People were great, and stay was okay only because it was 1/4 the cost of premier inn for my night. However , room smelt of mould, paint peeling off most of bathroom. Sheets/duvet pristine but the softest bed I’ve ever slept inn … the worst thing was the noise from the heating/water pump going all night.

First time at this hotel, staying for one night. A quick visit to Tiverton on the way home from a few days in Bideford to see the Grand Western Canal and assess the potential for a future longer visit. Overall, facilities, food and staff excellent, decor a little tired. Free parking on site a major advantage. Room comfortable, but no USB ports provided to charge phones etc. However, will definitely consider coming back at a later date.

Firstly and probably most importantly, the service was helpful and friendly. We had some additional requests (bags and bike storage to name 2) and nothing was a problem. Rooms clean, albeit dated, everything worked well. Food was ok. Atmosphere in bar / restaurant was a little quiet and bright for me, but again, service was spot on.

The staff was helpful, the room large and fairly clean. Housekeeping was provided on a daily basis. The downside, there is no elevator, so if you are on the 1st floor and have knee issues, there is an issue. Toiletries are sparse and the room does not come with a microwave or mini fridge.
