The stench in the room was most disturbing. Mixture of carpet cleaner and ashtray. Gross smell. Noisy air conditioner. Window did not open properly. Leaking faucet. Rusty sink drain. Mold in corners of shower. Stained chairs. Bubbling wallpaper in bathroom. Torn wall paper in room. Old furniture. Very dirty light switches. No light on night table. Light close to the bed was not working.
Its a horrible Hotel room service have entered into my room without consent. Their room service Manager Charles Xavier verbally abused me just for removing a chair to sit with my group in the lobby. When I have tried to look for Manager to complain two guys in the help desk misbehave with me and my wife and also accused my wife of misbehaving. Not only they refuse to call the manager they refuse to provide me with any contact information not even business card. They have not taken any response or action against my complain on their log book or their webpage. Staying in this hotel can ruin your trip stay away of it.
Purchase two queen double rooms that join together one room hats pasta on the bed pasta on the floor was missing a cover for the bed only had two bath towels per room to hand towels per room and only one face cloth for both rooms peanuts found on the floor ask for pool towels they need to go grab more and never showed up with them after swimming had to go ask again for them while trying to go to sleep at 1 in the morning people next to us pound it on the wall for 3 hours keeping my children up was not a very good experience at all
as soon as we get into the room we notice that towels are missing, iron is missing, the hair dryer and coffee machine don't work. The pillows and beds are not comfortable at all !! make sure to get ur own pillows if you are still planning on staying there. Bath tub filter doesn't work. What is worse than all of this is that customer service is not so good, every time we call the guest service desk to bring us our appliances that are missing they ask us to come down, and lastly when we wanted to check out the elevator was not working so we had to carry our bags five floors down ( why am I not surprised) and when i filed a complain to the supervisor she didnt careless to apologize for such an experience or do anything to satisfy us. Honestly you can find other hotel for the same price that are way more decent, Try comfort inn
The room we had was quite compact and the bed was not as comfortable as we are used to. It was quiet which suited us very much and all we wanted to do was rest so the location regarding other places was not an issue for us. The parking is difficult due in part to the location of a Bar adjacent to the hotel.but is free to patrons of the hotel. We travel through Toronto on Hwy 407 so it was a bit out of the way as it is close to Hwy 401.Other than that it is a good choice for a night in Toronto.
Travelodge is located close. Proximity to the City of Scarborough and the hotel has been recently renovated. All the furnishings and the bath room including the toilets are new. Housekeeping does a good job keeping the rooms clean. The hotel at least deserves a 3 star and I do not think the 3 star rating is justifiable considering the time and effort the management puts in keeping the hotel well maintained. There is a small bar and a deli attached to the hotel and the prices are very reasonable. Breakfast is provided at the hotel. Most of the rooms are equipped with mini fridge and microwave for your convenience. There is a seasonal outside swimming pool and it is open until 10:00pm. Check-in time is At 3:00 pm, however the hotel will accommodate early check-in after 1:00 pm as long as they have rooms are available (once the house keeping is done cleaning the room) There are several restaurants are located close vicinity to the hotel. The City of Toronto is about 18-20 miles from the hotel.
The price was $123 a night, which was reasonable. However, the room was less than adequate. Bathroom fan did not work, bathtub was chipped and painted over. Air conditioner was noisy and kept coming off, then back on through the night, so room was either too hot or too cold. Bed sagged in the middle, as a king mattress was placed on two single bed box springs. Cleaning staff were pleasant, but often came very late in the PM. An old hotel desperately in need of renovation.
We were passing through Scarborough and needed a cheap place for the night We booked through Hotwire and got a low price, almost half of the walk up rate and thought we did well. When we checked in the front desk was not very helpful and the elevator was filthy dirty the hallway not much better. I will admit the entrance to the room looked newly renovated, tile and the bathroom also looked to newly redone and clean. The rest of the room, not so much. It's hard to describe, but the carpet in the rest of the room did not look clean and it did not smell clean. (I admit it's hard to describe what clean smells like, but you know it when you smell it). The sheets were short, so we were sleeping partly on the mattress cover. The thing that did it for me, was at check out, I was ready to tell them my issues, and as I approached the front desk, the clerk snapped at me, "just wait a minute" I won't be back, EVER! So why did they get 2 stars?, it was a cheap place to stay.
First off let me say that when I booked this hotel direct there was nothing said about a $100,00 security deposit above the cost of the nightly rate. We were told this was a pre-authorization to my credit card that would be reversed in three or four days. We have stayed at many Travelodge's and not one has done this. When we checked out the front desk staff still wanted to put this on my bill. Only when I refused did they put my credit card through for the room only. There were two of us and there was only one wash cloth and hand towel in the room. When I asked for another set of towels and was cloths they brought POOL TOWELS for us. As for the indoor pool no one used it the whole weekend it smelled so strong of pool chemicals. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Reasonably clean. King bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Shortcomings: Towels were thin and worn. The front entrance is stark with 6-7 cement steps up to the door and no ramp for wheeling a suitcase. Additional street-level directional signs for Milner Court and the hotel site would have made it easier to find (having missed the smallish exterior sign on the south side of the hotel on initial approach).
