I had the pleasure of staying here last week. I was unfortunately struck down with Flu and complications during my stay. The staff went above and beyond to help me. Arranged a local doctors appointment, provided me soothing honey and lemon drinks, and were on hand for anything should I need it, and to brighten my day even hand wrote a get well soon card. Their caring nature, patience and kindness they showed to me is beyond anything I have ever experienced with a hotel before. An absolute pleasure and could not rate all the staff highly enough.

This isn't the most glamourous hotel around but is all you need if you have an overnight business trip and need somewhere to stay that is clean. Breakfast is free and typical Dutch style cold continental breakfast.

We were booked into this hotel for 4 nights in October 2017. Having travelled from Schipol airport, this hotel is 50 minutes by train and a 250m from Rotterdam Centraal station arrived at 11:00 which was far too early for our check-in, we were allowed to use the bag drop service they have. We were then free to explore the city. After a lengthy walk and a couple of beers in the numerous bars we returned to check in. The reception staff were very pleasant, very efficient and explained how the breakfast worked. The rooms were well presented and the beds were very comfortable. The view was of a busy road and tram route although it wasn't too noisy. I loved watching the people cycle to work in the mornings. The breakfast was self service continental style and absolutely brilliant. Different choices each morning ensured you never got bored. The hotel is 5 minutes from the train station, 2 minutes from the tram and 3 minutes from the metro. This hotel represents excellent value for money and i will definitely stay here again when i return to Rotterdam.

My stay at this hotel was great. The rooms were nice and clean and it’s location is marvelous as it is close to Central Station and many shopping and eateries nearby. All the staff in the hotel provide good service. Every morning I get greeted and treated like in a 5-Star hotel. But the breakfast that comes with the room was great especially from a service staff, Ms Judeth/Gendal, who in my opinion is an excellent person. She’s attentive and is always making sure that the tables are cleaned and the breakfast spread is well stocked. When approached for some items that I needed, she would locate it and deliver it to my table. That’s a wow factor to me that made this hotel different from the other Holiday Inn Express that I stayed in. Bravo to the team of this great hotel. Will definitely return here to stay in my next visit to Rotterdam.

Didn't expect too much from this hotel because the price is so reasonable. Was very pleasantly surprised that the hotel offered the entire family free breakfast because we had checked in very early. Typical Dutch breakfast was offered, good range and sufficient. Good coffee and amazing herb and fruit infused water. Room was big, we were upgraded for free to a suite with a sofa bed because we had kids. Room and toilet clean. Polite, friendly staff. Definitely will come again! Location is just 5 mins walk from central station, with tram stops in front, super market a three mins walk.

Many of the positive things about this hotel has already been said many times all these years that I've been staying at it. About the good location etc. This time I would like to compliment Mrs. Judith Gerda Silvan who works in the cafeteria. One day I asked this lady something about a fruit. She was so kind to explain and instruct extensively. I noticed that she is very attentive to the people getting breakfast. Some other day she asked me what I thought about the hotel. I told her that I was coming there for years, but this time, just like other hotels I've visited, the housekeeping was not satisfactory, because they kept skipping things and hoping that the visitor doesn't notice etc. The next evening when I came back I found my room extra clean and a card with apologies and some sweets. Except the clean room the rest was not necessary, but was very kind.

This is probably one of the nicer Holiday Inn Express out there-- it's nicer than some Crowne Plazas I've stayed in, and not all that far off the Hilton across the street. It's a short walk from the Central Station and pretty inexpensive, so really perfect if you are just passing through Rotterdam for work or a quick weekend. Free wifi, nice common area, friendly staff. Hard to fault really.

Continually had to go to reception for our door keys to be reprogrammed, the last time was about 1:30 in the morning and the receptionist had a guy in the reception, they were arguing about getting another beer and the bar being closed, I was speaking to the receptionist and the customer kept on interfering with my request and conversation, it seemed the receptionist knew the guy, I asked him to stop interfering in my conversation with the staff and he became frighteningly close to us and threatening and the situation got very heated between the guest and us, the receptionist done nothing to stop this and we became aware it was getting out of control, the security was no where to be seen. The pillows and bed were very uncomfortable and we would not stay here again. Won’t stay with IHG hotels again.

Hotel very central to train station Welcoming reception area and courteous staff Clean and tidy hotel Nice decor and reliable lift service Continental Breakfast served from 6:30am Child friendly Good internet connection Overall a very pleasant stay

I spent 4 nights at the Holiday Inn Express Rotterdam in late September / early October 2017. This is a medium to large, modern hotel, close to the city centre. The location makes it easy to get to anywhere you need to in the Rotterdam area - it's about 5 minutes walk from Centraal station, and there's a metro station (Stadhuis) about 2 minutes away. Check in went smoothly, and I was given a room on the 5th floor. The room I had was very comfortable - nice bed, well fitted bathroom, TV, tea / coffee making facilities. Slight disappointments were lack of cupboard space - there were 6 hangers and a couple of shelves (no drawers or enclosed wardrobe), no safe, and no opening windows. Apart from this, everything was great. The room was cleaned and made up daily (by the way I bumped into the cleaning staff once, and they were friendly and courteous), and all fittings worked perfectly. The rest of the hotel is fine. There is a buffet breakfast included, which I found very much to my taste. There was always someone available on reception, and everyone I dealt with was extremely pleasant, and I felt that they went out of their way to help in whatever way they could. There is a small bar next to the reception, with draft and bottled beer, wines and spirits, and I found this to be reasonably priced, and of good quality. The reception / bar area has plenty of comfortable seating, and a work station area with computers available if you need to quickly google something. Overall, I think this hotel is great if you're in Rotterdam for a couple of nights on a business trip, but maybe a little basic for a holiday.
