Wanting a modern, well designed room, I checked out hotels on-line, selecting the Radisson Admiral Harborview Hotel from the photos of the room, with its views and furnishings, and it was in the location in Toronto where we needed to be. I was not disappointed. Upon arrival, I was immediately impressed with the well designed lobby, with a Starbucks on site. During check in Cameron, the desk clerk was pleasant, friendly, informative and efficient. As I had selected from the photos a corner room with a curved wall of glass with views of the city and Lake Huron, I was disappointed that we were given a room on the second floor where the views were not good and the noise level high. We had not even set down our luggage when Cameron called the room to tell us he had a better room and would meet us on the floor at the elevators with the keys. The same position in the building, but on the highest floor 6, the views were fantastic. A modern, clean bathroom with a large separate all glass shower stall, bathtub, well lite by windows facing the city, it was everything I wanted in a hotel room. Large, a queen sized bed with white linens, an electric fireplace adding a cozy feeling to the room looking out the large floor to ceiling glass expansion at the grey, sleeting Toronto evening. Two comfortable swiveling chairs perfectly place for the view, the fireplace and a large TV (which we turned on only once because curling up with a good book and the view was mesmerizing). A fantastic stay.
Enjoyed our stay, although only one night, but pleasant and quiet. Within walking distance of many restaurants, museum, theater and harbor etc. The sunset over the Lake and the night lights were spectacular.
We weren't sure where to book for a one night stay on the way back to the states and found this hotel to be perfect. It had a upper deck with great views and pool and bar . rooms were clean and up to date .
Very updated, clean and comfortable rooms. Big, modern bathrooms.
Hotel was nice, but bit pricy for what you get. For the price you should at least get complimentary breakfast, discounted dining in other restaurants near-by.
The hotel is beautiful and I loved that it had a Starbucks on site. It's right by the pier and my morning walk watching the small prop planes take off and land over the water was nice. Don't worry, there is no noise from the planes. The buffet breakfast was far superior to most and offered both hot and cold options including fresh fruit. I will say that the miles-long construction made navigation to the hotel difficult, particularly for a person in Toronto for the first time. This of course isn't the hotel's fault, but it still sucked.
On the harbor within walking distance of lots of activities. Very nice room and pleasant, helpful staff.
great hotel, great location, very clean with hardwood floors, very new, bright, small starbucks on the ground floor. next to harbour, restaurants, Toronto Tower etc
The hotel was nice, they moved us to 2 queen beds. Since we booked a 2 queens bed room but when got there we were booked in a king bed room.
Just a quick one night stay while visiting the city, room was amazing, super clean, great view, attentive and friendly staff
My 15 year old son and I stayed here and had a great time! Beautiful location right on the water, great proximity to the blue jays game, toronto fc, hockey hall of fame, shopping, and also had a great time all along the harbour front. Will stay here again!!!
the experience was superb. the staff was over the top on accommodating my needs as i had meetings daily. my stay was 9 days and every day i received good mornings from familiar faces.(staff)
Hotel was well located and it was good value for the price. Only downside was the construction outside making the access to hotel a bit confusing. My only complaint would be the cost of parking but we parked at the people we were visiting.
I enjoyed it all arranged and I have no suggestions
What could be finer than the view from the Radisson Admiral???!!! The CN Tower with it's festive lights is spectacular at night. People skating on the outdoor rinks...the glistening of the water from the harbour front , the different restaurants and bars are a short distance from the hotel. The hotel itself is clean and modern . The rooms are spacious , but most of all, the beds are comfortable. Sweet Dreams :)
Our five-day stay was wonderful--the location was perfect for us. We visited the nearby island, saw a musical, went to a baseball game, did plenty of shopping, viewed the city from the CN Tower, and found all kinds of cool places just walking around the harbor area (including live music, some festival activities, and quite a few interesting shops.) Even made good use of the hotel Business Center (to re-print tickets we bought online.) The staff was extremely professional and helpful (especially Jennifer at the front desk), the room was comfortable and very clean, and the on-site pool, bar, and restaurant were quite convenient. (So was the grocery store across the street.) All this for a very reasonable rate (compared to other Toronto hotels.) We wouldn't stay anywhere else!
The hotel was under renovation when I was there, so this may not be a fair review. I will begin with the good stuff. The staff was friendly. The room was large, clean and comfortable with good quality bath amenities. I was also satisfied with the mattress comfort. The location was great, as the hotel is right on Toronto Harbour near many restaurants, Rogers Centre, CN Tower and Billy Bishop Downtown Airport. While the hotel is under renovation, the common areas WERE NOT KEPT CLEAN. The lobby floor was consistently filthy, and the outside areas had bottles and cans near the doors. The elevators were not working properly part of the time we were there, and even with the renovation, it just seems the staff didn't care what the common areas looked like. Our room was a pre-renovation room, and the furniture and tub needed updating, but they were functional. I would be interested to see what this place is like post-renovation, but for now, I'm not sure that I would return.
This hotel is very convenient for baseball fans, or visitors to the cn tower. There is a nice park that had a local fair going on that was exciting. Room was well priced and clean. The street is under construction, parking under the building is $20/day.
Construction on Queens Quay West makes getting to hotel a bit difficult. DEFINTATELY use one of the one line directions sites - had no trouble with my detailed directions. Construction does stop about 6 pm. Look for RADISSON ton top of building to find it. Hotel garage is the public garage turn in on EAST side of hotel. Just a couple of blocks from CN Tower and Rogers Center. Too far to walk, for me at least, to Eaton Center. CN Tower employee said Eaton Center was additional 20 mins from there. Cityview room I was assigned was 2nd floor looking east into slopping room of a small building next door, NO view at all. Immediately went down to desk, asked for a higher floor. Ended up on 5th floor, east side, but was above the roof. Had view of condos and could see the harbor. Try to get on5 or higher to get better views. Bed was excellent, small fridge, no microwave, good sized room. Unless you are up for serious walking or taking taxis, Radisson is a bit out of the way. I did not eat at their Watermark restaurant - went I went in, they weren't paying attention to the door and the Wait Here area, so I turned around and left. There is a 24 hr small grocery store right across the street. Couple of close by places to eat. All staff I interacted with were very friendly. Just be sure you are up to walking if you stay here.!!!
they had free internet advertised on their website. then when i arrived, they said it was not complimentary and their website had been updated to reflect that. so a bit of false advertising. it didnt make or break the experience but was annoying. overall a good hotel for the cost.
