We have been in a quiet romantic and comfortable stay for 3 nights . Every thing OK, Breakfast is a pleasure. Barbra is the icon of the front disc. Shopping !!! Across the door is the "Passage" all you want is there for affordable prices.
I have stayed at this hotel around 6 times in the last 7 months for business. I like the location, the staff, the rooms and the wifi is decent. The breakfast is good in my opinion. However on this visit I have for the first time had the unfortunate luck of being put in a room that over looks The Passage (for those that don't know it's an indoor shopping avenue that stays open long after the shops have closed. It is now 9.55 pm and I am still listening to the shouts and noises of those walking though or are hanging about the entrance. Last night I had to listen to some one singing either busking or in one of the cafes for 2 hours- she was very good but I was trying to prepare for a presentation - far from ideal. I will actually not come back here again until they properly sound proof these particular rooms - I know I can probably request to not be in one but it's not guaranteed and when you are working long hours on a business trip it's a risk I am not preparing to take. Sorry Novotel you had been my preferred place to stay in The Hague before but not after the last 3 nights and will also warn my colleagues at Shell also. Spend some money soundproofing those rooms and I'll be back in a heartbeat
The location of this hotel is convenient, but the hotel itself is bleak and unwelcoming. The decor throughout is tired. Our room on the fifth floor was adequate but poky. Shower but no bath. It was absolutely freezing when we arrived and even after fiddling with the air conditioner it remained cold throughout our stay. Parking is a problem (we left our car in a park and ride on the edge of town and caught a tram into the centre). The wifi is worthless, although you can apparently pay extra for an upgraded service. They tried to charge us for a breakfast we didn't have. We would definitely come back to The Hague, which is a terrific place, but we won't be staying in this hotel. The one thing we will say, it is quiet for a city centre hotel.
Good quality hotel right across the parliament. It offers different types of rooms, and some are really great viewing the inside of an old shopping gallery. It also offers parking on site, but you will have to drive with your car in the elevator. Don't be scared ;-)
The hotel has a fantastic location and probably that is why they get away with the poor customer service. We booked a executive room, however they claimed that there was a bug in the system and they overbooked the type if room. They simply said they would discount 15euros and put us in a small room. There was never an apology or try to do good by us. The difference in price in the website is 40euros instead of 15. We got up to 25 after challenging, still no interesting to do right by us. It is also disappointing because they knew we were coming as they replied to us that may no accommodate our early check-in however they did not mentioned that they were going to cheat us with the room. Very disappointed.
Totally amazing suite, the junior suite which consists of a very large room with king sized bed and twin sofa bed and 2 arm chairs also in the room.good sized storage space and we'll equipped bathroom with corner bath and full sized shower room with separate toilet room.power points and internet connections all round the suite with cable tv and good wifi connection. The best thing about the suite was the view from all of the Windows including the huge main window which looked directly over the inside corridors of the passage shopping centre. Totally helpful staff especially the night manager who upgraded us to the junior suite after being screewed by booking . Com for getting it wrong again at midnight with 2 young kids. Thanks. 5 star even though it says 4 on the door ,we'll worth a look. Also they have an underground car park with a lift that takes your car down under the hotel and you just get out and take your things up to reception without any fuss or hassle, quite unusual but fun ,the underground car park is only €22 per day which is a fair bit less than city car parks.
Great location for The Hague. The lobby area appears rather new and the breakfast is very good. I received a free upgrade to an 'executive suite', which is a nice gesture. However, in this hotel that just means a larger room, but still very spartan and slightly tired. The rooms really could do with a refurbish. On the weird side: the hotel called me (on my home phone number no less) a few hours before arrival with the message that my booking would be cancelled unless if I called within an hour to reconfirm my credit card details. Good thing someone was home and managed to get hold of me within the hour. In all my years of travelling this is a first. When I arrived at the hotel and asked about this I received a pretty strange explanation: they just wanted to see if and when I would arrive - still don't understand what it was all about.
lovely large clean room (with kettle !!! very welcome addition) with "unusual" bathroom. main attraction for this hotel is its location - right next to De Passage and opposite the Binnenhof - with many restaurants, bars and shops very close by. Breakfast was the usual fayre - although on our last day (of three nights) they did appear not to be able to keep up with the relatively high demand for food as some trays did appear to be empty of food for quite some time. Nevertheless a very good hotel in an excellent location.
This hotel has a great location in the middle of Den Haag City. The hotel is very well decorated and the staff is very nice. We only stayed for one night, the room was quite tight for us traveling with four children but the rate was excellent it worked well for us. We parked our car under the hotel which was convenient as well.
The biggest plus point about this hotel is its location. This hotel is located next to the very famous " De Passage". The best coffee and chocolate place " Hop and Stork" is right there too. Rooms are decent and clean. Courteous staff and helpful too. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it
