Pool was not open and not communicated to be the case. Staff was adequate but for a luxury hotel not what would be expected. Shuttle arrangements were messed up with no apologies. Library was hot and dark and used glasses were on the tables for multiple days. Very disappointed

The hotel advertised on their homepage a pool and wellness center so we splurged the $440/night to stay and relax by the pool for a couple days. We got in at 11pm and woke up to find out the pool facilities were still closed down. We asked for a refund and the manager was not accommodating, but hopefully Orbitz will do the right thing. I spent literally hours on the computer and phone with the hotel company and orbitz and it ruined our day in Taos. I am still dealing with this, trying to get my money back for the misrepresentation. Out of principle, I would never consider supporting this company again.

The pool, hot tub, spa, restaurant and bar were all closed and unavailable but I still paid a resort fee. Also, my suite did not include a hot tub, which was shown as included by Orbitz. The WiFi was spotty at best in my suite. The best part was Ashley - the valet/bellman. Excellent employee, provided a wealth of information, friendly and professional.

El Monte Sagrado is a great place to relax and unwind, it is so quiet and peaceful yet within walking distance of the historic district. I love the balcony and view of the grounds from the Taos Mountain rooms. That giant bathtub is the stuff of dreams! This was my 2nd time staying there and I plan to return again and again. On my wishlist, I feel they should have microwaves in the rooms. The restaurant was closed so it would have been nice to be able to heat up my leftovers. I also wish that they had smart tv as an option so guests can log into their Netflix or Hulu or what have you. Another thing is they could get rid of or reduce the resort fee since some of those amenities have been discontinued due to COVID. Overall this is one of my tranquil happy places for a quick getaway and El Monte Sagrado has a repeat guest in me.

Wonderful, relaxing but right in town

Excellent stay in the town of Taos. Beautiful gardens and very nice hotel suite with a very relaxing feel. The room, bathroom and sitting area are in Taos style. The patio with 2 chairs looked at a pond with beautiful flowers and garden. Staff was very attentive and helpful. There were only a few guests due to Covid-19 and the pool and spa where closed. Overall a very nice stay

Par excellent service and ready to do anything to make our stay more enjoyable!

I like taking the family to Taos. I don’t like being switched from a global suite to a regular room.

Paid for room with jacuzzi, but it didn’t work and took staff a day and a half to offer to move us to a new room, after three workers spent several hours in our room trying to fix it, tracking in mud and not cleaning up after themselves. Then after being gone all of one day and returning to our room late in the day, the room was still a mess — no housekeeping had been there for regular daily cleaning and the mud was still all over the floor. The first person they sent to try to fix the jacuzzi was the valet who parked our car (at least he was nice but had no experience fixing a jacuzzi). Maybe it was good the jacuzzi didn’t work because when we started to fill it with water, we noticed there was long black hair all over in it, which we ended up cleaning out ourselves, only to discover the jacuzzi was never going to work anyway. The front desk staff was generally unhelpful, though nice enough, except for one employee in particular (Saturday night front desk) who was extremely rude to us after we were finally offered a room that actually worked. Won’t stay here again if I want to go for the relaxing retreat they advertise, because it was so stressful and sad dealing with their staff and broken facilities... i’m fully aware a lot of people give great reviews of the place — they either got a room that worked and never had to deal with hotel staff, or they are just much nicer people than me and are lying. The place has great potential, but they need to train the staff...

The property is run down and dated. I do not consider it a "4 Star" hotel.

Property layout is great - suites are nice size and quiet. Furnishings are nice and the architectural design/features are wonderful.

Every staff members we met was smiling and friendly. If we needed something they quickly assisted. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. The food and drinks were well prepared and quite delicious.

Amazing, I would definitely come back again! Gorgeous estate and the room was perfect. LOVED the bath tub!
