Loved our overnight stay in Taos at the Palacio de Marquess. We stayed in the Dorothy Brett Romantic Room. Loved the kiva fireplace and spacious dual headed shower. Shaun was a warm knowledgeable and gracious host.
From the moment we checked in Shawn greeted us and showed us around giving us the history behind each room and the property. Shaun pointed out where to find everything we needed. He also helped us choose our breakfast which we would need to do for each day that we stayed. The best check in experience that we’ve ever had. The space was just what we hoped for....a romantic getaway. When we needed extra coffee or firewood for the room Shaun took care of that. Being able to use the spa at the El Monte was amazing. So relaxing! Breakfast in our room was a nice treat and the social aspect of having breakfast with the other guests was really enjoyable. Lauren was delightful! It was easy to get downtown and to everywhere we wanted to go. We didn’t want to leave.
The rooms are elegant. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was wonderful. This is a very small hotel converted from a former residence. High ceilings, adobe walls, private entrances to most rooms, very quiet. Each room is dedicated to a woman who was influential in the arts in the region. This gives extra meaning to a beautifully designed establishment. We look forward to returning.
Yes this is a B&B. No it does not have air-conditioning. This was a last minute get away for my husband and I so we booked the Diva room for 2 nights. The staff was more than friendly and accommodating. The room did get warm during the day but it has 2 windows a ceiling fan and another portable fan to cool you off at night. I can't wait to come back in the winter and light the fireplace. The bed is comfortable, the shower huge and plenty of closet space. The most enjoyable was the breakfast delivered to your door with French pressed coffee. Delicious each time. We visit Taos pretty regularly so we are familiar with the location. I'm so glad we couldn't get in to our normal hotel. We will be back for sure. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
We stayed in a suite, the room was generous in size with a shared patio, beautifully decorated room, delightful staff and grounds were well taken care of. Waking distance to the plaza and shops in town. Loved the fact that there was no “Nickel and dimming” everything was included in the price, including breakfast delivered to the room.
Beautiful place! What ashame we could only stay one night. Great hospitality, beautiful room and main area. Wonderful, cooked to order breakfast. Loved our stay here, even if it was short. Highly recommend!
We booked last minute and were able to get a room here. Stayed in a very romantic suite with a beautiful double walk-in shower. The bed was great quality mattress and bedding as well. Room was very clean with very nice furniture (high quality). The entire facility was gorgeous and very well maintained. Breakfast was chef prepared and incredible. Staff was extremely accommodating/helpful and very polite. We'll definitely be back!
We only stayed one night; but wish it had been more. The property is secluded by design even thiugh it is near downtown. The rooms are beautifully designed, appointed and maintained. The real difference is the staff...THEY ARE WONDERFUL. It is worth a trip to Taos just to stay here. Oh, and did I mention the made to order breakfast in our room. Superb!

The Palacio de Marquesa was just wonderful! The setting is gorgeous. Quiet, surrounded by 200 year old trees and beautiful gardens. We stayed in the Icon room which was luxurious, surrounding us in comfort and beauty. We had a delicious breakfast served to us when ordered which we enjoyed on our small private patio. And over it all was our host Shaun who made sure everything was perfect and epitomized hospitality
