Texas is famous for its sheer size – it’s the largest state in the Lower 48 – so naturally it’s home to lots of wide-open spaces. Texas Hill Country is a blend of rugged hills, caverns, and rivers. It’s also home to some of the best Texas campgrounds, including those in Garner State Park. South Padre Island, on the coastal tip of Texas, is the site of some of the state’s best beaches.
Many Texas RV parks offer fantastic facilities, including full hook-ups, fire pits, and swimming pools. Popular RV resorts with helpful staff can be found across the state, including those near Glen Rose and New Braunfels.
San Antonio is the second largest city in Texas and is famous for being the site of the Alamo. It’s also home to a vibrant arts scene, championship golf courses, and a series of connecting path and waterways known collectively as the River Walk. Outside the city lies the Guadalupe River, a great destination for fishing and finding many RV parks.
