I like that the hotel was exactly as advertised. Staff were friendly even with me coming and going all the time. It was in a nice area easy to get to from the airport and easy to get to the train station. Excellent shopping and food options. ATM very nice at 7-11. The hotel itself is a bit outdated but it’s still very clean and nice. We had a hard time with the ac but we were able to leave the window open for circulation. Rated as a 4 because of the surrounding area primarily. It’s super convenient to get around with the bus stops, train station, and a taxi service down the street. Dining options are pretty wide spread. Probably one of the best Yakiniku spots around the corner up some stairs. Perfect place to just explore. Highly recommend just for that factor.

The room was fine, although everything about it felt dated or otherwise cheap (from the sliding wood window covers to the washlet). I was able to plug my Switch into the TV and play it, so that's a plus. The staff ranged from "fine" to "lovely," although the latter where the minority here. There were a couple vending machines in the hotel, one of which was in the same room as the laundromat, which had 3 (or 4, I forget) washing machines and dryers. I had a view of the Ayase station, so it's pretty close; there was also a 7-11 very nearby (as in, it's near enough that you can see it down the street when you walk out the hotel's front door), and a handful of other convenience stores within a 3-5min walk of the hotel. As with other Smile Hotels, you have to turn in your key when you leave the hotel, and that makes me feel like I'm being babysat (or otherwise 'watched'), so I don't care for that. Also, on my 2nd night, I could hear a neighbor's TV pretty loud; at one point, I think that person kicked the wall. Not sure what that was all about. So that's the kind of clientele this hotel has, I guess: loud-TV wall-kickers. But hey, come here for a day when you need to do some laundry.
