My stay at the Marriott Courtyard was nice until I realized I had left my samsung tablet in bed. I was working on my tablet then I put my tablet in my case and fell asleep. In the morning the blanket was over my tablet and forgot it. I called the hotel and was told no one turned in a tablet, after speaking to 3 people. I know this was left in the room so someone there has it. This is my disappointment.
This hotel is friendly, and close to major amenities and restaurants. Its downside is that it does not include breakfast and, unless you go out, you are captive to the rather uninspiring and expensive breakfast served in the hotel. Rooms are great and the staff are friendly and personable
It’s more of a business hotel It is what it is. I’ve stayed here at least a dozen times Sometimes the “ business “ crowd can be a bit much so the the “ first time away from Home conduct “. But it is what it is. Does the job
No surprises here. It's just like every other Courtyard Inn. The hotel was very clean and in like new condition. It's located in a quiet area with quick access to major thruways. Located 15 minutes from the Toronto airport with no traffic; 30 minutes during rush hour. No free breakfast is provided which is typical for the Courtyard Inn. There is a Bistro that sells breakfast items in the AM and dinner in the PM. Coffee and alcoholic beverages are also offered. As in all Marriott hotels, there is a 24 hour tiny market that sells food and some personal items. Staff was very friendly. We had a comfortable stay and would return.
The room size was reasonable. Large window facing the 400 & courtyard below let in a fair amount of natural light. The bed was comfortable. The sofa-bed was not as comfortable, and bedding for the sofa-bed had to be found in the closet. Bathroom was clean and small, but not claustrophobic. Staff were friendly and seemed happy. AC unit in room worked well, but noisy as most in window AC units are. Hallways were a bit warm. Pool was small. Exercise room had standard expected equipment - free weights, elliptical (1), stationary bikes (2), and treadmills (2). No change rooms with showers or lockers were available near the pool or exercise room.
Worst hotel in my last 30 years, the internet when is working is so slow that I have to use my cellular to have access to my emails and keep contact with friends via Facebook because the internet hotel didn't transfer my comments. Not able to use google map to found restaurants and traffic! This is my first time that internet is that slow or not working. They do that because they offer higher speed for $$$. It's a business strategy to take your money! Sad to see that in 2017.
My wife and I stayed at the Courtyard Toronto Vaughan for one night. We were in town to attend a wedding which was down the road at the Paradise Banquet Hall. We didn't get the room that we booked in advance which was a king room. We arrived at around 3 pm on a Saturday ( August 19 ), and they said that the hotel was fully booked. So they gave us a handicap room. Water is pretty expensive in this place. There were two bottles of water on the table for sale at 2.50 each! This is a good location if you are attending events at the Paradise Banquet Hall and Convention Centre. It cost $10.00 each way by taxi. For people who needs a hair dryer to dry their hair... The hair dryer will be in the closet. This was a pretty simple, trouble free stay.
The major advantage of this place is its location. You can easily access the highway from the hotel as well as get to the mall. The room was clean but lacked basic amenities. To use the microwave you will need to go to the ground floor which could be cumbersome. In all it was a comfortable stay. **** Can simple breakfast be added to the room payment? It's easier.
Me and colleagues stayed here for one night while visiting a prospective client. Staff was pleasant and very helpful. Property and amenities clean and comfortable. Location is perfect for nearby dining and shopping. I did use the gym which was very nice. Breakfast in the morning was good as well.
Stayed here during a masters athletics competition at nearby York University. My room was lovely and the staff extremely helpful. My events didn't end until mid afternoon but I was given a late checkout at 4 pm (later extended to 5pm without having to argue at all). When I needed directions to the airport they were extremely helpful. I'll be back a couple of times in the next few years for other competitions and will definitely stay here again.
