Las Olas Resort and Spa

Las Olas Resort was an amazing place to spend a few days at, the only problem was we did not have enough time to spend there. The view from our balcony was a beautiful 220 degrees of white water crashing on rocks that lulled us into a perfect sleep at night. The entire staff was extremely friendly and we were greeted with smiles every time upon entering the restaurant making us feel right at home and welcome. Armando checked us in and made sure we were taken care of and completely satisfied with our stay. Our in room kitchen had a coffee maker and all the necessities needed for making breakfast every morning so we could sip our coffee and enjoy the spectacular views while getting ready for our day. I can’t way to come back!!

Our room on the 10th floor was fantastic. The view was dramatically beautiful, and we enjoyed it especially in our balcony jacuzzi. The hotel manager, Armando, was an exceptional host and made our visit that much more pleasant. A beautiful weekend getaway to remember.

Weekend getaway, well appointed condo. Pools and sand area provide a great place for the kids. Restaurant is located with a view of waves crashing on the rocks. The VIEWS are incredible. The property is very secure, Armando and the rest of the staff are great.

It was a beautiful day, this is the second time did I stay in this resort, this time was different the Wi-Fi work, I really enjoyed the Resort, The location it's between puerto nuevo and Rosarito. Close to the shopping places.

Recently visited Las Olas Resort & Spa with a group of friends and had a nice time--mainly because of the company, the resort was just okay (read why down below and see pictures attached). The drive in from Los Angeles was pretty smooth, but we were directed to the wrong Las Olas in Rosarito (yes, there are TWO, so be careful when typing it into your navigation/directions app). Anyway, once we arrived we were greeted by a friendly front desk staff (though the aesthetics of the front desk office were a bit run down). After checking in, a bellman kindly helped us with our belongings and escorted us to our 2 bedroom condo. Upon entry, we walked down a long hallway that led to a large open floor plan with kitchen, living room and beautiful view of the ocean. The kitchen was nice, but I was disappointed with the living room furniture--the couch was tattered and a huge rip in one of the cushions (I'm not sure why management hasn't fixed or replaced that yet, but it should be addressed ASAP). The bedrooms were nice (one is a master bedroom, the other is a regular bedroom but good size). The master bathroom was nice, but the hallway bathroom (the one we used) left much to be desired--there was dirt/mildew stains around the edge of the tub, rust stains on the bathtub faucet, moving tape on the side of the tub (why?), and so on. Needless to say, this particular room could have used some TLC. However to be fair, we did visit other friend's rooms and their furniture/bathrooms were in better shape than ours so maybe we were just assigned a no-so-great room. As for the grounds, we only visited the swim-up pool, which was nice and the bar staff was great. Unfortunately, all the bathrooms near the pool were stopped up (including the lobby bathroom, which didn't flush properly--gross.) Overall, I would say this resort is probably one of the nicer options in Rosarito, Mexico and is good for an inexpensive & quick getaway. However, you are expecting higher than 2.5 / 3-star accommodations, you will be greatly disappointed.

Since my first visit in Jan 2015 and my multiple visits ever since, i am very pleased with the services, staff (Armando) Stellar Customer Service and complete offerings at the Resort.. i recommend a romantic weekend get away or a Family turn around trip this place is to die for a beauty from inside and out with the ocean views from all condos! 2 and 3 bedroom condos all great

The place is absolutely beautiful. Even with this being my second time around, it still takes my breath away. The view is astonishing and it seems to never get old. Our room did not disappoint once again and everything was far above the status quo. The pools were clean and the property was well taken care of. The food was an explanation mark to our trip. The herb steak was an absolute delicacy along with all the other items on the menu. This resort has it all and really has the making to be one of the best in the area.

I've stayed here, and the place is amazing but it's a shame that nothing worked when we stayed, the pool wasn't heated, half of the Jacuzzis were broken, the net for the tennis court was in a bad shape. The hotel staff was rude and the nightly price was over $300 dlls, worth it for the view but the experience wasn't all that great!! I sent an email to the staff via facebook and instead of addressing the issue they deleted the message, very poor service.

Oddest hotel stay ever, we only stayed one night because it was so strange. Almost like the resort wasn't open. It has the potential to be a great hotel but seems more like a ghost town. It is huge but looks less than half finished - many units are shells or are boarded up. Half the amenities are not usable (fridge in our room, hot tubs, sauna and fire pits not working). This hotel could hold over 1000 people but we saw a total of 20 over two weekend days (including staff). I would not stay here again unless I could confirm it was fully operational.

Las Olas Grand is our favorite destination for a "weekend getaway". We have stayed there numerous times, in various rooms, and we will be returning soon for our next "weekend getaway". The view from every room is second to none. Las Olas Grand features twenty floors facing the beautiful blue Pacific Ocean. Las Olas means "the waves" in Spanish, and every room we have stayed in has breathtaking white water views of the incredible waves. Our favorite room was on the tenth floor with an amazing balcony. It has a fantastic view of the rugged coastline south towards Ensenada, and the panoramic view stretches northwest toward Rosarito Beach, with amazing sunsets. Each room has a full luxurious kitchen so we often bring our own food, even though we rarely eat in because there is a fantastic restaurant downstairs. "Las Cristales" is located right on the water and has a very delicious, unique menu at reasonable prices. Right next to the restaurant is a world class gym with every piece of equipment you need, a sauna that is right on the water, a steam room, showers, and bathrooms. Along the walkway there are jacuzzis hidden in the well maintained landscape. There is a beach volleyball court next to the large infinity pool right on the ocean. With all of the concerns about safety in Mexico these days, the overwhelming feeling of being safe and secure is a big reason we continue to return to Las Olas Grand. The security is the best I have seen in the forty years I have been going to Baja. Your car is safe and the security guards make sure no one enters the property that doesn't belong there. Armando and the rest of the staff were all very friendly, helpful, and efficient. The location is good for taking day trips to Ensenada, wine country tours, lobster dinners, spas, and everything Baja has to offer. We are so fortunate to live southern California so we have access to such a phenomenal place for a "weekend getaway".
