We rented the entire inn for our mothers 85th birthday and all her brothers and sisters. Wonderful decision. Food, service, and accommodations were fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. Mary (the owner) was hands-on for any questions/requests but we had the run of the place. It felt like we were home. Our chef, Lana, treated us like royalty. Our event handlers (Lydia, Shelby, and Sage) were professional and catered to our every need. We will return.

I visited with my kids for a night and we were so impressed with the facility, rooms and the service. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier and we really enjoyed the new chef. The staff arranged for horseback riding in the evening. We really enjoyed our ride and the whole experience at the ranch.

My husband and I went here for our 25th anniversary. The facilities and grounds are great. We loved our room, the outdoor areas and the facilities - such as the outdoor hot tub. That being said, the service is terrible. Breakfast was the same both days (scrambled eggs, overcooked breakfast potatoes - almost like potato chips, bacon and biscuits - note: the biscuits were amazing). The second day breakfast was cold and was set up like a buffet. Ice buckets are in the rooms. However, there is no way to get ice unless you ask for it. I asked for ice on our first evening and it was never delivered. When we saw the person working on her way out for the night she commented she forgot to bring us ice, but she'd leave us some downstairs and we could come get it (we were on the third floor with no elevator). On our second day there I never even saw anyone who I could ask for ice. Another dissatisfying issue was on our second night I went to sit in the outside hot tub. It was already occupied by the owner's teenage daughter and her friend. While they were not loud or horse playing they were whispering to each other the entire time I was in there and that made it very difficult to relax. In my opinion guests should take precedence over family members when using facilities. Finally, there is an automatic 20% service charge added to the bill. When we left I put a note at the front desk (because no one was there) asking for the service charge to be reduced and I'd be happy to discuss the reasons why. No one ever communicated back with me. So, I was charged $90 for what ended up being ice left for me downstairs, cold breakfast served on a buffet and not much else. For two nights at this Bed and Breakfast, with lack of service like I've never experienced at a B & B, I paid $580. To me that is a ridiculous amount to pay for what we received.

We recently had our wedding at the Circle S Ranch. We traveled in from out of state and rented out the entire inn. Every single member of our party was extremely impressed with the inn, the food, and the service. The staff at Circle S Ranch went out of their way to ensure that every need was attended to and assisted myself and my husband in booking a couples massage for the day after the wedding. I would recommend the ranch to anyone who asked. We plan on returning next year for an anniversary trip.

I absolutely LOVED visiting and staying at the ranch. It was so beautiful and the staff so accommodating to my needs (recently had back surgery) of needing a first floor room and extra pillows. LOVED!

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and loved it! the staff was super friendly and attentive, the hot tub was so relaxing and the overall ranch was quiet and peaceful. Just what we needed to get away from our stressful jobs. Thanks Mary and the bunch at the Circle S Ranch! We'll be back!

We rented all 12 guest rooms for the weekend and 32 people stayed here very comfortably. We loved the atmosphere of the ranch, and everyone loved touring everyone else's guest rooms to see the fun decor. All rooms were in good condition, and the inn was very helpful providing rollaways or extra linens as needed. We had delicious breakfasts (included with room) and had them cater our Saturday evening meal as well. The common spaces were large and comfortable. There is also a lot of seating outside on the porch. We caught fish in the pond, played with kittens in the barn, took a wagon ride, and had a bonfire with smores. It is an easy drive from Lawrence. Everyone wants to go back again! Highly recommend.

i recently had the privilege to visit and stay at Circle S Ranch and i have to admit it was outstanding the Ranch was beautiful the rooms were clean and spacious the food was amazing the best meal i had in Kansas. All Farm to Table Food had the most amazing Freshly Home Made Pie i have ever tasted in my life i would certainly recommend a visit to this Ranch. And a Huge Thank you to Mary for your Hospitality

We loved the Ranch until this trip! Our girls group has stayed at this B&B two previous times and loved it. This time was horrible. Cold nacho cheese dip appetizers that were supposed to be hot, Mexican food that consisted of cold refried beans and rice, lukewarm tortilla soup, etc. One of the reasons we make this a yearly trip was the hot tub, but, alas, when we opened the cover it was a murky mess about two feet deep that registered 91 degrees. A young man said it was broken and that they had been having trouble with it. All in all, this will be our last visit.

This property is a ranch that was converted to a hotel/wedding venue, and we were there for a family wedding. It is quaint and rustic. It doesn't have TV or wifi which we didn't know in advance. It is a beautiful, peaceful ranch. I'm glad that we had a fireplace in our room because it was quite cold, and the heat wasn't on. There weren't a lot of options on food, but what they did serve was good. The staff was very nice and helpful. I wish there had been more for my kids to do during the day. They should consider having someone onsite to assist in pre-wedding grooming (i.e., hairdresser, manicurist, pedicurist, etc.).
