A charming, detached, weather-boarded cottage, set in a secluded location on the edge of the histori
A warm welcome awaits, with a lovely entrance hall flooding the space with light from the modern roof lantern. Wander through to a spacious breakfast kitchen, with floor to ceiling glazed panels and door to the pretty terrace, garden and countryside beyond. Ideal in all seasons, the cosy sitting room, focusing around the wood burning stove, spills into another dining area for family suppers or a romantic dinner à deux! And if it's the romance of France you long for, a hop across the Channel and you're there. A single-storey dwelling with two lovely bedrooms including a king-size and a twin with the option of super-king, both having access to their own bathroom, one to the family bathroom with a free-standing bath, and the other enjoys its own wet room. A useful playroom/study provides a quiet spot to catch up on some work; or a rowdy room for the children to enjoy the Nintendo Wii!
Overlooking fields and woodland, this pretty weather-boarded cottage is peacefully situated at the end of a grassy track. Surrounded by enclosed gardens with heavily scented old roses, the terrace provides garden furniture and there is plenty of space for summer living, with room to kick a football around, along with plenty of parking.
Tucked away on the edge of the village of Wittersham, there is plenty to occupy in the area. Wine connoisseurs will delight in being just 5 minutes drive from one of England's finest vineyards, Chapel Down, where visitors can take guided tours of the vineyard and winery (including tasting of course); or even lease their own vines! Take a nostalgic steam train journey back in time on the Kent and East Sussex Railway, including a stop at Bodiam Castle, a magnificent 14th-century moated castle. Or enjoy a day at the beach and explore the golden sandy dunes of Camber Sands, less than 10 miles away. Closer to home, there are some wonderful walks straight from the cottage across the surrounding fields and orchards.
Whether you're looking for a secluded romantic bolthole or a fun packed family holiday, Tufton Croft has it all.
Additional Information: Children and infants welcome. Travel cot and highchair available on request. One well-behaved dog welcome (small additional charge). Two Televisions, one with Freeview, two DVD players, a Nintendo Wii and digital radio with iPod adapter.
The cottage is heated and features a kitchen and 2 bathrooms, and there's space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fireplace, and an ironing board.

Cosy cottage
I took my 87 year old Mother to Tufton Croft for a birthday celebration.
Lovely location and beautifully decorated, cosy cottage. Very impressive welcome hamper!
For the less able, it would have been nice to have had a handle in the walk in shower room.
Otherwise we had a wonderful weekend.

Gorgeous cottage in beautiful Kent countryside. The cottage was exceptionally clean and very welcoming, with a lovely flow between rooms. Fantastic outdoor sitting space and garden from kitchen French doors. Great access to country walks. Lovely soaking bath and fun to light a fire in the living room for cozy evenings.
We loved it!

Really lovely home from home. Like the layout all on one level and great space.
Great part of the world. Feels like you are properly in the sticks and yet 25 mins to coast. Love the gift hamper and dog biscuits, that was hugely appreciated. We felt very at home in Tufton very quickly. We were there when it was super hot so would have appreciated a fan and an umbrella for some shade with the outside table. Otherwise the house really did have everything we needed. Highly recommend Tufton!
