This hotel was given a 4* rating; more like 2*. Food was monotonous. Was served chicken which was raw in middle. On speaking to others at the hotel this was one thing that they had all experienced be it with chicken or pork. On 3 occasions the bath towel (more the size of a hand towel) had holes in it and frayed edges. The towels we were given for poolside weren't allowed to be changed daily - had to be every 2 days - however when I tried to change them after 2 days they had no clean ones to give out so it meant that on two occasions we didn't manage to get them changed until we'd had them 4 days! The double bed was 2 single beds pushed together and were so hard it was like sleeping on a brick. The pillows were dreadful. The room on our arrival was clean however during our stay, even when we hung the label outside our door requesting a clean, it was more like 'a lick and a promise' and a quick sweep. This is the ONLY all inclusive holiday we've been on where we have had to pay €3 per night to have use of the safe in our room (and we always do all inclusive on our 2 week breaks). It is also the only one that makes you pay €9.90 per day if you want your mini bar filled with two bottles of water, 2 bottles of beer, 2 soft drinks and a pack of crisps! Also the all inclusive snacks during the day (poolside) were a ham and cheese toast or a mini cheese baguette and only free from 11am to 1pm. Any other time you had to pay. Anything else like crisps, chips, ice-cream etc you had to pay for; hardly 'all inclusive'. Evening entertainment was dreadful and made Butlins Red Coats seem like West End musical stars! The ONLY 4* element of the hotel were the reception staff, bar staff and waiters/waitresses who were charming and helpful. Suffice it to say we shan't return there.
I had a big problem on New Year's Eve. I arrived at the hotel at the end of the afternoon, I went to take a shower to go to dinner and there was no hot water, they wrapped me up for two hours, and I was told that there were a lot of people staying and that there was no hot water. End of the story, I delayed two hours and took a cold shower. Not to mention the lack of respect at the reception and the slow and slow waiters in the pool area. The cleaning was not very good either. But the rooms are good and the best with sea view and balcony are very good.
I decided to stay at this hotel because some people recommend it, however the first night We just found out that everything was a complete nightmare, the staff in reception have no clue of customer service when I complain about the room, which was a mess, towels with blood stains, filthy floors, just horrible nightmare. My recommendation will be to avoid this place for your own sake!
I guess this is a good option in the area, fair price and clean facilities. Way much better than the Maeva , which we visited in our previous trip. No elevator but it's only a two story building. The staff was nice , the room thermostat didn't work properly, we were too cold at night. The beach area was clean. I guess this is as good as it gets in the beach strip.
Had a great time in this place. The food was great and the employees where very friendly. This is a great place to travel to, if you are looking to stay in the beach at an affordable price. Also, I really liked that it had to pools. I would really recommend this place to my friends and family.
I recently went for a wedding and overall I had a good experience. I went on a raining/cool week so I didn't get to enjoy the pool or the beach but I have been to that beach before and its beautiful. Nothing compared to Galveston if your from Houston/Galveston. The service was great, the only down fall was no elevators! I couldn't believe that! I was on the 4th floor, besides that I had a nice room with a view to the beach. Did I mention its cheap to book a suit.
It's a shame and a robbery. When, during check out, we told politely to the manager about all the problems my friends and i had had, she inmediatley reacted in a defensive manner and the only thing she dared to do was to ask with a rude expression in her face: "well, you should have told us before". We said that we had, but then again the only thing that came to her mind was to call the lady who cleaned the room in order to 'verify' if what we were saying was true!!!
Booked the hotel with out reccomendation. What luck!! The staff was so friendly.. spoke some English... and very helpful. We were given the Master Suite at a considerable discount because the hotel was fully booked. The Master Suite has two bedroom and two baths, a mini kitchen and a small living room. For two people it was way too much, but for a family or blended family it would be perfect and the split cost of the Suite would be nothing. There is a restaurant down stairs that serves breakfast, and there is also a patio to sit outside if the weather is nice. The hours were from 7am to noon. The main hotel is across the street from the beach but there is a second story walkover for your security during peak vacation traffic, On the beach side of the street is another hotel restaurant that is open from noon till 'late'. I had the best fish dinner I've ever eaten in my life time. The beach is people free, the pool was clean and cold, but the Gulf of Mexico waters were clear and warm. The hotel must have been a luxury hotel at one time... It is now a little old, but it was clean and quiet, the staff was excellent, the sheets and towels are clean and fresh, and there is room service every day. I didn't have time to explore the city. We only had time for a mini trip and this was a jewel of a find,
I went for a family wedding and loved the place. You'll find the staff is strict about following policies but it's not their fault. The service is great and for the wedding everything was done properly. Had the suite which is great for up to 8 people, with lots of room, a small fridge and a microwave. The main pool is so nice and the beach just amazing. Had breakfast in the restaurant and it was good. The food served at the wedding was amazing and fresh. Went for a run on the beach and felt safe and had a great time.
I was just down for the weekend and all i really wanted was a place with a window that opens up toward the beach. I was assured that the room opened up to the beach.... nothing was said; however, about the main hotel building that was between my room and the beach. no ocean view this trip! I was very disappointed with the quality of amenities in the room... the beds were so poor i felt I was sleeping on a cardboard covered with a blanket. lots of kitchenette cabinet space... cheap, white, laminate cabinets like I have in my laundry room - with nothing in the cabinets! no plates, no flatware, only a few Styrofoam cups that were probably left by a previous client. no running hot water in the kitchenette. and I had to plug in the refrigerator... while in my room I felt I was staying in a cheap hotel - Hotel 6 offers more in-room elegance!. I will say that the restaurant, food and food service was very, very nice, as well as the pools and other resort type amenities. I also found the resort staff to be very friendly and accommodating I was mostly disappointed with the room for the price i paid of about $112 / night.
