We booked an Executive room. However, the lounge which is room 2020 made us feel very disappointed, there’s nothing there, just really simple dry cheap snacks and a bit more space of sofa and a very few type of soda beverages. During evening, we expected a little snack such as happy hour time but nothing there. Then we left right away. In room facilities, no body lotion in the room. Only one box face tissue in the bedroom, two bottles of dinking water for the whole room. You have coffee and tea sets but the water is not enough for cooking them and drink cold at the same time. (Everyone has different preferences. )The rest you need to call HK or go to the mini lounge. No warm chocolate drink either or hand warmer bags. In my mind, The Landis Taichung has already beaten this place. Staff service is regular, she forgot to tell us that all of beverages in the fridge are complimentary until we figured it out by ourselves. However the rest is good. We were not being escorted to the room or at least to the elevator even for the first time you arrive. They had never left the counter even though we were the only customer at the time. The Hotel one Landis Taichung has better service at this point. I am not complaining for something but I hope you can do better!
Very nice hotel with warm hospitality. The rooms are good but the mini bar was empty. The quality of the breakfast is very poor.. not healthy options and the juices were not fresh. The best part is the swimming pool area!
We only spent one night at this marvelous hotel. The reception and lobby are is amazing and the rooms of a very high standard. The breakfast in the morning was truly excellent. Next time I am in Tainan, I would very much like to stay here again!
The location is excellent, right in city centre, great for exploring. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. We loved the separate rain shower and huge soaking tub! The breakfast was amazing - an eye dropping selection of east and west cuisines. All great quality and very tasty. We can’t wait to go back!
Stayed in this hotel for one night. The room is big, spacious and clean. Water pressure in the bath room was powerful. Service was good and the breakfast spread was awesome. Will definitely recommend this hotel.
The rooms and beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was also very high quality. The staff were nice and helpful as well. There was little to complain about, however, the breakfast was very crowded and hectic. Overall very nice stay.
Room was clean and spacious. Staff were friendly and courteous. Breakfast buffet was good. There is a big department store right next door that offers great shopping and dining options. There were not enough taxi on the streets of Tainan (it is a common situation in Souther Taiwan cities), so it was a challenge when we need one.
The hotel is conveniently located. The shuttle bus from the high speed railway station is right across the street. Shin Kong Mitsukoshi department store with restaurants on the top floor and food court in the basement is right next door. Well rated eateries are also nearby. The hotel still looks new. The room is big and comfortable. You simply melt in the bedding. They provide fresh fruits and local cookies every day. The bathroom is big and the shower head has enough water pressure to let occupants enjoy a great shower. I had both breakfast and lunch at the hotel during my stay. The buffets, both breakfast and lunch were sumptuous with Chinese, Western and Japanese foods.both buffets changed very little every day. So after a few days, you would get tired of the buffet. The hotel staff in general is well trained except a a couple when I was dealing with them for my folio. The manners of the staff are very much like the Japanese, courteous and efficient. I’ll stay there again if I ever visit Tainan again.
2.5 stars Currently in my room writing this review So far it's average at best. The pictures definitely looks much better. Food: eh. For a town that's known for food, so far not impressed. The cakes in the cafe very not sweet and not moist. Room: I was initially given a room that had remnants of someone smoking there prior. How can the staff clean a room and not attempt to get rid of the smell prior to giving it to your next guest? We did get to switch rooms eventually but had to wait. Check in time was 4 o clock on the dot. If you have to check in prior, then it maybe an issue. So far average experience. Will update more if my experience has changed.
I’ve been this hotel several times, the last visit was still very impressive early this year. But this time turn out to be a not so good experience. First of all, it now has a lot of tourist group. I am not against group, if you can handle it well. But no, not even the elevator. We took more than 10 minuets to go down stairs when we were checking out around 9AM. But other time slot still took you 3-5 minuets to get in one. This is very far from the experience we had before. You can see this hotel is fading away from a luxury 5 star hotel from little place. I can understand it is no easy job to remodel whole hotel, but at least you can star paying attention to all the little place or decoration from the room.
