This is a very convenient location. Walking distance from JR Shinagawa station and Toei Asakusa line Takanawadai station. Very affordable compared to its neighbor Grand Prince hotel. Great neighborhood. Lots of stores and restaurants, affordable food court nearby, even a Catholic church just behind the hotel. The rooms are very clean, fast check-in and checkout. Great service. Polite and some English understanding employees. Don't expect a large room. It is standard size for a Japanese business hotel. Just be warned that it is uphill from Shinagawa station.
I have been to Prince Hotel Shinagawa and I was amazed by the Size but at Tobu Hotel I saw how space was well utilized at first I wasn't too pleased but after a while I started appreciating the architectural brain behind it. You Will Love This Hotel especially if you are someone that just want to spend some days doing business in Shinagawa with its lovely Italian restaurant wow..
Stayed several days here with my family. Got a great rate for three, instead of getting two separate rooms at another hotel. This hotel was very basic, but provided good service, clean rooms and convenient location to the Shinagawa station. There were convenience stores and restaurants nearby, which we frequented. The only odd thing is that we needed to turn-in our room key to the front desk and request it back when returning to the hotel. They need to upgrade to electronic card keys. They have a fresh ground coffee machine, vending machines and washer/dryer on the 2nd floor.
The hotel is mere 200-300m away from the Shinagawa Station, allowing easy access to various parts of Tokyo. Haneda Airport is just 10km away. Room is neat and comfortable, breakfast is slightly limited. There are a lot of restaurants near the station.
Good location. About 5 mins walk to Shinagawa station. I preferred to take taxi when travel with luggages. (It cost only 410 JPY from Shinagawa station to the hotel) Clean and comfortable room. Large room and beds compared with other business hotel in Tokyo. I stayed here for 2 nights in double room with 1 extra bed and it was good. Clean bathroom with amenities.
After a long flight from Sydney we requested to check in early, and the hotel staff kindly sped up or check in, which they didn't have to do, but it was greatly appreciated by us. The room was cosy and clean. The location is great, only a 5 minute stroll to Shinagawa train station. The next day after checkout we had realised that we had forgotten our passports in the hotel. By this time we had already arrived at Mt Fuji. After we phoned Shinagawa Tobu hotel, they organised an immediate check of the room, found our passports and organised for an express delivery. The hospitality and service was beyond incredible! I would highly recommend this hotel!
This small hotel near Shinagawa station was a perfect location for a Shinkansen to Kyoto the following morning. About five minutes walk from the station and easy to find it was everything one needs for an overnight stay. The beds were extremely comfortable and one huge plus was that the window opened to let in fresh air as Tokyo hotels are very overheated and stuffy. The shower was hot and the toiletries were good. The bathroom though small was perfectly adequate with thick towels and hairdryer etc. in fact nothing was lacking. There is no restaurant but it is only a short walk to the station area with lots of restaurants and even Cafes for breakfast so that wasn't a problem. The staff were helpful though not much English is spoken ( but that wasn't unusual everywhere we found). I was pleasantly surprised at this hotel as it was cheaper than others and some reviews were not that good but I found it to be perfectly comfortable and no complaints at all.
Hotel clean. Not upscale but comfortable. The staff were unwilling to answer questions or help get a taxi or give directions until I or any other guest confirmed they had a room number and they looked us up to see what kind of customer history We had. Maybe it's common or supposed to make me feel exclusive(?) in this district but I was offended and will not stay here in the future.
Stayed here for 2 nites for a 3 bed room. Check in was smooth & they even let us check in 2 hrs earlier. Its quite a distance from Shinagawa station BUT its very breathless to walk to the hotel as you need to go up the slope. The free coffee with a food vending machine & having it in a nice room was really helpful once you check out. I love the amenities in the room and the bed was really comfortable ! We stayed there & booked the hotel shuttle bus from Grand Prince Takanawa to the airport back as the shuttle bus do not have a pick up from this hotel. Really a savings as we no need to stay in a very luxury hotel. Thumbs up for this hotel. Only lacking is that the staffs do not speaks english that well. You need to keep on repeating.
While the staff of hotel is very friendly and helping. The hotel is pretty ordinary. It feels like that there has been no upgrade and the rooms are very basic. Location is good. Very close to Shinagawa station.
