Definitely a recommended place to stay when you are in town for the city break with the family and visiting friends. Close to the city centre and to the beach. Plenty of restaunrants in the near by shopping street.
Spacious and clean rooms, nice room view, good and diverse breakfast, helpful staff. They block a 50 euro deposit on check-in so you have to pay attention to your bank to recover the money. It's a little fat from the city center.
We have spent 4 nights with 2 kids in a room. Staff extremely helpful and nice. Every special wish fulfilled. Breakfast was nice, good coffee, wide choice of dishes both warm and cold, fruits, pastry etc. very satisfied with that. Little remark for the kitchen: there were a lot of plates not well cleaned by dishwasher. But that happens to me at home as well. Maybe you could pay more attention to that. Room was very clean, beds were very comfy and there was enough place for the 4 of us. You can buy daily travel cards at reception, which is very useful. Also a big plus: free coffee and water at the hall. A tram and a bus station are very close, 5 min walk away (with kids). Quite area, not very busy - at least at weekends. We definitely recommend this hotel.
I was there for 4 days participating in an event with 400 participants. It's a very good choice for such big and demanding professional events. The room was perfect, big, clean, very good bed. The staff also was very gent and helpful. The breakfast was ok, could have more choices. The main issue is the extremely small lounge. It covers 4-5 small parties of 4 persons each. All the others elements are perfect.
If you are attending a conference at the world for him, or have meetings at the ICTY, OPCW or Europol, you can stay here for the convenience. But it's an area without atmosphere or nice restaurants, except the two (Gember, Berlage) that are attached to the city Museum, which is 500 m away. The hotel is nice enough, but the amenities are going to basic, like cardboard cups for your tea in your room. The staff at the front desk were very helpful, but seemed surprised by my wide range of requests, like for a shower cap, a Band-Aid and if I could have a copy of the gym opening times in my room, rather than having to call down every time, because they change every day. They managed to help me with everything I needed, but had the appearance of interns on the first day, really trying to do their best. It was adorable, but not completely reassuring. I was disappointed that I had to pay €10 to use the gym, but it is nice enough.
I stayed here for 10 days for an event and had a relaxing time if I was in my room! Nevertheless there were some points which didn't satisfied me at all. The bed is very comfortable and the room was mostly clean. My laundry was once in the room of my colleague and I don't recommend to order warm food in the bar. It was not enjoyable at all and there was no other chance to get food instead of a small fridge in the lobby. The arranged room drops for the guests were not delivered as requested and the breakfast buffet didn't offer a good choice. The staff was very friendly and supportive which helped to not get a worse review. Thank you anyway for having us and I hope our stay in 6 months will be more successful.
After a bit of research I found this hotel to host a group of families. The real pro argument was that they offer offer rooms for up to four persons while children under 16 are free which makes it a very fair deal. The group booking went very well (except for one case), and the staff were extraordinarily friendly and helpful. The hotle itself is located between the citry centre and the beach of Scheveningen and well connected by tram. The rooms are well designed and regularly sized. With four beds in a family room tough only little space remains. There are some nice details such as the coffee and tea facilitiy and a Bluetooth receiver including a USB charger in the room, free lemon spiced water and coffee in the lounge. The breakfast is good, still the eating area is easily overcrowded at peak time - but guests are made aware of that both at the reception and by a sign in the elevator. The hotel is clean and seems to be well run. It might not be the most luxurious place in town, but it is definetely a great place to stay and a good deal.
Stayed one night for a business trip. Lovely hotel, the bottle of water in the room was greatly appreciated! Room was clean, quite and the bed was comfy. Unfortunately I probably spent a total of 8 hours in the hotel, most of which I spent sleeping so didn't get to use the hotel amenities at all. Breakfast was full of fresh food, although their boiled egg wasn't really boiled so splattered all over me when I tried to peel the shell off. Maybe that was a misunderstanding on my side. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and a free drink was given upon arrival. Appreciate it is essentially a budget hotel, but food in the evening would have been a huge benefit. Considering where the hotel is based, I'm guessing a lot of people who stay will be on business trips. I was exhausted after a day of traveling and meetings, so just the ease of having some sort of food in the evenings would have been better than having to walk 10/15 mins to a local restaurant. Moaning over something small I know, but I really was very tired!
Situated right at the World forum, Novotel is the perfect choice for the attendees. This convenience makes for the hotel being far from the city center and rather isolated. Wi-Fi is fast and the buffet breakfast superb.
This is a nice hotel, modern design and quite comfortable. The free WiFi is perfectly adequate and a particularly good point is the helpfulness and friendliness of all the staff - not just the Front Desk. The Hotel management should be congratulated in this particular issue - they have built a culture of helpfulness and friendliness not always found in big hotel chains. But the hotel offers no lunch or dining facilities and this is a m,amor draw back. It is a fair way out of town and the surrounding area is not blessed with restaurants. I just don't think that a hotel of this type can be given 4 stars with such a glaring omission in its facilities. Would I stay here again? Yes, if I were going to World Forum for an event but I would make sure I had the number of the local Pizza delivery company !
