Absolutely enjoyed our stay! The view of the locks was incredible, and watching ships pass through was such a unique experience - could view right from your own balcony. The inn is older but clean, comfortable, and fairly priced. Friendly staff made check-in easy and welcoming.

The staff was very friendly, the room was clean. Ship traffic was above average and we lost count of how many ships we saw passing through lock 7.

Room was nicer than expected. There was an odd odor, but that did subside after a few hours. The bathroom could use an update - all the fixtures were very low. Location to lock 7 is great. We had the opportunity to watch several ships pass through. There’s not much within a walkable distance from the hotel, but it is pretty close to the Niagara Falls area and many of the wineries are within a 15 minute drive.

Likedbthe property and being able to see the ships going through the locks. But, that is all the good stuff i have to say. The beds were so hard we both hand sore backs after the first night. I personally had a very hard time sleeping on the bed. As far as other stuff. The room was cold. and the baseboard heaters were having a hard time keeping up.

Room were spacious and well kept, albeit quite dated. Views of the canal are very nice and location is close to walking paths and the nice strip of downtown Thorold. Staff were nice and helpful, but felt quite expensive for the quality and location.

My stay at the Inn at Lock 7 was very enjoyable and relaxing. The room was very clean and housekeeping was done every day. The view of the ships going through Lock 7 of the Welland Canal is amazing! I would definitely stay here again!

The key point of this property is what it is named for... the Welland Canal Lock 7. From your patio or balcony you get to watch 300+ meter ships making their way from Lake Ontario to Lake Eire (or the reverse). It's a spectacle. The property is a pleasant spot run by a really nice family.

Nice quiet spot in a residential neighborhood, surrounded by older homes. Very peaceful. The locks were definitely a fascinating point of interest, ships going through. Sit on the balcony and enjoy the view. Inn itself not fancy but clean and comfortable.
