When this property was new it was great now it is going down hill and not kept up. Needs remodeling. Also outside of property stinks like POOP! Something needs to be done about the horrible smell even in the rooms you could smell it. We will not be returning to this hotel too much money and the breakfast is so cheap.
By no means a fancy hotel, more reminds me of a quaint American small town hotel or an older room at the YMCA of the Rockies. Which is about what I expect when paying $80/night. My room was on the 3rd floor but was asked beforehand if that was ok. Really nice view of the ocean and Mexican style architecture. Although outdated, my room was clean and everything worked: heat, shower, sink, toilets. Continental breakfast was the basics: coffee, yogurt, toast, muffins. If you stay here and are looking for a good breakfast, I suggest Cafe Conrado that is a short drive away.
Very nice area quiet location clean and spacious very helpful staff I am sure we will be back soon, close to Rosarito where you find anything and everything, happy to have found this condo...love this place.
Severely outdated. Still have old style tv and lumpy mattresses. It's decorated still with what appears to be original from when it was built. Not worth $120 per night; more like $60 per night. This is stupid to have to meet min. Character count. My point was made in the first 2 sentences.
Afraid to go into deep Mexico. Well this is Safe Mexico. My wife and I golf here all the time on Tuesdays and Thursdays because the course is challenging, in decent shape, and very inexpensive: $25. including cart for 18 holes. 15 of the greens are in great shape. The others are leopard like, spotty. The bag boy will unload your bags for $1. He will clean your clubs and shoes for $2. What is not to like. The fairways are in excellent shape. This is an ocean view course, but not on the ocean. Bring lots of balls unless your are a 10 index or less. This course is a ball eater. The course grounds keepers may offer you 30 balls for 50 pesos after you are on the course. Take the offer even if these balls aren't Pro V 1"s. You will need them. The Hotel is Mexican 1st class, which has lots of meanings here. I would try to stay in the best rooms as the lesser priced ones may not be your bag, you beautiful gringos. If your wife is a princess, maybe don't stay here as she may find something wrong. IT REALLY ISN"T THAT BAD!!!! You are 20 minutes from the border here and the location is freaking fantastic. I advise crossing back to the USA in the mornings around 9am. if you don't have a Sentri Pass. That way your crossing back SHOULD take only 30 minutes. Bring a passport, but if you forget, your USA Drivers License will work. Take a chance and go south to Rosarito to eat, only 10 minutes. See my other reviews to find a great place, ocean front!!! Overall it was a good stay. There are numerous bad reviews, and I was very skeptical upon arrival. After looking around and settling in, my fears were calmed. The rooms do need new carpeting, and paint, but overall it was a very comfortable stay. It is a older place, but it fits the area very well. Didn't play golf, but course looked to be in good shape (again, I didn't get to play, just looking at it). Check-in was smooth, breakfast was adequate, fresh fruit, toast, pastries, fresh juice. Ultimately I would bring my family back here to visit.
First, check in took long cause they run out of paper roll for the credit card machine. We got a single room and it was suppose to be a suite 28th double beds. They switch me to a double suite that didn't have electricity, no tv and was dirty. The last room had a dead spider on the tub, another on the sink and one walking on the wall next to the beds. Not enough towels in the room and worse some were dirty I don't know if stained or with poop, the glass dirty too. The sofa bed wasn't made. I requested toilet paper cause no extra and they just told me is one in the bathroom. The pool was closed and the information they have me totally non sense. When I check out I requested a refund cause all the inconvenience we had since arrival and the manager didn't care about it cause the lobby clerk sent him an email to him and after 30 minutes he didn't reply. A 25 dollar discount that wasn't enough after all we went through not mentioned that I have arachnophobia. They need to make a whole room renovation. The only good thing in this place was the Italian restaurant. But I don't reccomend this hotel and my first and last time here. Don't go to this hotel.
Even though there is a nice view of islands and sunsets the hotel room it's self was poorly maintained. The sink in bathroom was not attached to counter, it was held up with a 2x4. if you removed the board the sink would fall to the floor. The thermostat cover was missing and therefore unable to see how to adjust the temperature. We were on the 3rd floor and had to carry our belongings up the crumbling stairs Lights in bathroom did not come on until 10 minutes after switching them on. The room appeared to be very clean although there were many stains on carpet. The bed was very comfortable but there was what appeared to be a fresh blood stain on the duvet. There was a tiny coffee pot but no complimentary coffee packets. No restaurant in hotel but there was an Italian restaurant and Cuban bar across the way which were very nice.
We stayed here for a business trip, and after getting our room assignments we were told that the rooms didn't have wifi, only the lobby (the rooms are in different buildings), so I can't work as I have planned because they hotel stated they had free wifi. Then, when I arrived to my room we found a very outdated musky room, I walked to the bathroom to find a sink covered in spiders, some dead, some alive all dwellings in their spider webs, as a reach for the towels, there is was another spider web, with spiders looming all over. I tried to call the lobby, but to my surprise the phone was not working because it was not connected and it was very late and dark so I was very afraid to go to the lobby. So I didn't sleep the whole night thinking there was spiders lurking all around. The next morning my co-worker told me he experienced the same, spiders all around his room and he didn't feel safe, since the lock to his room did not work and the door kept openings. We went to stay for 2 days, but at this point I had to move all my meetings in one day because we couldn't stay in those conditions. The manager didn't want to give us our money back since we were planning to check out later, for the night we didn't sleep. She offered to give us 50% off our next stay, but why would we want a return? To add insult to injury, I asked to for fast border pass and they wanted to charge us, $10 even after they kept the money for a night we didn't stay! Needless to stay the manager did waived
Absolutely in need a makeover...was disgustingly dirty...so much so...we never stayed...we lasted all of 20mins...when we checked in...the smell at reception was enough to put you off, but the rooms, they took disgusting to another level...I would never recommend this resort to anyone ever..
