Big spacious rooms located in a place right in front of the lake. Couldn’t ask for a better view, spent most of the time on the patio furniture outside. Only reason for taking away 1 star is that TV didn’t work for the two nights we were there and since there is not much to do after nightfall, had to watch movies on our phones.

The motel is situated in a convenient location. All the shops and restaurants are just a few minutes drive away. The unit is a bit dated but it suited our needs just fine. We had an array of teas to choose from. Milk and water bottles were also provided which was a nice touch. Quite a few places provide makeup wipes but the room came with a small bottle of cleanser which was really nice to use. The view from the room was very nice. It was relaxing to gaze at the view while eating breakfast. However, the balcony isn't exactly private. It's just 1 long balcony shared by all the units with chairs and tables set up to kind of section off each unit. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay.

Unfortunately the WiFi was being repaired. However the manager comped us a bottle of wine and $50 for gas, and came to personally apologize. That was beyond expectations and worthy of a good review.

The balcony over of my first floor apartment overlooked beautiful Lake Te Anau. The Motel is located within an easy walk to the town centre and is an ideal base to explore Fiordland National Park and Milford Sound.

The rooms and grounds are so nice. The hotel is right across the street from the lake and even has a sitting area to watch the sunset. Highly recommend if you are staying in Te Anau.

We had a lovely stay. The location by the lake is lovely. The room was spacious and clean and had everything we needed. Great value for money. We were in an upstairs room with a balcony that had great views of the lake. Even though the road is near the front of the hotel it was very quiet.

We chose this hotel due to the closer access to the sounds but ended up falling in love with Te Anau! You have to visit the Redcliff restaurant if you stay here. The apartment we stayed in was huge, I never knew how much I needed a LayZ boy chair until I stayed here. The towels were big and fluffy, unlike anywhere else we stayed during the three weeks. The lady on the front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful. I just wish we’d stayed longer, two nights wasn’t enough. Views of the lake were great. We spoke with other guests who also loved their stay. Only downside would be no washing facilities in room but there is a laundry room on site.
