Quality Inn Taos

I've stayed here before, now the owner has taken the bar out of the hotel in order to sell the license wish he would have used the hundreds of thousands to improve the hotel and upgrade it. In the past they served a real hot cooked to order breakfast,, now they serve the same microwave quality scrambled eggs and sausage as the other Quality Inns. Just not the same, OK at best

The hotel rooms need upgrading. The bed was wonderful, had a great night's sleep. Checking in was a pleasure.

Needs serious updating I would not recommend this hotel to anyone

The hotel is located well about 2 miles from the Plaza. The pool was closed for maintenance for the four days of my stay. The staff was friendly and attentive. For the price it was quite adequate.

Hotel is on a main road through town. Hotel is an older building but well maintained. Room showed some wear and tear but was good for the price. Nice pool for the kids. Breakfast was typical hot and cold cereal with hot eggs and bisect also. We would stay again.

A wonderful stay. Comfortable beds, quiet. Breakfast was slow

Clean. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. No worries.

I did have a good stay at this location. The room was very clean, the staff was fantastic and it was a good value.

Lock on bathroom door didn't work, hair dryer didn't stay mounted to wall, bathtub didn't drain well, stains on a towel the first night we got there and we had to slam the front and back doors to the room in order to shut. Pool was nice, toys and such for the kids available, Hot tub closed all but one day of our 4 day stay. BREAKFAST ROCKED!! Great servers, great food and fast! Management lacked as they wouldn't work with us to fix the issue of being placed in a Smoking Room. Originally had booked the room myself but wanted to change the check out date. The manager made us cancel my original and re-book the room instead of adjusting my booking. Something got messed up and they placed us in a smoking room and after that the hotel took no responsibility or even tried to make it up to us even though they made us cancel the original booking.

Great Breakfast and good beds. Staff took care of all our needs. Best price and service.

Q-Inn was an awesome value and great location. Will be back Luv Taos!

Could have been better but would have cost more. Was very acceptable. Ordering complimentary breakfast rather than bland buffett was extra touch.

We were in Taos for a few days to meet with the County Planning Department about building a retirement home in the mountains. The hotel was located on the main street that connects with the plaza, art galleries, shopping, food establishments, and the county offices, etc. The hotel is older but very clean with good views of the mountains. Staff was always helpful too. Good shower with plenty of hot water. Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable! We especially enjoyed the free breakfast (order off a menu) and happy hour at the hotel lounge. Happy hour included free chips and salsa, cheese and crackers, fresh veggies and hot popcorn! We will stay here again when in Taos. Great price with good service!

Mainly positive experience. The complimentary breakfast was SERVED to us at a table in a real dining room, and it was very good food, too -- way above the ordinary motel fare. One complaint: our room's outside door had to be BANGED close. Also, the WiFi was one of those deals where you have to plow through a bunch of advertising to get online, and that's every time you use it.

Four day ski trip to Taos. Hotel was clean. Free hot breakfast in a.m. Free soup in p.m. Employees were all very nice, helpful. Is on the main drag there in Taos. All the shopping and restraunt's aren't more than a few miles away. Good room for the location and price.

Was somewhat disappointed on arrival. Room was clean, but entire fcaility was showing its age. Had stayed in a much nicer hotel the previous night at the same price. The way free breakfast was handled was generous, but didn't really work for us. My wife is a late riser and having to order a full breakfast and eat it in the dining room just didn't work for us. Otherwise we were reasonably comfortable and enjoyed our stay in Taos.

Surprisingly good made-to-order breakfast.

We checked in and went to the room which was as far a way from the desk as possible in a low occupancy hotel. 1st thing we noticed was the lack of secure enterances, walk-right in! 2nd thing was the stale smell of smoke in the hallways. Third was less than clean carpet in the very small vanity area (didn't want to take off our shoes here). Finally there was the low suspended accoustic ceilings. We're out of here! The staff was very pleasant and cancelled our stay without question. Much appreciated. Overall this is a tired facility that needs to be updated.

I thought this place was great, especially for the price! The staff was friendly, the free breakfast was WAY more than donuts and bagels, and it was just a few miles from the center of town. I'd definitely recommend it!

Thank you for your review. The new owner did not remove the bar in order to sell the liquor license. The license was retained by the previous owner and hence, the bar had to go. With that in mind, we are investing great sums of money in making major improvements. New carpet, paint, vanities, fixtures... A new 10'x10' hot tub! I hope that you get the opportunity to visit us again in the near future to see all the improvements first hand. And, there are multiple bars, all in close proximity for you to enjoy. Sincerely, Brian Anderson General Manager
