The Spirit House was clean, comfortable & convenient (Great Location (literally a short block away from the Starlight Theater Restaurant), the Kitchen was terrific, well stocked with pots, pans & utensils, even had a full size oven & refrigerator.We have stayed at Eby managed properties in Terlingua for years & both the properties & hosts have always met/exceeded our expectations!

Clean, comfortable and convenient. Loved that the house was straw bale and loved the use of available materials and reused building materials.Kitchen had everything needed for cooking meals. Great porch with views.

We loved the house. The decor and attention to detail were great!

This was our first time visiting a desert area. We loved being able to walk to the old cemetary, ghost town and restaurants. Close to Big Bend Nat. Park where we did a lot of exploring

Great stay

Great place in a great walkable location. It was exactly as advertised. The hosts were quick to respond to our questions. I will look for this place for my next stay.

The property was perfect for our getaway! It was quiet and we enjoyed sitting on the porch after a day of hiking and site seeing and watching the sunrise the next day. Thank you for safe, comfortable place to stay.

Great Stay

the House is beautiful, super clean, owners super responsive . Can't say enough about how cool Spirit House stay was. Walking distant to food and shops.Once again really clean inside, everything a person might need for a overnight or extended stay. We really enjoyed it !

Peaceful Oasis

We loved this place! It was comfortable and peaceful, and cuter than you can tell by the pictures. The light from the high windows is lovely. The location is terrific. We saw the Milky Way from the front yard every morning when we got up early to hit the trails in Big Bend before it got hot.

The property was a perfect location in Terlingua. There were 2 great restaurants within walking distance from the house. It had a coffee maker with ground coffee provided, and creamer and sweeteners. Only a short drive to Big Bend. I would stay here again any time.

Great Terlingua, TX Ghost Town Lodging

Very rustic and comfortable. just a couple of blocks from Starlight Theater and only 6 or 7 miles from the entrance to Big Bend National Park. Approximately 50 miles, across big bind to the US Border Crossing station to Boquillas del Carmen.

My son and I stayed at Spirit House for a week of Spring Break hiking in Big Bend. Spirit House was perfect for us; great location in Terlingua Ghost Town and very short drive to west entrance to Big Bend. The property was as-described and very clean. It had more than enough utensils to cook breakfast and pack lunches in the morning before venturing out for the day. Its location in Terlingua meant we only needed to park and then just enjoy the location in the evening.I highly recommend the food at the To Die For Food Truck and DBs Rustic BBQ. I really enjoyed a cold brew and live blues-rock at The Boat House after a day of hiking. We enjoyed the ambiance and history of The Starlight Theater (food was good here, but not as good as the other options, and not worth the 2 hour wait it seems to draw every night).After dinner, my son and I would pull the chairs into the side yard and watch the sky transition from sunset to twilight to night sky. Fantastic star gazing!The internet was high speed and made it super simple to plan the next day's adventure over sodas under the stars.I highly recommend for a traveling couple.

This property has a wonderful porch to enjoy coffee in the morning, and wine, etc in the evening. The shower is large and plenty of towels. The bed was comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. Explicit instructions provided for checkout. Plus sent us instructions how to get to the place, gps will not work. We hiked in Big Bend while staying at this home.

Great front porch, quirky location

Comfortable, very clean 1 BR house in Terlingua. Kitchen well-stocked for cooking at home. Very good grocery store in Study Butte. Suggest improved kitchen lighting. Pots and pans, knives, and dishes all good quality. Interesting community with a history of recreating itself as the mines closed and population dispersed. Great location for a week of hiking at Big Bend Natl Park.

Great location, very quite, walking distance to restaurants/bar. TV wasn’t used, but not sure if possible? needed instruction on use? The light over dining room table has broken chain, overall I would return/ recommend to friends
