We had a problem as our flights got cancelled due to bad weather. I called Marriott who managed to hold our room for us as we managed to make arrangements to come the next day. Taking the train was the best option as the Marriott was literally right opposite which was great. We had a convention so was very busy, but the hotel was lovely. Beautifully decorated modern room, good size and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was lovely with a full buffet. Gym was adequate. I would say this is one of the better hotels in Rotterdam. Highly recommend for anyone visiting.

We stayed here for two nights on a city break. Flew in to Amsterdam Schipol and it was super easy to get to this hotel. It only took about 30 mins from the airport via train and once we got to Rotterdam the hotel was right outside the station, so very handy! Our room was a decent size and nice and light. Only complaint would be that when we stayed the weather was warm and so our room became very hot. Had the a/c on the whole time but to little effect, we mentioned it to reception and it seems it's a common problem with the hotel. We would however stay here again when next in Rotterdam.

Staying here last year, the hotel was in transition to Marriott management. I have to say that the hotel is improved in service and amenities. Even though they could not honor my auto upgrade as a gold member, the room they gave me was great - large, well laid out and comfortable. The services worked perfectly (laundry, business center) and the restaurant (breakfast) featured an excellent buffet. The lobby bar has a terrific bartenders and i learned a lot about Jenever - maybe too much knowledge!

This is our first stay of Marriott, I am not sure if it's the standard of Marriott Hotels, if so, it would be disappointed. As an international 5 star hotel, the price is relatively cheap with the following positive points: 1. the location is quite good, just opposite to the central train station, however, there's no cover and if it's raining, u got to get an umbrella. 2. Spacious room size, which is enough for you to open more than 2 large luggages on the floor at the same time 3. Nice restaurants within walking distance 4. Good hardware setup of the hotel 5. Most of the staffs are friendly 6. Acceptable for breakfast food quality, esp fresh herbal tea 7. Fond farewell Negative side: 1. We've got a rude welcome - long face without helpful response, don't worry, that's not discrimination from her, as we kept walking ups and downs after check-in, she still didn't smile and kept her long face. 2. Rooms to improve for the hotel maintenance 3. Rooms to improve for the restaurant serving standard (e.g. no one cleaning the table, serving with a shorter spoon than the latte glass) 4. Rooms to improve for the housekeeping quality, e.g. Different refill standard from different staffs, like bottled water You get what you pay for. I would rank this hotel as 3.5 stars. However, as the whole package, if I've got a chance to go back to Rotterdam, I will choose to stay in the hotel again.

Stayed for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Very comfortable rooms and very good service. The location is superb and you can pretty much walk to all the best spots in Rotterdam + the railway station is less than 100m away.

My office being a 2 min walk, this is the third time I give this hotel a chance. Every time a different issue.... this time, hottest day of the year and room is 30c!!! I go to reception to ask for a fix or another room and was told its too hot outside so aircon doesn't cope. I could have a fan instead.... really??????? whilst I accepted the fan (the room was like a sauna), this is a completely inappropriate solution for this level of hotel. Sorry Marriott Rotterdam, I do wanted you guys to do well, but this is a last time stay :(

Positives: - The service was good. They let us checkout a little bit later, without charging us extra. - Breakfast was fine too, with allot of different stuff to choose from. - bathroom was fine looking, with small bottles of shampoo and shower gel standing ready for use. - the hotel is located in the centre of Rotterdam. With the Rotterdam central station across the street. Which is traveling on foot easy and doable. Negatives: -The furniture in the room was outdated and had stains and scratches all over it. The same is to say about the carpet in the room. - The ventilation system in the bathroom didn't really do anything. So when showering for a few minutes, it became very muggy. - there is no power socket located next to the bed. Also, there are just 3 power sockets in the room you can get to. So powering more then 3 devices is going to be a problem. Overall a not too bad experience, but there are way nicer and cheaper hotels in the neighborhood. Mainport hotel for example.

The service is super Staff takes care of you like family, the food amazing, the rooms very comfortable and clean. Loved my stay in the hotel definitely I will go back for my business trips in Holland.

Top end hotel well placed opposite the main train station and close to city centre with countless restaurants etc Room was superb and staff as one would expect polished attentive and late morning check out a bonus. Perfect though expensive but a 5 star hotel and you get what you pay for!

Great stay, I like that the hotel is really close to the station and close to the places to visit ! Kevin at check in was very nice and helpful ! A very nice city to see something very different from The rest of the Netherlands !
