Loved this hotel. The location was right in old town and very convenient to get back to room if needed. The hotel is certainly charming....old elevator and all. It was a great stay. The only thing negative was the bathtub/shower. It worked fine but the water ended up all over the floor. This does seem to be a common theme around Europe but it is still a little annoying. Otherwise, we certainly would stay here again. The price that included breakfast was great.
The location of the hotel is fantastic, you are just in the hearth of old town. Although our room was facing the street, there was no noise. Our room was a triple room. It was so spacious and we had everything we need. But as I heard from others, double rooms were a little small. The hotel was generally clean and tidy. The breakfast was just basic and the staff was very kind. I would prefer to stay at Baron's Hotel again next time.
Its like something from the thirties, surprised i didn't see Poirot , Art Deco in style the whole place is amazing, we had a suite at the front with the most fantastic view towards the town square, the room was well furnished and huge, the breakfast was great as were the very friendly staff, its great to get away from those sterile corporate chain hotels which this isn't, its right in the centre of the old town, literally minutes from the wonderful old town square, absolutely loved the place, I've stayed in loads of hotels in northern Europe , this is one of my favourites,
Wow, the location is incredibly central, you are right in the heart of the old city here and there are so many sights, cafes and restaurants just minutes away. The breakfast here is really lovely, rooms are simple but clean… and the hotel lobby is absolutely gorgeous. When I return to Tallinn I will definitely stay here again.
It was comfortable location, not far from the heart of old town. It was a little too loud in the night time. Room was clean. Staff was nothing special, not making good feeling. Breakfast was included, nothing special too.
This is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. A very short walk to the town square with its cafes & bars and well placed for all the lovely old City sites. The room (310) is very spacious but a bit weird and not good if you like fresh air. It has an enormous skylight but no other windows . The beds are simple and surprisingly comfortable. As the hotel used to be a bank, you get to use a safe deposit box in the original vault if you need to put passports / cash away. The breakfast buffet is very fresh, plentiful and varied. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Will definitely be recommending this one.
Me and my husband stayed at Barons one night. We wanted something special because it was our wedding anniversary. So we decided to try Barons Boutique Hotel and booked a Barons Suite. We have travelled a lot and were waiting something really nice and extra based on reviews we read. But... Basically nothing was really wrong but something was missing that should be there in the hotel of this kind. Location is great, just around the corner of main square of Tallinn old city. But the other side was that the noise from the street came loud and clear to the room. Also there was loud noise from next door room young people partying. The room itself was nice and clean, except the sheets that had some stains that possibly had not become clean at the previous loundry. Also textiles at the breakfast room were little worn out and not so clean. Breakfast had nothing extra, one can find the same at every hotel. I also discovered a hair from my bread. And service was, even nicely but cold, they basically just collected our money. We will not recommend this hotel and will not stay there again.
The reason why i choose this hotel is because it is an old hotel with history~~ it is an early 20th century art nouveau building which used to be a bank.. anyway i had a pleasant one night stay there.. our room was standard and it was clean. Toilet was fine as well. Breakfast was okay. I love the high ceiling and with the classic curtain. i appreciate classic old stuff but it depends on the circumstances.. this time i am satisfied, old hotel with basic ammenities covered, and clean room.
Stayed here for 3 nights. Room size is small. But it was clean. Bfast was decent. Best thing about the hotel is its location. Located in the old town it takes few minutes to go to anywhere in the old town. I took break from my walk as hotel was so nearby. Information centre is 200 mts away and many tours start from there. Though felt cost was high for the fa ilities available it was convenient for me from the location perpective being a solo traveler
Barons hotel is still our favourite in Tallin. It is in the middle of the town, rooms are so OK and service everywhere in the hotel is fine for us ... for humble Aerotravelling. Thank you Barons! We will certainly meet again... On some sunny day.
