Overall very much enjoyed the location. Hot tub was located in a remote space at the back of the the unit so did not use it. Not sure if the structure could support it but it would be better on the upper deck near the master bedroom. The beach was so close and great for exploring the immediate area. Kitchen was well supplied from a pots and pans and dishes prespective but limited in leftover spices, vinegars, etc from previous visitors, I understand that may be intentional. I would recommend this location but give a heads up on what you may need to buy in small quanities before you drive in. Koodos to the staff they were all great to work with and very attentive.

We had an amazing stay! Everything was as listed in the ad. The home was spotlessly clean, the property was immaculate. Hot tub was amazing. Communication was excellent with our host, she went beyond to ensure our comfort- thoughtful greeting card and check in texts. We were surprised at just how close we were to the beach- anticipating it to be a little farther of a walk. We were equally as surprised at just how much sun hits the GEORGOUS deck!! The kids loved the soccer ball- another lovely surprise. Overall it was a spectacular experience- our only complaint was that we had to leave! We hope to be back soon. Thank you!

A pleasant stay

Our stay at Cox Bay Retreat was very pleasant. It was quiet, fairly private, well located and well organized. I would however make a few suggestions namely that the dishwasher be fixed (the bottom rack does not roll out well at all), alternative comforters could be in the room for people sensitive to down. Our master bedroom had only one bath towel. Beds were on the soft side, we prefer firm beds. Communications and directions were very clear and timely.

Amazing stay steps from Cox Bay Beach.

We had a fantastic stay exploring Tofino and hitting the waves. The place was incredibly well-equipped - a great kitchen and beautiful bathrooms. We loved the hot tub and location.

Perfect Tofino Getaway

This was a three generation family vacation. Myself with two adult daughters and a four year old granddaughter. The location was beyond our expectations - just minutes from Cox Bay down a groomed path leading right to the beach. It was well appointed with plush towels, robes, tv, kitchen supplies etc etc etc. Would go again and highly recommend you try it.

Sisters vacation

What a great home and perfect location! We had such a great time exploring Cox Bay, Tofino and Pacific Rim Park. So many great beaches, hikes and fabulous things to do! I will be back to explore again.

Beautiful home steps away from Cox Bay

We had a group of six and all of us felt great in the three rooms. It was great to cook in the kitchen and the bbq on the deck. Comfortable to gather in doors or have dinner on the table outside. Washer and dryer were useful for us. The only downside was the hot tub powered off both nights as we tried to use the hot tub. Caretakers were quick to fix the issue when notified but it happened shortly after again. Still a 10/10 vacation home.

Amazing April

The beach was steps away, we hit perfect weather. The kitchen and living area was perfect for our group of 4, as well as the sunny deck. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen as we did not want to spend time looking for restaurants. Lots of stairs to the main floor but not a problem. Nice bedrooms and bathrooms.

Dad’s Birthday Celebration

We gathered family from Lethbridge Kelowna and Courtenay to celebrate a milestone Birthday The accommodation was great and the amenities were fantastic. Too bad the weather didn’t cooperate a bit better but what can you expect in November on the Wet coast.

Cox Bay Retreat

We were very impressed with the property. It’s very family friendly with lots of room to be together. The beds were awesome! It was a short 5 minute walk to the beach and so nice to hear the waves at night. We rate it a 5 star!

Perfect Time in Tofino

This house was a perfect location for us to get to our day trips and hikes and beach. One of the nicest and well equipped rental properties we have stayed at. The hot tub and cozy robes made it feel like a resort experience, but at the same time it had the comforts of home. Hope to return someday!

Cox Bay Retreat - Fantastic Location, Great House

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cox Bay Retreat. The location was perfect for what we had hoped to accomplish during this trip. Over the course of several days, we walked to and spent time at Cox Bay Beach, which is only a few minutes away! We drove to several great hiking trails near Tofino and Ucluelet. There was plenty of room for all of us, and we spent our time unwinding in the kitchen, living room area, and the hot tub (of course!). I cannot say enough wonderful things about the folks in Tofino. This was one the best trips our family has had because of the people who live there, beginning with the property owners - they’re fantastic! Tofino Vacation Rentals was attentive and responsive, and of course, the friendly folks at Tofino and Ucluelet are one of a kind. Our family would happily stay at Cox Bay Retreat again - no doubt!

A weekend away

We had a great stay at the Cox Bay retreat. The place was super clean and lots of room for my husband and I, our two adult boys and their girlfriends. The kitchen was well stocked for all our cooking needs, we loved the spa like bathrooms, a great surf board rack with a hose to rinse off the gear and it was nice to be so close to the beach. A few minutes down the path and you are there. Highly recommend this place! We will be back :)
