Nice clean room, check in was less than welcoming. Key card did not work on doors near room, had to use front entrance. Desk clerk seemed unconcerned. Desk clerk at checkout was extremely helpful and overall this is a good, clean, safe location.
I am done with Comfort Inns. We have stayed at many over the years, and they have gone steadily down hill. This one was no exception. The rooms needed updating, especially painting, and the breakfast was poor. At least the room seemed clean.
The hotel was wonderful. We had driven nine hours and needed some rest. The front desk lady was welcoming and nice. Our room was comfy and beds were great. Honestly, Comfort Inn was a better experience than a Hilton we had paid twice as much for the week before!
Had to travel to Tupelo late one night and was looking for a hotel at 2AM. Found Comfort Inn on my GPS and called and they had only 1 room left. Got there and spoke with Greta at the front desk. She was very nice and helpful and got me in the room quickly. The room was adequate for my stay. I was here for only a few hours and didn't really look around the hotel much. Upon check out Greta was still working the front desk and got me checked out quickly. I'd stay here in the future if I had a need to be back in the area.
Stayed here over night for a girls get away. It was close to everything and clean. The beds were comfy and the staff was very nice. We enjoyed the pool and it was fairly well maintained, felt clean enough, could have used a quick skimming, but it could have just been late in the day and leaves had blown in. They did have towels out by the pool, however they are somewhat small, but you are allowed to use several in needed. Breakfast was good, and the staff was maintaining it well.(morning staff of June 14,17), but didn't get their names. Overall would stay there again and recommend.
We usually stay with Choice Hotels because they're clean and get the job done (sleep, breakfast and hit the road). The beds are usually very comfortable. This hotel was no exception to that rule. The staff at this hotel was pleasant. The community spaces pretty clean. Acceptable.
The room was average and nothing to brag about. I felt the cost was high but learned there was a big furniture show going on. I don't know whether I paid more (for not going to the show) or less. The fact the clerk asked my purpose for being there raised my suspicions. Tupelo navigation has always confused me. We had a difficult time finding ways to get to hotels. We could see them in the distance but had problems finding ways to reach them. Traffic was very busy making it difficult to be in the correct lane to make turns. I should have known something was going on when the Holiday Inn Suites was booked. The hotel next door (Candlewood Suites) required an extra deposit refundable in 7 days (unacceptable just on principles). After we booked Comfort Inn, when we went to dinner we saw several others we would have preferred.
We were very pleased with our stay at the Comfort Inn, Tupelo. We were greeted with a warm welcome from all of the staff at the front desk. Check in and check out were fast and efficient. The common areas inside and out were clean and well-maintained. Our room was neatly organized, comfortable, and clean. The bed was comfortable, as well. Despite being sold out due to the Furniture Market and concert goers, it was relatively quiet during the night and early morning while we were there. A manager's reception was offered in the evening with beverages and snacks. A breakfast was included and looked to be typical of the "breakfast included" at many chain hotels, but we didn't eat on this trip. I might not have booked here except that many other hotels were sold out. I'm glad that we did and we would definitely stay again. No need to spend double when you can get good quality and a fair price. Thanks Comfort Inn and staff.
When making this reservation by phone, the person we talked with was very nice and friendly. When arriving, the young lady at the desk was also very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and bed was very comfortable, Breakfast was very good and plenty of tables to eat on.
The thing that strikes you as you walk into the cozy lobby is the friendly welcome and a open ice cart stocked with free beer! Okay, otherwise it may be your typical popular priced hotel with slightly worn hall carpet, but the details are pretty amazing. Newspapers, yes; free beer, yes, extra toiletries, yes; comfortable beds, yes; huge channel selection on TV, yes; free breakfast of bacon, grits, eggs, biscuits, juice, yogurt, coffee... YES! I've stayed in many hotels that are much pricier and no where near as nice. They need to give the morning and night clerks a promotion. Great job everyone.
