Friendly front desk staff. Clean & fresh room. Baseboard heaters were enclosed within wood boxes that inhibited them from working, and the a/c was permanently fixed in the window, so our room was cold. Room was adjacent SkyTrain station, which was noisy until after midnight. For an older building, it was okay, we got sleep, which is what we needed.

Way sketchier than I thought. The pub next door and the Skytrain station next door was loud, there was black mould in the shower, it was dingy and not a great spot. We were only there for one night, but that was plenty enough. One of those places you need a shower after you stay.

The Met Hotel is a great option for budget travelers to the Greater Vancouver area. The staff is very friendly and the facility is secured late at night with passcode entry. There is a convenience store a few steps away. The River Market is also nearby. The maids are fantastic. Parking is available across the street or by the property for a reasonable cost. The bedding was very clean. There is a drinking water dispenser in the common area to fill your water bottles. If you are a light sleeper, this may not be for you. The noise from the neighboring train runs late into the night, and begins early in the morning. However, black-out blinds are in the rooms to block the light from the station. Overall, I would recommend staying at this hotel.
