This hotel is just fine- clean, neat and in the right place if you have a conference at the world forum. The public transport is great. There is a really good breakfast but no other eating facilities (though staff directed us to some lovely shopping areas for restaurants and cafes). The gym is not free- 10 euros seems a bit more than a small charge to me. However, the woods and seaside mnearby are great for running. The best bit about this hotel is the staff. They are just so nice and helpful! They helped us find opera tickets, trams and restaurants and did it so well. I have never met better hotel staff.
The Executive Room was of a good standard and very clean and quiet. Given that I was attending an event in the connected World Forum venue the location was perfect but the lobby bar was really bottlenecked in early evening. I think the modest crowd that was backed up there could have been anticipated. Maybe staff waiting tables as well as manning the bar would have helped.
I was here for a conference and since this is connected to the congress centre, was booked here as part of my group. Was surprised they didn't have dinner service despite being rated a 4-star hotel, ao we had to walk to the Marriott next door to grab a quick bite. They do have a restaurant, but it is only for breakfast and serves the exact same thing every morning. The staff were very friendly and will go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. I also liked that you can buy the tram pass right at the hotel desk. My room was OK-although the bed could probably be updated as a spring popped and made me bounce up just as I was falling asleep! I did appreciate the nice little espresso machine in my room and the complimentary chips & drinks in the mini-bar (although some of my colleagues didn't get this so I felt quite lucky). The bathroom was a nice size & the shower comfortable.
I usually book this hotel for my business trips and book the executive room. Last week, they gave me room 525 which was smaller than the usual executive room that Í had. The walls were dirty, my bathrobe did not have a belt and I just felt ripped off for the amount that I paid and for the service and comfort that I expected (which is why I was willing to pay more). I'm going back for 3 nights in October and hopefully I won't have the same issues.
Very nice hotel easy to walk to the center. Beautiful room with great staff. This was recommended by my friend and I was happy because I decided to take my family here. Everything was great. Happy to recommend this hotel to everyone
Stayed there for 6 nights on business. Rooms were clean. Staff were polite however, we had a major communication issue when I tried to make some arrangements prior to my arrival. Eventually it all ended well but it did not look very professional and it could have been avoided with a bit of good will and straight-forwardness. The biggest disappointment is that at the 4-star hotel restaurant you cannot eat anything else but breakfast. There is vending machine with refrigerated sandwiches next to reception so that's your only option if you arrive late and hungry. There were some restaurants within walking distance but bear in mind that it's not Manhattan and the chef is likely to finish work at 9pm. The hotel bar closes at 11pm. You can get a pizza there if you are lucky which means if there is not a long queue because they have one literally toy oven and it takes hours to first defrost the pizza, then put toppings on it and bake it again. The bar is tiny and fills up with 40 people so be prepared. The only bar tender would pause to serve drinks when she's preoccupied with baking pizza so be patient. The only good thing is that the hotel is adjacent to the World Forum congress center so you've got it on your doorstep. I would not recommend this hotel for leisure stay. Leave it to people on business as usually they have no choice.
I've stayed there for 2 nights, actually it was my first time at the Hague that's why i wasn't staying at the Hotel for long time, i was buried by list of places to visit, so far so good, the only comment i have is that in my booking the room with bathtub but after checkin i found it with shower not tub, actually i didn't speak to the reception about that but if you do care about this just double check with them on booking the room so you don't have to speak to them again after getting your room.
This 4-star hotel is very well worth its price. Rooms are relatively large, have very comfortable beds, good amenities and are immaculately clean! Excellent and well prepared breakfast, without being too opulent. Very friendly crew! Good and relatively silent location next to World Forum, with tram no. 1 near, which will take you to Scheveningen and the beach, or to the city, and as far as Delft in the other direction. Highly recommended.
Well, I stayed there as part of an organising team for a Conference happening at the World Forum Centre. The positive - it's adjoining! The negative - you can't access it from inside so take a walk and go in through the front or the back entrance. If you think you want to eat in your room , think again. The only thing that the hotel serves is breakfast. And by the way when i stayed the usual breakfast place was shut and u had to eat at the entrance area of WFC! There are two tiny lifts - only 4/5 people can squeeze in so get ready to wait for at least 5 mins everytime, Because food is not served in the hotel and if you are human enough to feel hungry plz stay at the Marriott which is exactly 5 mins walk away. One definitely good thing is a completely hassle free check in check out. And yes, the staff are and friendly. Before I sign off, if you are claustrophobic avoid this place - the bathrooms are dark grey when u lock yourself in! Can't understand why would anyone try that colour in the lovely city of Hague!
We stayed for city get away with our two kids and a birthday celebration , two extra comfy beds were made up for them. For the b'day kid a surprise was put in the room. Tram stop is close to the hotel, it takes you both to beach and city center. Tickets are available at the hotel counter. Breakfast is pretty decent too, not the extravagant sort as in some of the hotels in the Middle East but still pretty good.
