The room is very basic & old. Pictures on the wall in the room were crooked & the bed was very old. There’s a single sink with no counter in the bathroom. It does have a refrigerator. The cable didn’t work & the remote you had to mash to get the buttons to work. I finally ask the front desk to fix the cable after I realized the cable TV was not working & it never got fixed even though they tried. I just didn’t pursue it any further since we were leaving the next morning. I reserved this hotel for the inexpensive price. Cost goes up the closer one gets to Vancouver. The best thing about this hotel is the location. It’s right next to the train station & the River Walk is across the street. You’ll definitely want to take the train into Vancouver as the traffic is similar to driving in the burrows of New York. It’s really bad!

Customer service is great, enjoyed my stay. Must come back

I was in town for a few days for a conference, which turned out to be half a block from the Met so the location was excellent. The room was comfortable and the staff couldn't have been nicer. If I'm ever back in the area I would definitely stay there again.

We were there on a family trip. We are not familiar with the city, so when we looked for accommodations in Vancouver they showed us The Met Hotel, and we were pleased with the reviews. The hotel is in Westminster a city in itself, not in Vancouver. The Met Hotel is a hotel with great staff. They have a restaurant next door, they give you a discount, and there are other restaurants nearby, there is public transportation next to it. They have many tv channels, bed and body works toiletries. The boardwalk is a block away, so you can have a nice stroll. Family tip: Tim Horton is BC Mc Donald's. The only bad thing the hotel does not have its own parking lot.

The hotel was very close to a number of pubs and a couple of restaurants. There were lots more restaurants and pubs up the hill on 6th Street (.9k walk).

The room was ok. Clean for the most part with nice pellows. For the price is was a good deal

The hotel is right beside an entrance to the train. Very convenient to downtown. We loved the high ceilings and spaciousness of the room. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our only difficulty was parking upon arrival ... there was a lot that we could use after check-in ... but it was hard to park on the street upon first arrival.

The hotel is quaint, everything was clean, it was pretty much everything it said it would be. The was however a slight water pressure and temperature issue, like there was very little pressure and the temperature was tough to regulate. All in all we would absolutely stay there again.

it was exactly what we needed. friendly staff and very comfortable.

It's a great alternative to the chains....without upscaling your budget. If possible, I'd recommend asking for a room away from the SkyTrain....not noisy, but present and frequent. I'd stay here again

Not bad. it is not high price. Clean and convenient.

If you are looking for a safe, clean, affordable place to stay that has great access to Vancouver this is a nice place to stay. It is by no means in the heart of Vancouver but is much nicer and more spacious than staying in a hostel. Has thin walls but I stayed 5 days and only one night it was a problem. Parking is a little tricky if you plan to leave a car outside during the day but it is free from 6pm to 8am on the street. There are ample places to eat and get coffee nearby. Good deal over all for a budget traveler.

The Staff is accomodating. They clean the rooms everyday.

We booked based on cost and location to Burnaby Winter Club where my son was participating on a few hockey clinics. Location was excellent for all the things we ended up doing while there. There is a SkyTrain(elevated train) station basically in the hotel which made it very easy to access public transit. The hotel does not have it's own parking lot but there is a large public parking facility directly across the street. From our window overlooking the street we could see the car if we parked in one of several spots. The view overlooked the main street and the river beyond, the only problem is that the windows did not open so the air got a little stale. There is no pool or amenities outside of the room other than a small lobby area on each floor, but we had so many things planned that it didn't matter too much. Front desk personnel were all very helpful and came through with the few requests we did have(the biggest being the need for upgrading to a room with a refrigerator). The missus is fairly sensitive to the seemingly always over-chemicaled sheets found in hotels these days, however this was pleasantly not the case. The linens were clean but didn't have that industrial odor/feel to them. A very nice experience overall and would recommend to anyone going to Vancouver area. Especially if you plan on getting married since there are at least 6 stores on Columbia Ave alone that specialize in wedding dresses! You can also walk to several pubs, a greek restaurant, Boston Pizza, or the newly opened market at the water that has several restaurants and crafts and a gym.

We were looking for a place in Vancouver to stay that was both inexpensive and close to public transit. This was a great find! Our room had plenty of space, the staff were friendly, and the hotel is just steps away from a train station. We found it very easy to travel into the city, and come back in the evening to a comfortable room. Train noise was not an issue (even though our room faced the tracks), but we found that the area does get noisy on the weekend. There are quite a few restaurants within easy walking distance. Because of the hotel's small size there is not laundry on-site, so we weren't able to get an extra towel and washcloth from the front desk staff.

This hotel is a little hard to spot initially, but it is nice. The staff was very friendly. The room itself was basic, but clean and nice. The building is old so the floors are not exactly level but it did not feel rickety. Location is nice as long as you aren't looking for a lot in the immediate vicinity. It is literally around the corner from the skytrain so it makes a good spot to use as a base. There are several places to eat within easy walking distance. Recommended for the traveler that doesn't need a lot, but appreciates what they have.

This is a great building built in the 1800's fully refurbished inside. Kind of strange part of town but easy to get around. Had to pay for parking in the pay lot across the street 1/2 block. Night club downstairs got kind of loud in the court yard below our room. Not bad for the price and a really nice mattress. Wish I had brought my dogs as they are allowed here and its a great area for dog walking.

Thank you for taking the time to review the Met Hotel. I do appologiise about the cable and will enquire why we were not able to fix this problem. This does not sound to me like we met or exceeded your expectations which is not how we want to be recieved. I again do appologise for any issues during your stay and wish to let you know that we will address all these concerns. Regards,
