If I could give this place minus one I would. Absolutely the worst hotel place I've been to In the last year-and-a-half. I've been traveling for business purposes stayed at the Travelodge no more than an hour and a half had my girlfriend visit while I was away on business she didn't know was a smoke-free room had a cigarette next thing I know I'm trying to sign out in the morning ladies charged me $200 plus tax says there's no cigarettes allowed. I explained my situation to her she was unwilling to budge .I will never stay here again
Had been travelling all day, and was enjoying the sweet finale of the nightmare that is Toronto traffic -- NOT!! Was stressed out, tired, hungry and wanted to stop and recharge. After initially stopping at a nearby Howard Johnson's we never even ended going in because of trip advisor reviews ripping it a new one ( and it's joyful location and initial impression). Anyway, after looking for something online that I didn't have to take a mortgage out on or that wasn't full I came up grumpier and even more in need of somewhere to rest. This was a random GPS recommendation as something close by. It turned into an awesome end to our night after a long, hectic day. I've read some other reviews and some of them sound like another hotel. It seemed fully renovated and was a way better value at $150 than the Days Inn we had stayed at a few nights prior in Mississauga for the same price. We were starving so were happy to have a pub/bar attached to the side ( food was nothing fancy, but filled the void ) After killing our hunger, we went for a swim and a hot tub, which helped us all unwind even more (the showers didn't work at the pool). It seemed like it was on a pretty busy road and traffic noise is audible but not horrible. All this and breakfast for 3 the next morning. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again
The staff at the Travelodge East Toronto are really horrible. The people at front desk are very nice Their room service Manager Charles Xavier verbally abusive. I asked to speak to the Manger they refused to contact the Manger. Ive Notice There are Escorts working out of that hotel and girls walking round half naked in the facilities. The room service was horrible no towels garbage wasn't empty i found condom wrappers in the one the drawers what kind of place is this too book a room. I suggest not to come back to Travelodge again. Location at 20 Milner Business CT, Scarborough On They need to hire new Staff at Travelodge and have better attitude better customer service.... Cleaner rooms,Better service
The stench in the room was most disturbing. Mixture of carpet cleaner and ashtray. Gross smell. Noisy air conditioner. Window did not open properly. Leaking faucet. Rusty sink drain. Mold in corners of shower. Stained chairs. Bubbling wallpaper in bathroom. Torn wall paper in room. Old furniture. Very dirty light switches. No light on night table. Light close to the bed was not working.
Its a horrible Hotel room service have entered into my room without consent. Their room service Manager Charles Xavier verbally abused me just for removing a chair to sit with my group in the lobby. When I have tried to look for Manager to complain two guys in the help desk misbehave with me and my wife and also accused my wife of misbehaving. Not only they refuse to call the manager they refuse to provide me with any contact information not even business card. They have not taken any response or action against my complain on their log book or their webpage. Staying in this hotel can ruin your trip stay away of it.
Purchase two queen double rooms that join together one room hats pasta on the bed pasta on the floor was missing a cover for the bed only had two bath towels per room to hand towels per room and only one face cloth for both rooms peanuts found on the floor ask for pool towels they need to go grab more and never showed up with them after swimming had to go ask again for them while trying to go to sleep at 1 in the morning people next to us pound it on the wall for 3 hours keeping my children up was not a very good experience at all
as soon as we get into the room we notice that towels are missing, iron is missing, the hair dryer and coffee machine don't work. The pillows and beds are not comfortable at all !! make sure to get ur own pillows if you are still planning on staying there. Bath tub filter doesn't work. What is worse than all of this is that customer service is not so good, every time we call the guest service desk to bring us our appliances that are missing they ask us to come down, and lastly when we wanted to check out the elevator was not working so we had to carry our bags five floors down ( why am I not surprised) and when i filed a complain to the supervisor she didnt careless to apologize for such an experience or do anything to satisfy us. Honestly you can find other hotel for the same price that are way more decent, Try comfort inn
The room we had was quite compact and the bed was not as comfortable as we are used to. It was quiet which suited us very much and all we wanted to do was rest so the location regarding other places was not an issue for us. The parking is difficult due in part to the location of a Bar adjacent to the hotel.but is free to patrons of the hotel. We travel through Toronto on Hwy 407 so it was a bit out of the way as it is close to Hwy 401.Other than that it is a good choice for a night in Toronto.
Travelodge is located close. Proximity to the City of Scarborough and the hotel has been recently renovated. All the furnishings and the bath room including the toilets are new. Housekeeping does a good job keeping the rooms clean. The hotel at least deserves a 3 star and I do not think the 3 star rating is justifiable considering the time and effort the management puts in keeping the hotel well maintained. There is a small bar and a deli attached to the hotel and the prices are very reasonable. Breakfast is provided at the hotel. Most of the rooms are equipped with mini fridge and microwave for your convenience. There is a seasonal outside swimming pool and it is open until 10:00pm. Check-in time is At 3:00 pm, however the hotel will accommodate early check-in after 1:00 pm as long as they have rooms are available (once the house keeping is done cleaning the room) There are several restaurants are located close vicinity to the hotel. The City of Toronto is about 18-20 miles from the hotel.
The price was $123 a night, which was reasonable. However, the room was less than adequate. Bathroom fan did not work, bathtub was chipped and painted over. Air conditioner was noisy and kept coming off, then back on through the night, so room was either too hot or too cold. Bed sagged in the middle, as a king mattress was placed on two single bed box springs. Cleaning staff were pleasant, but often came very late in the PM. An old hotel desperately in need of renovation.
