To start with I want to say that the rooms were very beautiful and that the staff was absolutely lovely. But there were some downsides: the bathtub was incredibly narrow, which made the experience a lot less relaxing; the swimming pool was under construction; the hotel is quite far from Tangier center. The balcony was not properly cleaned either. The beds, however, were very comfortable, I only paid €40 for a double, and again, the staff really enhanced the experience for me. Pros: Warm and welcoming staff Comfortable beds Beautiful room More than fair price Cons: Swimming pool under construction Narrow bath tub Far from Tangier center Balcony was not properly cleaned
This once thriving hotel was completely empty with new management. Our group appeared to be the only one here. Our guide had not been informed about this and the resulting changes that would occur. Our room was pleasant and clean. Staff were responsive. The plated dinner we were served was delicious. The hotel does need refurbishment. We only stayed over 1 night so weren't trying to get around town from here. Lighting by the bed needs improvement. The sleeping rooms were cold due to the heat not working so we got space heaters.
The hotel has delusions of grandure but is in need of renovation. The carpets in the corridors are threadbare, and paint is peeling off many corners. I could not use the bath or shower as the side of the bath was too high for me to get over. The bed was comfortable, however.
We stayed here for one night as part of a group. This is supposed to be 5* but it definitely is not! Tatty at the edges; paint peeling around the doors, carpets in the corridor were very badly stained and held together with staples, nothing on the TV apart from a film loop about Tulip Hotels. No information in the room or anywhere else about any services in the hotel. Maybe that is because there aren't any! No bottled water in the room, and no glasses/cups either, no alcohol of any sort in the hotel as they have no licence! But worse than that, our bed sheets had not been changed since the previous guest!! No notices in our room or nearby about fire exits. This hotel is not near any restaurants etc. However, good wifi reception, food was quite good and plentiful.
We spent one night here as part of a tour, and were disappointed. It seemed that the only workers were the junior staff (who tried gamely to help serve the meals, manage the luggage, and staff the bar). The hotel had just undergone a change in ownership and it showed the "down at the heels" quality of a property that needed some upgrades: worn and torn carpeting in the hallway, no liquor license yet, and threadbare amenities. We were the only ones to eat at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast, but the meals were good. I think this property will rebound with new ownership once the dust settles.
Not Clean, very dirty, so many things were broken and damaged, you could smell the drainage, Terrible service, majority of the staff did not care for your requirements. Despite always giving poor service still expected tips. Beds were a mess! dirty and smelly. was not even cheap as paid 4 Star rates. I was very stupid for booking this hotel! Only thing that was good was location for me!
Been here for 3 nights on a business trip during a period when the best hotels in town were all over-booked. I was afraid after reading some of the reviews, but I have to say the hotel is perfectly decent, while clearly not a 5-star property. It could be much better than what it is, the ingredients are all there, but unfortunately in many areas execution does not satisfy. The good: - clean and relatively well maintained - good service, staff is always smiley and helpful - location is quiet and not too far from the busy and noisy Corniche. However, if you are after nightlife and buzz after dark, then look elsewhere. The pool area is nice, but pretty much deserted besides residents - Rooms are big, bed is comfortable, balcony a nice plus - Food (breakfast/lunch/dinner) is ok, decent quality, little variety The bad - Staff often does not speak English, so you will have to resort on French if you speak it to some extent - Wifi is patchy at best - Nespresso machine in the room, but never had any capsule or, even, bottled water in the room - Bathrobe disappeared after the first room cleaning and never came back - Bathroom is tiny and the set up guarantees you will create a nice lake after having a shower - TV has virtually no decent channel besides Arabic and French ones - No taxis outside the property nor chauffeur service offered by the hotel I'd say in Europe it would be somewhere in between 3 and 4 stars... I would stay back if the better ones in town are taken... If not and if you are there on business, there are better options
We had a good room overlooking the pool. Large with a nice bathroom. The best part was the breakfast. Awesome buffet! Dinner was also good with helpful waiters. The location was also good, with an ATM nearby.
This was a one night stop on a group tour. Rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful. Bar prices were a little higher than other hotels but not bad. We had a buffet dinner that was good. There is a golf course next door.
Everything was excellent, very nice and polite personal, delicious food. Highly recommended. An experience that was overall positive. I spent my 4 + 3 days holidays in a luxury that I didn't expect and I will soon return to this hotel for more pleasure.
