We had a good time. The stairs were a little steep, but that is to be expected in an older house sometimes. The main floor bathroom was located through the bedroom, that was a drawback. (I may have over looked/missed that in the description.) Overall, it was a decent place for the weekend.

Overall great place! Super cool home with nice amenities. Could use some updated/more pots and pans. Otherwise, great location just far enough away from the busyness of main street but close enough to walk to the pier and Castle Danger

Return to Breakwater
Property a bit rundown with minimal repairs done since our last visit. . But this was our third year coming here. Family loves the space, walk ability to Two Harbors and the pier. Easy shot up to things to do up the Shore. Problems with the AC when we first got up there (usually not an issue but hit 80 that day and couldn’t cool the house). Management was great with responding and getting things arranged to be fixed.

The stairs were extremely steep for two people with injured backs and two children 3 and under. The ac didn’t work which wasn’t mentioned. The windows if they opened had to be held open with a piece of wood which is fine except most of the screens have holes in them. And the furniture was extremely uncomfortable. Beds and couches The dishwasher ran but the dishes were dirtier when it was finished somehow. I’m not normally this person but the amount of money that we spent for this stay I am just baffled and do not want anyone else to go in blind like we did. The pics and description do not show what you are getting in this case

Stayed last summer. Loved the spaciousness and location. Still the same issues as last summer. Multiple repairs still not addressed. Looks like it’s up for sale. No plans for a repeat here next year.

Two Harbors Adventure
We wanted a prime location as we made our adventure of hiking along the North Shore. The location was great. For a house 120 years old, it had character and provided what was needed. The house provided plenty of space and each had their own room. We were within walking distance of the pier, beach, and restaurants & the iconic Castle Danger brewery. Bonus was music in the park.
We had a very nice time on our 3 day adventure.

Time in Two Harbors
Location was great. Having 6 bedrooms was great. Family of nine were able to walk around Two Harbors for restaurants and shopping with ease. Easy shot to head further up the shore for hiking and quiet time along Burlington beach hunting for agates. The place is still being renovated and needs a LOT of work. Didn’t expect that and how much still needed to be done. Cracked windows, ill fitted storm door that ripped into carpet in the porch, no decent outside space with seating, only seating for 6 in the dining area. Should probably had more work done before renting. But our kids and grandkids really liked having the space. Would consider it again if more has been completed.

Long weekend away
Just wanted to get away for the weekend with our family and we enjoy the beauty of the North Shore. The home is definitely older but the spaces were well used. It was very nice to have had a large garage to park our vehicles in as it was Heritage Days in Two Harbors and it would have been hard to park if there had not been a garage.

Outside and inside looks
The outside needs A lot of updating so it doesn’t look so run down. The work inside was just half done(paint tape and residue left on windows)
Front storm door needs fixed and moved up so it actually opens.
Really appreciated the toiletry items left in shower, beds and pillows were very comfortable!
Would stay here again

Grand Old House
My family spent 3 nights in the house. It was very clean and spacious. You can tell the house went through a reno and money was spent in the right places. The bedrooms and living room were very comfortable. There was enough seating and a bed for everyone. The beds were extremely comfortable.
Had a little trouble with the lock and the air conditioning, but once we figured it out, all went well.
Thanks for the stay.
