O’tulum is in an amazing location ( right on the beach!) and has a great staff and a beautiful relaxing environment. Easy to get around the area on bikes ( hotel has them free to rent) and very close to a cenote where you can snorkel or scuba. Sunsets from the beach/ pool area can’t be beat. Great for a romantic getaway Will definitely be coming back!

Gorgeous spot and quiet ... EXACTLY what we needed in terms of R&R.

Quiet hotel, not overcrowded mega hotel with a ton of kids running around. If you want adult only, peaceful time by the beach, this is the spot! Clean rooms and friendly and helpful staff. Swim up room is awesome! Not huge pool but shared with 3 rooms but we were never out there at same time so was pretty private and felt like your personal pool. You just step out to the back over at the restaurant and you’re on the beach.

O’Tulum was nice and the views were amazing! The food was okay! Drinks were okay too! I think a less basic food menu would do this place great! Nonetheless, the staff was sweet and extremely atentive! My bf and I are a young couple and for ya it was just WAY TOO QUIET and there wasn’t much to do at the hotel. The hotel would be great for people seeking absolutely tranquility! I did enjoy doing some yoga by the pool facing the ocean, it was magical! I didn’t like the excessive amount of ants in our room! I didn’t complain about it though because I’ve seen it many times in the Caribbean and I understand they’re very common, sometimes! Overall, I don’t this we’d revisit not because it was nice but because we are into a little more fun and not so much the silence lol

Small 12 room hotel. Very friendly staff. Good food. Beach is too rocky but view is excellent. Short 2 minute bike ride from a cenote.

I just got back this week and I have to say what a fabulous place to stay! It's a small, quiet boutique hotel and was a great choice for me to enjoy a relaxing few days alone. I travelled down by myself and felt completely safe. The staff was amazing! They were attentive, but not at all overbearing, and they made me feel like a part of a family. The rooms are clean, comfortable and even the rooms with only a partial view (which was my room) had a lovely view. The next time I come back down alone, I'm absolutely staying here again.

Really enjoyed the hotel and the experience. It is off-the-beaten path and takes about 20-30 minutes to get to the hotel zone but the plus side is a quiet, relaxing oasis away from the tourists on the strip. I highly recommend having a car for trips into town.

Our stay at O’Tulum was magnificent. A cute boutique hotel just on the water, has great views, amazing staff and yummy food and drinks. Loved our stay and wish we could go back.

The hotel was fabulous. There are only 12 rooms total, and each has some sort of water on the balcony, or it's connected to the pool. The rooms are modern and sleek, and our room (room 2!) had a brand new air conditioner and a gorgeous set-up, with a wood-floored shower and a walk-out to a private pool. The entire staff was exceptional. Breakfast is far from continental, and you order off a menu where everything is fresh and flavorful and delicious. The small touches of complimentary beach bags and yoga mats upstairs really made the place feel lush. There is so much water everywhere in the hotel flowing and moving, and the way the building ties into the ocean is marvelous. The only thing-- be careful of how you get there. It is a few kilometers down a long unpaved dirt road, and we had a Jeep and were VERY glad we did. They do have complimentary bicycles for short trips though-- go see the cenote right down the street! (Exit off the highway is hard to see.)

I had an amazing experience at o'tulum! staff was great, super friendly and efficient, all rooms have a hot tub and a pool just outside the door, and a very comfy bed. The hotel has a beautiful architecture! and water all around which makes it all very peaceful and soothing. the beach is a little rocky but you can easily enter wearing flip flops and the water temperature is spot on. food was very good. I would love to come back! go for it!

This hotel is tucked away from the busier tourist parts of Tulum but it is clean, the staff is friendly, every room has an amazing view. Its so peaceful and perfect for a nice relaxing stay. The restaurant on site also serves delicious food.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The amazing staff was amazing and took care of all of our requests. We mostly ate at the hotel and really enjoyed the food. It was easy to feel like we were the only 2 people in the world. Very quiet and peaceful. We would definitely return to this hotel in the future.

My wife and I were looking to avoid the crowded HWY 15 beach strip outside Tulum so we looked for a spot slightly North of Tulum. The perfect spot was found on the stretch of beach known as Tulsayab. On that perfectly Mexican stretch we found the brand spanking new the 12 room boutique hotel O'Tulum. Run more like a villa than a hotel, O'Tulum is staffed by an energetic gang of young people who are there to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The staff is headed by Carlos, who was waiting for us at 11:45 PM the evening we arrived late for our reservation. I know we we had chosen the right place because after Carlos showed us to our room, he returned moments later with three chilled cerveza's and two shots a top shelf tequila! The rest of the staff, Lorenia, Georgy, Felix, Enrique, morning Chef George and lunch and evening chef's Julio and Emmanuel are more like family than hotel employees. I can honestly say that our best dinner meal was with Chef Julio and Emmanuel. I give this compliment considering that we dined down the beach at the highly rated Hotel Jashita and at Cielo Maya. From a home base perspective, O'Tulum cannot be beat...you can easily reach Coba for the best Mayan ruin excursion in under one hour. If cenote diving is your thing, the ocean fed manatee cenotes is literally a 10 min bike ride away! You could skip the HWY 15 beach clubs and stay at O"Tulum all day but if you are in to lunch excursions the HWY 15 strip is 20 min away. We loved it!

First time staying in Tulum and it was a great experience. The O Tulum staff was so kind and amazing. The hotel is brand new, it opened about 3 weeks ago they said. Overall I had an awesome time there. Highly recommended!
