This stay was the absolute best my partner and I have had ever had in Bali. The service was AMAZING. The staff were friendly and attentive, and went above and beyond - no request we had was too much. The first two rooms we were shown were dirty,tired and shabby. The third was ok….ish. The wonderful operations manager was very kind and upgraded us to a suite which was a lot bigger brighter and cleaner but still extremely tired and not worth the money. The pool area and bar were stunning though.

We loved the stay. The staff are all very nice and helpful. The only thing is sometimes they all try to help whenever they see us standing there or trying to get the bill so we had to repeat our room number to multiple staff every time whenever someone tries to help, as the first question is always what’s your room number. I don’t mind but sometimes I have to repeat three times. Everyone is super nice though.

One of the best resorts I have ever stayed in. Top notch quality facilities, courteous staff, excellent buffet breakfast with extensive variety, everything we tried was excellent. Very clean pool, not crowded at all (we stayed in September), excellent view of the forest. -25 mins from main Ubud markets and monkey forest, which is not bad if you want to stay away from noise and crowds.

The hotel rooms are tired and probably 3 star standard. The humidity makes the rooms smell damp and aircon also blows damp smelling air into the room. The cleanliness was good in places but attention to detail on balcony glass, around the pool under the chairs and in the room was lacking. Staff are polite and friendly but this doesn’t make up for the slow service. Breakfast good selection of food and the food quality is good. Staff at the reception and bar cannot be more helpful. Overall disappointing.

We had a true 5 star experience at the Westin. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and accommadating. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We had breakfast included in our stay and also had lunch everyday at the pool and alll of the food was very fresh and tasty.

The Westin Ubud is a visually stunning property with some standout features. The infinity pool is absolutely beautiful, and the buffet breakfast was a true feast—plentiful, fresh, and satisfying. The shuttle service into town was also a convenient and much-appreciated option. The room and restaurant staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely excellent throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the experience was let down by several service-related issues that are difficult to overlook, especially for a hotel that presents itself as a premium destination. The check-in process was particularly disappointing. While other guests were given guided tours of the hotel, we were simply told to have a seat with no further information. The staff member who checked us in offered no explanation of the hotel’s amenities or services, leaving us to discover things gradually over the next few days. We reported a couple of room issues—a balcony door that wouldn’t lock and a large mat that posed a trip hazard—but nothing was done for three days. Additionally, we could clearly hear children playing and walking in the rooms above us, which disrupted the peaceful environment we were hoping for. To make matters worse, during our first dinner we were approached—right at the table and in front of other guests—about our check-in concerns. This was uncomfortable and felt quite inappropriate.
