My requests during booking were fully fullfilled, so it was a good start. Room was clean and tidy, good size, exactly like the hotel demo photos. The room looks quite new, so I guess it was refurbished not long ago. Kitchen is fully equipped, got all I need. The double sofa bed is reasonably comfortable. Breakfast was good. There are 4 choices of hot food, scrambled egg, sausage, bacon, potatoes. For mixed fresh fruits, they haves melons, pineapple, strawberry cuts, grapes. Self-made waffle was very popular. There are also good varieties of cereals, breads, and muffins. The breakfast area can sit around 30 people, so go there early before 9am on the weekends to avoid the crowd. They provide after-work snacks from 6pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Tuesday grill is my favourite, where I could make huge hot dogs. Room-keeping is of good standard. It was clean and tidy every time I entered the room afterwards. The keepers helped to put dirty dishes to the dish washer, and you just need to take them out after cleaned. I noticed that some keepers made the sofa bed with the blanket but some didn't, so I needed to do it myself. It seems that they don't refill the teabags in the coffee/tea basket, may be that's their practice. The pool is small for an adult, so I skipped it. The fitness centre is small too, but got what I needed and it is clean, so I used it everyday. Friendly and helpful staffs are all around, Andrew and the lady at the front desk, Mariem and the others in the dining area, Yvonne the room-keeper, and the maintenance manager... Thanks all very much.
Very convenient location to highway and business park for my business. Overall rooms are spacious, neat and comfortable especially if you need to work at night - no issues with wifi. Breakfast is great with sufficient options for various dietary requirements. The fitness centre is small but available 24h and has the basics to keep in shape. Although limited, there are eating options within walking distance. Staff overall friendly.
-We visited here on a weekend, while attending the CNE in toronto. -Great hotel, nice comfortable beds -Our son used the pull out sofabed, and was comfortable -Having the full kitchen with fridge/freezer is always handy, especially with small children. -Pool was nice -Included Morning Breakfast buffet was Great! (waffles, bacon, sausage, scram eggs, bagels, muffins, toast, fruit, oatmeal, cereal, juice) -location was great right off the 401 -travel time to Kipling Subway station was aprox 15-25min (with no traffic) -rate was good, for summer time, more than half the cost of staying in downtown toronto. -Would return if we were in the area!
Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with family and we all enjoyed each day.The rooms were very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed having a full kitchen to use. The front desk staff were very pleasent, the delicious breakfast served was exceptional. However the only downfall we encountered was the older lady serving the breakfast. We found her to be rude. On our first morning my son was standing looking at the choices of what was being served and she went up to him and said "what are you doing hurry up and move out the way" when no one was behind him except for me. Another morning my husband and I were pouring a coffee for ourselves and another gentleman was waiting to get his coffee and she told him to "move out the way". We didn't feel welcome and felt like we were not supposed to be eating there :(
Checked into the hotel at night. Went to get breakfast at 7am. Leave my purse on the table & turn around. My purse gets stolen which had my cash, wallet, phone, etc in it. Contacted police who couldn't care less- response was very poor even though they had the video surveillance footage showing clear pics of thieves. Also, I had a tracking app on my phone & it showed where my phone was at. Police didn't respond. Talked to Marriott manager. Did not do a thing except give us his business card. Very bad experience, felt hopeless, & never staying at Marriott. Best PART: the employees knew these kind of thefts are going on there. The front desk person actually buzzed to allow the thief inside the premises.
Stayed for personal and business. Local shuttle only, no Airport service, but still very helpful. Decent staff, also very accommodating to requests. Room was clean, comfortable, well appointed, good temperature controls, housekeeping was fine, wi-fi is good here. NOTE: if you come in in the evening especially midweek, you have limited options for food other than pizza delivery. They have the in hotel , kiosk for micro-munchies, etc, so be aware of that before you come in at night. The fitness room is good, and reasonably equipped. It is located in the middle of the business/warehouse district, so if you use the shuttle service, and aren't going anywhere else when you are in the area, you shouldn't have to rent a car. A safe bet when I travel to the area, and will stay here again. Marriott never fails me.
Stayed here for two nights in June. Room is very specious and comfortable, breakfast is rich but the best part is the team and the service. Shauna from the front desk did everything she could to let us feel at home. From early check in to recommendations on the area through printing on her own desktop when the public PC did not work. I knew we'll get a yes from here on everything we needed. She was so personal in her attitude. One of the best front desk managers I have ever met. Cheers Shauna !
Very comfortable room, you would never know that the 401 is so close. Front desk and housekeeping services very friendly and professional. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, looking forward to a delicious complimentary breakfast each and every morning.
Very nice hotel. Large suite rooms with lots of kitchen amenities. Nice pool and hot tub as well. Hot breakfast served as part of room stay. Very clean and well kept hotel and staff is also very friendly. Well worth the price paid for the room!
Loud road noise, very poor evening social options. Breakfast items were exhausted by 6.45 am, 15 minutes after opening. Simply put-this is not a good Residence Inn. Try the Homewood Suites one exit down 401. Its much better and less expensive. Being in the area for two weeks I split my stay at this Residence Inn and the Homewood Suites. Every day I was at the Residence Inn I missed the Homewood Suites.
