problem was that the place has a musty smell and is a little dark. It is on the bottom floor so it would probably stay cool in hot weather, which is an advantage.

Small and perfectly lovely

Met at the train station by the lovely Maria and Pietro. Check in was smooth and they pointed out all the areas we may need for our stay en route to the house. It’s a small but perfectly situated home on a lovely cobbled street with a balcony overlooking the lake and mountain where we enjoyed having morning coffee and even choosing to eat a couple of meals there too. It is a busy thoroughfare, everyone wanting to take photos from the top or bottom as it is so beautiful. The home had everything we needed and whilst small was perfectly adequate for our stay. The bathroom was modern and clean. We did have to empty the chest of drawers so we could put our clothes away, and I hung my dresses on a small rack. We would definitely choose to stay there again and especially loved being so close to a couple of restaurants that we particularly enjoyed going to and also not very far away from the gelato shop. Store selling essentials was also close by. A beautiful home that we would thoroughly recommend.

The entire experience was magical! I would recommend this apartment to everyone. It was centrally located to everything- restaurants, shops, ferry and train station. We loved the design and decor!! Soooo Italian. Maria was charming, sweet and so accommodating. We hope to return in the future.

Snug.

Great hosts, friendly neighbors. Wonderful shower and bed. Lovely little porch to sit and watch the lake and the boats. Convenient to a market, cleaners, pharmacy and several restaurants. The only negative was the size of the unit. Ok for one person or two small people.
