The hotel is in desperate need of renovation, upgrade, modernization, etc., etc. The carpets are old and dingy; the tv is an old cathode ray tube tv (seriously?!); balcony curtains had holes; shower walls had a heavy layer of soap scum; the shower head was corroded and disgusting looking; our toilet had a leak (to their credit, they fixed it when notified of the problem). Friends stayed at the hotel also. Their room had ants (on the 19th floor!), the shower hose leaked, shower head was also corroded and disgusting looking, etc. Definitely will not stay there again!

Place was a dump in every category cant believe it is still functioning.

Consistent with what everyone else has posted, it’s clean it’s very dated, you’re pretty much paying for the location on the beach. But you really can’t swim in front of the hotel so not sure if it’s worth the location price either. You do have a good view and you can go walking on the beach down to someplace where you can swim. You’re in walking distance from the downtown, but if you want to be closer I’d recommend the Hyatt or one of the other hotels.

It’s a dump-needs to be removed as a lodging. The entire hotel is in a state of disrepair

Pacific Star Resort and Spa seems like it might have been a 4+ star resort in 1970, but I found it worn out and like it had not undergone a serious cleaning or renovation in decades. The lodgings were similar to a Motel 6, with broken, dirty equipment (bed frames, lighting fixtures, tube televisions, etc.) and rusted and dated bathroom fixtures. The pool is nice, but the jacuzzi is constantly "under construction" for my last 2 visits (6 months apart!) and the children's pool is always drained with caution tape around it. Beach access is a plus, as is the Chandan Spa. The staff are friendly and accommodating, but there is not much they can do but change you from one outdated, dirty room to another. With all the hotels available at this price, stay somewhere cleaner and fresher in Tumon Bay!

The TV was outdated, too old, no USB available. I wanted more movies and channels available on the TV. No microwave. Twin beds were too close together. The room was clean and comfortable.

The room needs renovation and facelift to updated styles and furnitures.

room was not what i ask for!! picture for ocean view online browsing needs to be update, room also was not to pleasing had that old hotel room smell...had to make use of room no other upgrade to accomendate guess for what there looking for....

It is good for the price, excellent buffet at the Asian restaurant. View great... I took some nice sunrise pix!

Nice view great breakfast good service great location

I love the hotel's location because it's very close to the beach, restaurants, shops and car rental. Only complaint I have is I wish the hotel provides free shuttle from the hotel to airport or vice versa since the airport is so close to the hotel and many hotels provide free shuttle services for their guests.

lobby is nice and big but not aircon. bath room is worst, no ventilation, carpet is old and feel moist. phone got stolen using the phone charge machine, should be stolen by employee with master pin/passcode.
