The pictures do not match reality!

The company that runs this apartment has two units in this building. One is on the top floor and the other is on the floor beneath it. The company shows pictures of the view from the top floor and some pictures of the top floor unit to make the place appear to be more than it is. Additionally, when we arrived they asked me to pay the cleaning fee and city tax. I had prepaid, as I do with all vrbo properties, so I found this unusual. I said put it on my credit card. A couple days later when I pointed out to them the issues with the pictures, the strange charges upon arrival, the lack of a BBQ, among others they became very aggressive. Long story short, the reservation had been brokered through Expedia or some such company(don't like a middle man), they said any gripe I had was with Expedia, my cleaning fee was still due, and they were going to call the police if it wasn't left on the counter when I checked out. I've stayed in dozens of vrbo accommodations and this was the first time I felt deceived.

Great location, clean apartment with nice balcony

Lovely little apartment, close to the town centre and easy walking distance to all the points of interest. The only reasons we didn't rate this apartment more highly were that for 2 days we had no hot water (despite reporting to the local contact), this may have been due to the rain but nevertheless having cold showers on holiday isn't fun. No offer of alternate accommodation or compensation was ever made. Additionally although there is an air-con unit it really didn't cool the air so we had to resort to sleeping with doors and windows open. We still had a lovely stay and Denise the local host was friendly and met us no problem, she was very accommodating when we got delayed.
