Checking in was easy with Roos and Annouck at the reception. They held our luggage until our check in. The adjacent food hall was great all kinds of food options. We had trouble getting in our room. It was 120 but I read it as 170. Of course our key wouldn’t work on that one, but there were 2 people cleaning a nearby room and was very helpful to us and walked us to our correct room. Their names are Hanae and a guy jaellah. Also Pedro Francisco assisted us with a corkscrew for the bottle of wine I had ordered for our room. Walking distance to cruise terminal the next day was simple. Directly across the street. Outstanding stay

I stayed at the Room Mate Bruno Hotel in Rotterdam for five nights during my 2025 trip to the Netherlands, eager to reconnect with a friend and explore the city and beyond. The hotel proved to be the perfect base for my adventures; just a short walk from the iconic Erasmus Bridge and directly opposite the cruise terminal. Its prime location near Wilhelminaplein Metro/Tram station made getting around the city incredibly convenient. Plus, an Albert Heijn supermarket right behind the hotel made it easy to pick up essentials. Within walking distance, I enjoyed visiting the Fenix Museum, Fenix Food Factory, and exploring the vibrant bars and restaurants around Rijnhaven Harbour area. A major highlight was Foodhallen Rotterdam, directly connected to the hotel lobby; a spacious, industrial-style space offering a diverse array of food stalls. It’s a culinary haven in one lively spot, making dining both fun and effortless. The hotel itself is modern and well-maintained, with contemporary facilities. The lobby kiosk was a particularly thoughtful touch, adding to the convenience. My room (274) was spotless and furnished with a plush, comfortable bed that guaranteed restful nights. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would not hesitate to return to Room Mate Bruno. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Rotterdam!

Mind The Front Entrance Stairs

Fantastic location if you’re boarding a cruise ship in Rotterdam…literally right across the street. The downside: The front entrance is a set of wide and treacherous concrete steps with no handrail. Danger awaits schleping your suitcases up these 5-6 steps, especially for older folks like me (75). There is no other way to access the hotel. Rooms were fine and bed comfortable. Amenities good and as expected. Bonus: The lobby is attached to a food hall with a good variety of food and beverage options. Hotel staff excellent! Plenty of eating options nearby and very scenic walking in the area. Hotel breakfast buffet very expensive at 20 Euros per person per day.

Rocked in Rotterdam

This hotel was in a really good spot, close to the water and seemed like a popular spot for cruise people. It was a block and half away from the metro and tram which ran regularly all day and night. A grocery store was close about a 15min walk away. There were several tourists spot close as well. Particularly the Fenix museum which was really nice. Reception was modern with plenty of seating and infused water with small snacks loaded in the am. The fitness center had everything for a workout except for a floor mat which wasn't essential since I brought my travel yoga mat. The room was nice with the coffee in the room. Black out curtains were great for the early morning sunrise even though it wasn't sunny every day of me trip. I got an upgrade to a bigger room but the partion for the bathroom didn't really work. I was staying alone so it didn't matter. Overall I would recommend because it was quiet and clean as well as accessible to the city but not overcrowded with tourists for early June. I went for a record label annivsary party and had a great time in Rotterdam.

I came as a solo female traveler for Twitchcon and it was perfectly positioned near to the tube/underground/subway. I had a technical issue with my phone and the staff bent over backwards to help me fix it

This was a great place for a cheap, 2 night easy stay in rotterdam. Location - 10/10! this is easily accessible to the metro and trams, which unlocks all rotterdam! Would be very easy for the cruise port as well as a pre-cruise hotel. Service - 10/10! Everyone I interacted with was kind, friendly, and answered all my questions promptly. Room -5/10. I was “upgraded” to a comfort room. However, the room was not the cleanest, with plenty of stains on the carpet and walls, a bathroom with illy stocked bottles of toiletries, and an interesting smell radiating from the room that did thankfully go away. I also had an “interior” room, meaning my room didn’t get much natural light. Overall, if I once again found a cheap nightly rate, I’d stay again!
