We enjoyed our stay even though the shower floors were very slippery, in fact one of us fell. We told the front desk but not sure if that situation has changed.....be very careful as there are no grab bars to hold on to as well. Was not crazy about the breakfast setup as you don't have options for hot breakfast. They give out discount coupons at the front desk for a couple restaurants. Hotel very clean and staff great.

Be aware that building work being carried out around (and perhaps to) the hotel, Rotterdam appaeras to be never finished and building work everywhere but still a graet location

We loved the James Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was wonderful. The bed was incredibly comfortable, allowing for a good night’s sleep. Would definitely stay there again.

A really nice hotel. I had a top floor room with an amazing view, but even without that, the staff are lovely, everyone is friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and it's in an ideal location for exploring central Rotterdam. No real downsides - there's no restaurant (though there is a pay-as-you-go breakfast bar) and it can occasionally be noisy outside as it's in the city centre. But it's a great place and I'd happily come back to stay here again.
