Pinwheel Place off the Square

This 1904 Queen Anne Victorian is even more charming than ever before! The home has never been vacant as the story goes: Sally Rogers was widowed for the second time soon after her second husband built the house for her. She was left to raise her three children alone and the home became a boarding house of necessity for singles and young married couples with no children. One of her daughters lived in the home well into her old age. The house has been well-maintained over the years serving as a dentist office, hostel, and events venue. It has always been a bit plain through the years. Rusty and I bought it and are in process of adding a bit of well-deserved filigree to this gloriously well-preserved historic Beauty. We've added mural work here and there and wainscoting, created a dark academia themed elegant drawing room, installed a gorgeous old world Victorian pecan wood kitchen, a foyer crystal chandelier and marble top bar. The breezy wrap around porch faces the 1834 Presbyterian Church dating to the year of Talladega's founding. Located one block from Talladega's town square and an evening stroll from the historic Ritz Theater, you'll feel like you've stepped back in time when you walk back home from a concert. This special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit to Talladega and nearby places of interest like NASCAR at the Talladega Speedway, Cheaha Mt. State Park, CMP Marksmanship Park, AIDB, the Historic Talladega College, April in Talladega's Silk Stocking District, and much more!

The apartment is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 3 bathrooms, and a patio. There's space to spread out with 2 bedrooms and a dining area. Guests can enjoy a TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a washing machine and a coffee maker.
