The staff was very friendly. However, rooms were not as clean as they had been when I stayed there before. Also, the room smelled like smoke, and construction was right outside the window. The front desk staff was great. Nina in the dining area was the best.

Great Staff, that was about it.

Made accommodations a month before staying. Was given a room that was right in front of the common area (which made zero sense. Like, who designed this? The floor above me had severe sub level issues. Very loud. Luckily, was given another room. Pool was closed for the majority of my stay, although a sister hotel was offered. Breakfast was the same every day. The had construction workers working on the surrounding pavement/parking areas. I believe most of them very given rooms and stayed there at night. A little sand/dirt patch next door with lovely Prairie Dogs had brush and litter from people who don't care about the planet.

Not what we expected.

Taos didnt have a lot of choices with decent reviews so we decided to go with a respected name for a higher price with better reviews. We got there and was confronted with one of the cheech and chong brothers explaining our room was overbooked by the "third party" who does this all the time. Fix it woth an upgrade was his solution. Ok... Not really. Tub was gross. Carpets were stained as was the upholstered chair. Bed was poorly made. No cups in the room. No working ice maker could be found. Bed was comfortable on one side only as the frame seemed to be broken. Door to room was not secure when we reached it. Overall a pretty poor experience for the orice we paid. Glad to leave Taos behind us in our travels.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!! Booked. Room here for a few nights in Taos , NM. Pics on site made this property look 250% better than the actual property . Very run down … Pool and hot tub were BOTH out of order .. Stains and tears in couch in room .. hotel was dirty , outdated and in major need of some improvements.. I travel slot and prefer Hilton. This might be the worst hotel I had been to in years … We cancelled upon checking in and were referred to the El Monte Somgrado which was FABULOUS!!!!!!!! It all worked out and thankful for the fabulous young lady working check in at the Hampton. She referred me to the property.

Have not been to Taos since early 80’s loved the food and stay town roads under construction made travel time difficult but hiking wheeler peak was amazing

Meh..won’t stay again.

Stayed on the 2nd floor, during summer. 80+ degrees everywhere inside. It was HOT, part of the sidewalk was broken up and myself and my toddler tripped over loose concrete. The ice machine on our floor was broken, also the vending machine. Bed was super hard, tv was old and very small. Soap and shampoo smelled good though..

Very outdated and not very clean. The carpet grossed me out, the shower was dirty and the bathroom counter was falling off the wall, if you leaned on it too much it may have. There was a puddle of water under the tv and the towels had holes in them. No air conditioning in lobby and parking lot is jacked up. All of this made worse by staff who didn’t seem to care, plenty of them walking around on their phones or talking about personal stuff in front of hotel guests. Tried to check in 20 minutes early, just to be told the room wasn’t ready. The front manager told many people this, had a lobby full of guests, and then took 30 minutes to check them all in when the clock struck 3 (check-in time). After all that, the room that was given to me was one that was clearly ready, right down the hall from the front desk that I was staring at the entire time she made my family wait in the lobby. Nobody walked out of the room as if they were doing a last minute cleaning. Why couldn’t she have just checked us in? Very weird vibe, this outdated Hampton hotel should get new ownership and revamp. Won’t be staying here again.

Nice place but dissapointed that there was’t a hot tub and we couldn’t use the pool. A large amount of boys took over the pool and the one night we wanted to use it - closed :(

My wife and I regularly stay at Hampton Inns because they have a consistent standard of quality. Unfortunately, the Taos Hampton Inn fell way short of that standard. 1) they should train their staff to know about Taos. They were generally clueless. 2) shampoo and vacuum the carpets - we were there six nights and the same crap was in the stairways the entire time. 3) entry doors were missing knobs and hardware. 4) they had signs up “This door is locked at all times for your security” and the doors were constantly blocked open with rocks. 5) people were smoking (not just cigarettes) on the patio with the doors blocked open so the inside common areas were polluted with smoke. We are not nitpicky, we understand that staffing and logistics can be challenging for any motel. But we will never pick the Taos Hampton Inn again.

The room was dirty. The toilet didn’t flush very effectively. The wind whistled through the window most of the evening. Anyone could walk into the hotel and open the stairwell door to access any of the floors - without a key. I historically love Hampton Inn but this was not a particularly great experience.

Great price - worth the money. The facility is a little dated - for example, Isome outlets did not work and the side table was about to fall off of its wall mount. Breakfast was good and the bed was comfortable, so it depends on what's important to you.
