This was the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. I came on a solo trip and never felt alone. Extremely accommodating and always there if you need anything. They even remembered my by name. Room was always kept stocked and clean. Pool was always clean. Zero sight of bugs. I loved the area it was in because it’s was right around the corner from the busy area but not on a busy street. There is a great restaurant in the resort but if you don’t want to eat there is food within walking distance. This report was a 10/10 and I will definitely be back!!!

Peaceful and relaxing after Ubud

loved the hotel, an area of tranquility compared to the hustle and bustle of Ubud. Travelling to Ubud allowed a glimpse of the real Bali, although it seems to be geared for the tourists now.

The experience at Purana was incredible. You feel like you are walking into a rainforest paradise as you are walking to your room. We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa and it was definitely worth it. We felt like royalty for a whole week, especially how the staff took great care of us. Response time for any request was very quick. The only reason I did not give 5 stars for cleanliness is that the outdoor eating area will obviously get a little dirty but that is to be expected. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Amazing boutique hotel! Loved our stay here. Shuttle into town was a bonus but it’s easily walkable to town in 15 min. So peaceful. Staff are wonderful and helpful. Felt like home fright away. Looking for a driver ask the staff for ketut! He drove us around all week to see the temples and waterfalls highly recommend him. Thanks Purana for a great week.

Terrific property for your complete relax. I was traveling to Bali by myself and it was the best place to start my vacation with complete relax in one of their villas. Beautiful bedroom and pool, very nice breakfast, great people. I totally recommend!

My husband and I booked Purana's private villa for two nights. Special thanks to Tude (not sure if spelt correctly) for giving us a tour of the room and its amenities upon our arrival, providing us with a complimentary feet massage, and for attending to our many queries on our first day patiently. Thank you Putri and Riya for bringing over the birthday meal with lit candles on my husband's birthday. They came over personally from outdoors to our room though it was raining heavily that day. We really appreciate the warm and friendly hospitality experienced here. From the daily warm and sincere smiles, and attentive service, to the thoughtful layout of the place and its facilities, we highly recommend this accommodation for other travellers in Ubud. This place is about 1hr 15 minutes' car ride from the airport. Potential con: As this is an outdoor villa, there is the inevitable couple of house lizards and mosquitoes. There is insect repellant provided in the villa however.

Home away from home

I really don’t know where to begin. Everything about this place was GREAT! From the welcoming to the very end. When we first got there Agustawan was very polite and kind. The service was excellent and the breakfast everyday at the Villa was delicious. The staff went above and beyond for my wife and I. They shuttled us when needed, even though it wasn’t apart of their regular schedule. They even booked a driver to take us to the Safari and even to our next resort. I really want to thank the staff there for making our stay incredibly pleasant. To name a few Arya, Agustawan, Putri and Tude. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. SUKSMA!

Amazing staff but poor amenities

While I’d love to give this hotel a 10, I simply can’t. The staff was unbelievable and beautiful but where the resort falls down is the pool. We had a 2 bedroom villa and the pool was green on the 2nd day of our 3 day stay. We called them as soon as we saw the pool was green but they didn’t seem to do much. We paid a lot of money to not be able to use the pool and we were quite upset. In fact, on the day we were to check out, we opted to leave ASAP because we couldn’t enjoy the pool at our private villa. We told the staff a few times and expected to be compensated but they offered us nothing. Kinda disappointing to say the least.

Very friendly staff and well kept property. A bit set back from the main area of Ubud but they provide a shuttle. Rooms are large and clean. Breakfast is made to order daily and delivered to your room. Only negative was WiFi wasn’t great.
