We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at Agaming. We love it for summer golf and now we've discovered its winter beauty. Mike the manager had everything ready and rescued us when we arrived in the dark and took the wrong road. The walks and driveways were cleared of snow each morning. The condo was comfortable and perfectly equipped--and bonus gorgeous view of Torch Lake. An amazing value in our favorite area of Northern Michigan. Thanks!
We checked in late and there was no one at the office. Needed to call 800 number to get key. Room was dingy and very dated. Smelled like old garbage. Nice quiet location.
We stayed at the 4 bedroom, 4 bath Cedar Hollow model over the July 4 weekend. Had a great time: well-kept facility, great location, beautiful view. We hunted for golf balls at dusk, played in the bouncy-house in the yard next to the condo, and made meals on the cheap with the family. This would be a great option for a winter ski trip, golf vacation, or place for a family to stay. We'll be back there next year.
This is our 2nd July 4th holiday staying at A-Ga-Ming. This time we stayed at the 3 bedroom, 2 bath Vista townhouse. The layout is similar to the Cedar Hollow. We had lots of room for the kids (2 yr old twins + 2 5 year olds), grandpa, and two sets of parents. The backyard of the condo was great for the kids to play in, the kitchen & washer/dryer were very handy. We'll be back next year. The only things we didn't like were a noisy dishwasher and yellowjackets nearby. The kids were able to play safely, but we had to find & squash a few nests first.
Although I booked a one-bedroom suite with a view of the Torch Lake, upon arrival I was informed that my reservation was moved to a three-bedroom, two-bathroom condo with a "view" of the golf course. The condo was part of a duplex, had a two-car garage with no garage-door opener, propane grill outside on the deck, a porch, a full unfinished basement, washer and dryer, full kitchen just a little short on supplies, three queen-sized beds and three twin beds, a non-functioning gas fireplace, two small flat-screen TV's with cable, no DVD or VHS player, no phone, no Internet (wireless or otherwise), no curtains or blinds in the main living room, one bathroom with shower only and one with a shower and small tub with two jets. Because this condo was in the middle of a golf course, golfers walked by the curtainless windows all day long searching for wayward golf balls. The automatic ice-maker in the refrigerator was nice, as was the dishwasher. I couldn't find the switch to turn on the garbage disposal. Someone came by every day to replace the linens and take out the trash, but not make the bed. For the few days I was there, we had no neighbors, just the golfers walking by and the sound of golf carts driving by early in the morning. The upgrade from what I reserved was fantastic; I'd consider going back. The location is a good 25 miles from Traverse City, but the drive isn't too bad.
We stayed at the 4 bedroom, 4 bath Cedar Hollow model over the July 4 weekend. In the past, we stayed nearby with family; with 4 kids, we wanted some space & air conditioning. It was awesome! We had lots of room for my 15 month old twins to walk/crawl, space for the two four-year-olds to play inside & out, and enough bedrooms for everyone to have some privacy (there were two families and an 82 year old grandpa in our group). This would be a great option for a winter ski trip, golf vacation, or place for a family to stay. We'll be back there next year.
Very nice, clean and spacious condo. We were visiting family in the area for the 4th July weekend, and actually booked a one bedroom, but received a two-bedroom on checking in. Nice golf courses, but ideal for families or non-golfers, such as ourselves.
