This was the most horrible experience ever. My husband and i stayed here for my birthday when we arrived the receptionist was so rude then we arrived at our lodge and the spa was not working then went to have a shower and there was no hot water and it was the middle of winter too so i was having cold showers. We contacted the office and they sent someone out to fix it but it was more then half way through our stay unfortunately. Then they gave us a complimentary voucher to use midweek for 2 nights. No expiry date was on it as u can see in the photo attached. We called 1 and a half year later and we are being told it expired after a year and getting hung up on and spoken to very rudely. We are so upset and angry. She is the manager and shes very rude and inconsiderate. Ive tried ringing 10 times today to get whats owed to us and shes stated in one phone call "i can do whatever i want " then hung up. I am SHOCKED this is unacceptable behaviour and very unprofessional.. dont stay here.

We had our one year wedding anniversary here, and stayed in “Art Gallery” house.. WOW, the views are truly amazing.. the house was perfect, large, clean, and away from everything. We felt so relaxed here.. perfect describe our stay. Cheers

Fabulous place to getaway from the city, under 3 hours drive from Sydney. Great restaurant, bushwalking and horse riding. Tip: bring your own breakfast and supplies as its a long drive to stock up If its available get a cabin with spa on the deck

This ‘resort’ has great facilities without feeling like your classic resort. Lodges are all different and many have spas on the deck. Most lodges have fabulous views. Kangaroos, wallabies and goannas are everywhere. It’s great to have access to the facilities like the pool, tennis court, ping pong as well as walking tracks and the swimming lagoon. We also caught yabbies in one of the dams. No shops nearby so stock up before you go there. We didn’t try the bistro as we bought all our food with us. Highly recommended.

Amazing place to experience Australia wildlife. Saw kangaroos, all kinds of birds right at our door. Nice hot tub. Very nice accommodations. Great hiking trails and activities. Highly recommend but remember to bring food.

I was part of a group of three couples and two singles. We all not only had a bedroom each with a large ensuite but we also had our on TV's and bar fridge with coffee and tea making facilities. The house called the Jindalee was perfect for us. It also had a fire, open lounge, living and kitchen area. We had views down into Maitland, a pool table on the balcony and a spa. It was clean and had everything we needed. What more could you want? Breakfast...well that was included as well

We stayed in 'Gum Tree Heaven'...a 4 bedroom (all with ensuites) house, with 'family home' overtones...just perfect, wood fire ready to go, BBQ, 4-5 person hot spa, with views to Newcastle (about 50 kms away)...same view as the back deck and very comfy lounge room. Good TV reception so you won't miss your fav game (no Foxtel)...I had an Optus mobile that hit 23.11Mbps/14.62Mbps...great for staying 'normal' in the middle of nowhere.... The Resort has a salt water concrete pool, pool room, table tennis, volley ball and tennis courts...all in great clean condition and ready to use....a dam for yabbying...there are some great/fantastic walks, some within walking distance others a short drive...soft and easy to not quite challenging, but reasonably strenuous....very pretty and diverse. A largish dam, a short drive away for canoes and swimming/fishing (?) etc...a short walking track around the dam, BBQ area and plenty of room to kick a ball, fly a kite etc. There is a Bistro/Restaurant, but we didn't get to go there, we were happy to BBQ on the back deck. Wild life abounds, even at the house, we didn't see Koalas, but rumour is they are around....plenty of wallabys and bird life. All in all a great retreat for a family getaway or reunion or maybe just a naughty weekend away....we will definitely be going back...we were 8 adults who met on a cruise ship.

we stayed in a private rental that was fantastic. They area is a spot to visit, we had been told that the road had been improved and it was a nice drive up to the area. Abundant 4x4 trails , lots of walking tracks and the lagoon was inviting. Heaps of wildlife and the rain forest walk was loved by my lovely wife ( too steep for me , bad back and bad knees!! still did it ) We never go back to were we have been but we are thinking of returning

Great place, lots of Eastern Bearded Dragons and Robust Velvet Geckos. A few black snakes, brown snake and some goannas and frogs. No yabbys in the yabby dam though. Plenty of nice Roos and Wallabys. Great Spas. Great place except a bit too expensive

For adventure seekers, this was in the middle of nowhere in Vacy. You and your kids can spot many Kangaroos. However, Take enough food items with you for your stay. The shops are about 40KMs away.Kids enjoed a lot and comfortable cabins and rooms. However, getting there is via a narrow windy road, so be prepared with a driver who can handle it. Reach there in daylight so you can handle the windy and steep curves.
