We stayed here for 1 night stays for the last two years whilst skiing in the resort close by. Bedrooms are of good quality and each individually styled with extremely comfortable beds. Food was good in the restaurant and staff friendly. Would recommend to anybody.
Our one-night stay at the Posada de Mosqueruela felt like a romantic hide-out. The hotel, right on the main square, was deserted when we arrived, but someone came to let us in as soon as we called. The hotel is luxurious and modern, and our room was spacious, with lots of amenities. However, I would not recommend staying in the off-season. The village was like a ghost town, and the Posada's restaurant, which we had been looking forward to, was closed for the season. Still, we enjoyed walking around the medieval walls, and eventually found dinner in the only other restaurant in town. If I were to return, I would plan on hopping around the nearby villages more, and coming during a busier time of year!
We stayed in the San Cristobel suite which was huge, beautifully decorated and easy to maintain a constant temperature, although I don't know where the heat came from - it was the quietest air-conditioning I've ever experienced. The whole room oozed high quality - lighting, soft furnishings, decorative elements etc. The beds were soft yet supportive and the pillows weren't too high. The bathroom was luxurious and big enough for two to use at the same time - two hand basins, separate shower room and toilet room. The heated towel rail was a bonus as it's controlled from inside the room. There were slippers and robes provided, and a complimentary bottle of Spanish bubbly in the minibar. Water is complimentary too. The wifi is good and fairly quick. Breakfast is served at the table, not a buffet, and the espresso coffee is good. The Posada is right in the middle of the walled town of Mosqueruela so it's easy to walk around the walls, in and out of the various gates, and through the winding streets, reading the signs on the buildings of interest. There was a problem with parking in the square the weekend we stayed, so Agustin, the concierge, kindly took us to his own garage to park our car. I suspect that the parking problem could become a permanent one which could mean you can only park in the side streets as the Posada is inside the square and the road is blocked with bollards. Some short-comings, though - there were no tissues, body cream or hair conditioner provided. No English speaking channels on the TV and little English spoken throughout the hotel - one waiter each night and often no-one in the mornings. The breakfast is average - no fresh fruit and mainly hard toasts with jam, plus a plate of meats and some cheese. The OJ is fresh. We were only offered eggs on one day of our stay. The food in the restaurant is good value but far too salty which spoils its flavour and the menu is only in Spanish.
A perfect experience, both the hotel and the restaurant. A very nice small boutique hotel that will let you experience a unique time thanks to amazing, uniquely decorated rooms, a relaxing spa and a fantastic restaurant (try the "polpo" with potatoes!). We stayed for 2 nights and we absolutely loved it!
The hotel it's very nice, beds are so comfortable, peaceful and clean. The restaurant is above expected, they really take care. Service...just awesome, they know how to treat you, very helpful. A perfect place to relax and feel like at home
This place is absolutely magical. We stayed for two nights in August and were spoiled by the comforts of this warm and cozy spot. Located in the very center of the city, the boutique hotel is perfect for a romantic getaway. We stayed in the top floor loft, and enjoyed it so much. The restaurant below was the highlight of our trip. My boyfriend is from Spain and even commented that it was some of the best cuisine he's every had. The gazpacho is to die for! Enjoy this place with someone special and then spend the days wandering around the village and hiking through the mountains. The spa is also very nice - spend an evening there after a long day!
We stayed a night at this wonderful place on our round trip in the mountains of South Aragon. The room was splendid, the dinner at the restaurant guided by local wine lived up to all of our expectations and the hosts did everything to make our stay perfect. We will be back.
A suprising place in a small town in the middle of nowhere in Teruel province. Travelling with my 2 brothers and my son to visit new fun roads and scenery. Arrived in Mosqueruela mid afternoon and were very wellcomed by the owners wife. She showed ua to our rooms (3 suites) and we were amasingly surprised to find a great decor, very ample rooms, comfortable beds, quiet space, ample bathrooms, great showers.... The owners were also extremely friendly as the town was having its ''Fiesta'' and we were reluctant to leave 2 big motorbikes and my high end sports car on the street. Agustin, the owner, allowed us to garage them in his home about 5 minutes walk away. A big weight off our minds with all the night revellers around !! We also had dinner at the restaurant and were again pleasently surprised by the good quality of the food and presentation. Had various starters (Ham from Teruel, cheese, ...), lamb cutlets and deboned leg of lamb....delicious. With some pretty good Emilio Moro wine. The restaurant was under Agustin's daughter's care ...very professional and helpful. Breakfast was also very good with a variety of fresh produce. All in all a wonderful experience. Well done Agustin and family.
For those who are looking for some rest and peace; great posada with spacious splendid rooms; the owner is very kind and friendly but only speaks Spanish. The restaurant serves good food. The posada is just next to the church, so easy to find. (attitude +- 1500m)
Volveremos Familia. Pd. En nosotros tenéis unos nuevos amigos.
