The hotel is a bit dated but the room was clean and the essentials worked. Complimentary coffee and tea were a nice touch, and the staff were an absolute delight—very friendly and helpful. The room was quiet despite being next to a pub; none of the pub noise carried inside, though you can occasionally hear a train whistle from the nearby tracks, and overall the stay was pleasant enough that I would happily return to this establishment.

Staff was courteous. The room was in good condition. Parking is not included as there is no parking near the premises. The pricing is a little higher than expected for the this caliber of hotel.
Everything was very good except for the comfort level if the bed and bedding. The bed gave me a backache and the pillow cover and sheets were a bit rough. Otherwise great.
Very unfortunate place. While I can certainly appreciate older hotels come with character, this hotel was very disappointing. Staff was friendly and check-in was easy. Unfortunately the room was dirty- hair in the bathroom and on the pillow. The bathroom fan hasn’t been cleaned in ages clearly, and the edges don’t get dusted. To top it off, I heard a staff member in the restaurant telling another worker about a time that someone overdosed in one of the rooms and the server had to go do CPR on them, and they weren’t sure if the person was revived or not. I immediately called my friend who was staying elsewhere and stayed with him. Won’t be going back here & neither will anyone I know. Such a bummer.
Room was nice, hard to find the hotel at first, parking is an extra charge but wasnt stated on expedia. Parking is across street in an open paid parking lot. Lot of outside noise from room
Lovely hotel. Had a huge room, with a lovely view of the Fraser River. It's close and convenient for a ton of bars and restaurants and next door to the sky train too.
I have to give a shout out to Genesis at the front desk.
He was extremely welcoming and friendly I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at The Met again on my next trip to New Westminster BC!
